  • Through investing the criteria and evaluation for fire performance of interior components, this paper introduce the testing items and requirements for Flammability, Smoke density, and Toxicity properties of TTX(Tilting Train eXpress) interior parts. Next time, all trains including TTX will be occupied the components with superior fire-resistance and the sensing and monitoring system for fire in train.

  • In an express tilting train, side wall insulating the noise from the exterior sound source consists of two parts. One is the layered composite panel including aluminum honeycomb, glass wool and nomex honeycomb. The other is the double glazed window. In this study, sound insulation performance of the two parts is investigated by mass law and experiment. Based on ASTM E2249-02, the intensity sound transmission loss (TL) is measured on the specimens of the two parts. Mass law deviation (MLD) is considered in order to compare the sound insulation performance in respect of weight. Contribution of each part to the sound insulation is analyzed and the sound insulation strategy for the interior noise reduction is investigated.

  • 최근 한국철도기술연구원이 개발한 한국형 틸팅열차(TTX) "한빛 200"은 현재 호남선, 중앙선, 충북선 그리고 태백선에서 시험 운행 중에 있다. 본 논문은 TTX가 기존선로에서 시험 운행하는 동안 TTX에 공급되는 전압을 계측 하여 각 기존선로에서 공급하는 전압의 상태를 분석하였다. TTX에 공급되는 전압을 직접 계측하기 위해 TTX의 판토그래프 밑단인 부분에 PT를 설치하여 변압기 1차측 전압을 계측하였다. 정확한 분석을 위해 계측 시 TTX외의 다른 열차와 교차 상황과 주변상황에 대해 기록하였으며, CBEMA 커브를 이용하여 가선전압 상태에 대한 분석을 하였다. 그 결과 호남선, 중앙선, 태백선 모두 정격전압(25[kV])의 110[%]이상의 전압이 200[s]이상 공급되는 구역도 있었으며 빈번하게 110[%]를 초과하고 있는 것으로 분석됐다. 특히 태백선의 가선전압의 상태가 가장 좋지 않은 것으로 분석됐다. 이렇게 가선전압 분석결과는 앞으로 중앙선 및 태백선에 상용화될 TTX의 동력장치 및 전력변환장치를 안정화하는데 도움이 될 것으로 사료된다.

  • This paper suggested that the technical specification of tilting train EMU for speed up on existing lines. High speed strategy of existing lines are the modification of railway system which are made on cant, lengths of transition curves, the catenary system and train system. Tilting technology is more useful a strategy for speed increases on existing lines with low investment needed. We performed a feasibility study which is considered out real track conditions and designed propulsion and braking system of tilting EMU system.

  • Tilting trains are now an established feature of railway operations throughout the world. For intercity traffic, tilt provides operators with increasing speeds, and therefore enhanced competitiveness, on existing routes where insufficient traffic or a lack of funds precludes the construction of a dedicated new high-speed railway. Appling the tilting train, we can expect $30\%$ of speed up on existing lines, but the stability of the electric current would be low because of tilting the train. Also, the spark between the catenary and pantograph cause environmental problems such as noise, radio wave malfunction. Therefore, the tilting on pantograph for the power suppling device is very essential for stable electric power supply.

  • Systems engineering test and evaluation technology development program for (Korea) Express Tilting Train(TTX) system in progress is a national large system development program that is not only a large-size and complex but also muti-disciplinary in nature. For the TTX test and evaluation technology development, verification requirements that could verify system function and performance, should be derived from system specification. Hereafter, this could be listed as items of test. System engineering process establishes traceability between items of test and system requirements. These tasks could be accomplished by the schema. Using the Core, a system engineering tool, TTX program could be database and oter system related to TTX program will be developed effectively and efficiency.

  • Tilting train has been developed to increase the operational speed of the trains on conventional lines which have many curves. This train are tilted at curves to compensate for unbalanced carbody centrifugal acceleration to a greater extent than compensation produced by the track cant, so that passengers do not feel centrifugal acceleration and thus trains can run at higher speed at curves. This paper investigated train formation of TTX(tilting train express) with maximum operation speed 180 km/h.

  • Test evaluation field of railroad system that safety and reliability are important is to verify basic performances of unit products and system that were producted according to the specifications. Also, it is important works that verify finally in respect to commercialize verifying reliability and safety. As one part of system technology, this field is to construct database based on know-how of accumulated technology till now than high technical idea and, is to construct test evaluation system of railroad system that can utilize the constructed database. According to the necessity, our researchers investigated good measuring system of foreign country and performed research on performance test and evaluation technology of high-speed tilting vehicle that suits to domestic state.
