A Damage Analysis of Glass/phenol Laminated Composite Subjected to Low Velocity Impact (저속 충격을 받는 Glass/phenol 복합적층재의 손상 해석)

  • Traditionally unidirectional laminated composite which are characterized by high specific stiffness and strength were used for structural application. But theses composites are highly susceptible to impact damage because of lower transverse tensile strength. The main failure modes of laminated composite are fiber breakage, matrix cracking and delamination for low velocity impact. The modified failure criterions are implemented to predict these failure modes with finite element analysis. Failure behavior of the woven fabric laminated composite which is used in forehead part of subway to lighten weigh has been studied. The new failure criterions are in good agreement with experimental results and can predict the failure behavior of the woven fabric composite plate subjected to low velocity impact more accurately.

  • A failure probability model based on Von-Mises failure criterion and the standard normal probability function is proposed. The effects of varying boundary conditions such as internal fluid pressure, external soil, traffic loads, temperature change and corrosion on failure probability of the buried pipes are systematically investigated. To allow for the uncertainties of the design variables, a reliability analysis technique has been adopted; this also allows calculation of the relative contribution of the random variables and the sensitivity of the failure probability.

  • A failure probability model based on Von-Mises failure criterion and the standard normal probability function is proposed. The effects of varying boundary conditions such as nearby cavity, backfill, load cycle and corrosion on failure probability of the buried pipes are systematically investigated. The location of cavity is found to affect failure probability of buried pipeline within a certain limit. It is noted that the flexibility of backfill plays a great role to change the failure probability of buried pipeline. Furthermore, the corrosion gives less effects than other boundary conditions such as cavity, load as cavity, load cycle, and backfill to the failure probability of buried pipeline.

  • PV모듈은 다수의 태양전지를 상호 연결한 후 라미네이션(Lamination)공정을 통해 오랜 시간 견딜 수 있는 하나의 구조물로 만든 것이다. 외부환경 노출되어 장시간 발전하는 PV모듈은 설하중 풍하중 등 다양한 응력을 받는다. 이러한 외부 응력은 PV모듈 내부의 태양전지를 파손시켜 발전 출력의 감소를 발생 시킬 수 있다. 따라서 기계적 신뢰성을 보장하는 것은 매우 중요하며, PV모듈의 기계적 강도를 향상시키기 위한 연구가 활발히 진행되어지고 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 PV모듈의 기계적, 물리적 변형을 최소화 하고자 PV모듈 전면에 사용되는 강화유리의 두께를 증가시켜 기계하중 시험을 진행하였다. 실험은 K SC IEC 61215의 PV모듈 인증시험 기준에서 제시하는 기계강도 시험과 동일한 방식으로 시험을 실시 하였으며, 전면유리 두께가 3.2 mm, 4 mm, 5 mm인 PV모듈을 사용하여 하중에 대한 최대변형과 출력 변화를 관찰하였으며, EL (electroluminescence) 측정을 통하여 기계강도 실험전 후의 모듈 내부 태양전지 파손 여부를 확인하였다. 이러한 결과는 PV모듈에 대한 내풍압 및 적설하중 등 Field에서 발생될 수 있는 물리적 내구성능을 분석하는데 많은 도움이 될 수 있다.

A Study on Non-Destructive Safety Evaluation Platform of Internal Defects of the Composite Hydrogen Tank using Finite Element Analysis (유한요소해석을 이용한 수소압력용기 비파괴 시험 평가 플랫폼의 안전성 기준 개발 연구)

  • In this study, damage resulting from internal flaws was investigated by finite element analysis for the safety evaluation of a non-destructive testing platform for hydrogen pressure vessels. A specimen was modeled and calculated using finite element analysis to determine material properties in accordance with the parameters of the composite material in order to assess the safety of the Type 4 hydrogen pressure vessel. Through this, flaws in the hydrogen pressure vessel were modeled, and test conditions were provided in accordance with rules to look into whether there was safety. Delamination, foreign object, and vertical cracks were modeled for internal flaws, and damage was examined in accordance with failure criteria. As the delamination defect approached the interior of the hydrogen pressure tank, it became more likely to cause damage. Additionally, as the crack depth grew in the case of vertical cracks, the likelihood of crack propagation rose. On the other hand, it was anticipated that the foreign item defect would suffer more damage from the outside in. A non-destructive testing platform will be used to assess the safety of fuel cell vehicles that are already in operation in future research.

  • 석유, 화학 설비를 구성하고 있는 기기의 파손으로 인하여 파생되는 인명, 재산 그리고 환경에 대한 피해가 엄청나다는 것은 산업사회가 고도화 될 수록 그 정도를 더해가고 있다. 최근 우리 나라에서도 석유, 화학 설비의 폭발사고 또는 부실시공에 대한 고발 등의 사회적 문제가 발생 하는 것도 간과할 수 없는 현실이다. 이러한 사례는 우리나라의 관련법규와 사회제도를 반영한 통일된 기술기준의 부재에서 비롯되었다고 필자는 주장하고 싶다. 이와 병행하여 통일된 기술 기준에 입각하여 제반 설비가 건설 및 운전되는지를 관리하고, 감독 및 검사하는 기능과 기법이 정리되어 있지 못한 것도 한 원인으로 들 수 있다. 따라서 석유, 화학설비를 보유하고 있는 관 련기관이 기술기준을 개발하고 그에 준하여 이행 여부를 관리, 감독하는 검사 기능을 강화하여야 보일러 및 압력용기의 폭발사고 및 부실시공을 미연에 방지할 수 있는 근본적인 치유책이 될 수 있을 것이다.

Door-Lock System to Detect and Transmit in Real Time according to External Shock Sensitivity (외부 충격 감도에 따른 실시간으로 탐지하고 전송하는 Door-Lock 시스템)

  • The purpose of this study is to prevent the malicious user from breaking the door-lock due to physical impact. If it matches the analog displacement value set in the door-lock system, it protects the body and property by transmitting damage information in real time to the manager smart phone. The research suggests a system that transmits damage information in real time to registered users when door-lock is damaged by physical impact. Then compare the impact information sensed by the door lock with the data of the sensitivity control unit. In the web server of the proposed system, after impact information transmitted from Door-Lock is stored in the DB, if the impact information is larger than the shock detection transmission reference value stored in the DB, it is transmitted to the administrator in real time by SMS module so that illegal access information.

An Analysis of Factors Affecting Severity of Elderly Driver in Frontal Collision (정면충돌에서 노인운전자의 중증도에 영향을 주는 요인 분석)

  • The increase in the elderly population also increased the damage and deaths of the elderly drivers. However, studies on the severity and severity of the elderly driver are not actively conducted and the factors are unknown. In this study, I tried to find out the factors affecting the damage and severity of the elderly driver in the frontal collision and to utilize them additionally in the severity classification. Collision Deformation Classification (CDC) Code was used to check the extent of damage to the vehicle. Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) was used to determine the injury parts and severity of injury, and the Injury Severity Score (ISS) to confirm the severity of the patient. The odds ratios of severe injury patients were found to be 7.381 in the subjects with 5 or more deformation extent and the ${\beta}$ value of the deformation extent was 0.453 in the analysis of the severity by linear regression analysis. Therefore, the degree of deformation extent of 5 or more can be suggested as a criterion that can be used additionally to the severity classification in the elderly driver.

  • An integrated circuit for magnetic stripe storage system is implemented. All the analog and digital circuits are integrated in one chip. The analog block contains preamplifier, peak detecter, comparator and reference generater. And digital block includes reference window signal generater, up/down counter for F/2F signal measurement, bit-error detection logic, and control logic. Both the encoding and decoding functions for F/2F signal processing are provided. An AGC(automatic gain control) circuit which was included in conventional circuits is eliminated due to optimized circuit design. Misreading prevention circuits are also proposed by fixing up new reference bit when broken bits are detected. The prototype chip is implemented using $0.8{\mu}m$ N-well CMOS technology and operates from 3.3 V to 7.5 V of supply voltage. It occupies a die area of $3.04mm^2(1.6mm{\times}1.9mm)$ and dissipates 8 mW with a 5 V supply voltage.

Durability Test and Test Jig Development of an Automotive Parking Lock Gear (자동차용 파킹 락 기어의 내구시험과 시험 지그 개발)

  • Generally, the durability of the parking lock gear is evaluated through an endurance test for the entire transmission but no test standard exists for the durability test of one part of a parking lock gear. Therefore, in this study, the durability test standards of the parking lock gear were determined autonomously, and the durability performance test was conducted. A static fracture test was carried out to determine the yield strength of the parking lock gear, and a durability test condition was set to 60 % of the yield strength. The durability test of 1,000,000 times was conducted under the given conditions using a dedicated test jig manufactured for the test. Because the jig fractured during the static fracture test, finite element analysis for the jig was carried out and the jig was re-designed. The modified jig was manufactured and the durability test was carried out based on the test standard of autonomously. The basic data on the performance and endurance limit of the parking lock gear were obtained using these tests and analyses, and the basic data will be used as fundamental materials for the design and the development of the parking lock gear.
