A Study on the (Ba. Pb) TiO3 Thin Films by MOD Process (MOD법에 의한 (Ba.Pb)TiO3 박막 제조 및 특성에 대한 연구)

  • 마이크로회로내에서 티탄산바륨 중 바륨의 일부가 납으로 치환됨에 따른 전기적 특 성의 변화를 확인하기 위하여 MOD(금속유기화합물 분해법)공정에 의 barum 2-ethylhexanoate, barium neodecanoate, lead 2-ethylhexanoate 및 titanium dimethoxy 야 -2-ethylhexanoate 와 같은 MOC(금속 유기화합물) 들을 합성하고 공통 용매에 대한 용해 도를 시험하였다. 그 결과 barium 2-ethylhexanoate 만 p-xylene에 대한 용해도가 낮았으며 그 외의 다른 MOC들은 모두 p-xylene 단일 용매에 매우 잘 용해되었다. 바륨의 일부가 납 으로 치환된 티탄산 납바륨 박막은 MOC 혼합용액을 ITO/glass, Pt/SiO2/Si 및 Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si 웨이퍼 기판 위에 spin coating 하고 소성하여 얻었다. 이와 같이 얻어진 박막 의 전기적 특성을 측정하고 그 결과를 비교 고찰하였다.

Flexible Piezoelectric Nanocomposite Generator Devices based on BaTiO3 Dendrite Nanostructure (티탄산바륨 덴드라이트 나노구조체 기반 플렉서블 압전 나노발전소자)

  • In this paper, the flexible piezoelectric nanocomposite generator(NCG) device based on $BaTiO_3$ nanostructures was fabricated via simple and low-cost spin coating method. The $BaTiO_3$ nanostructures synthesized by self-assembly reaction showed dendrite morphologies. To produce the piezoelectric nanocomposite(p-NC layer) which acts as an electric energy source in NCG device, the piezoelectric nanopowders($BaTiO_3$) were dispersed in polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS). Sequently, the p-NC layer was inserted in two dielectric layer of PDMS; these layers enabled the NCG device flexibility as well as durability prohibiting detachment(exfoliation) for significantly mechanical bending motions. The fabricated NCG device shows average maximum open circuit voltage of 6.2 V and average maximum current signals of 300 nA at 20 wt% composition of $BaTiO_3$ nanostructures in p-NC layer. Finally, the flexible energy harvester generates stable output signals at any rate of frequency which were used to operate LCD device without any external energy supply.

  • Barium titanyl oxalate was synthesized by adding ethanol solution of oxalic acid to the mixed aqueous solution which contained barium or lanthanum radiotracers in addition to Ba(NO$_3)_2$ and TiO(NO$_3)_2$. The oxalate was finally converted to BaTiO$_3$ by calcination at 1000$^{\circ}$C in air. The chemical formula of the oxalate was confirmed to be BaTiO(CTEX>$_2O_4)_2{\cdot}4H_2O$ by the thermal analysis of the barium titanyl oxalate. When the mixture's molar ratio(Ba/Ti) was within a range of 0.950-1.05, the formation of stoichiometric Barium titanate was confirmed with the help of barium tracers. The homogeneity of lanthanum deposite in the final product was also confirmed through the behavior of lanthanum tracers. The results as well as those obtained by XRD and SEM have been explained on the basis of the fact that the reaction occurs on the molecular level in solution and the barium titanate is formed in crystals of single phase.

  • Sol-Gel Process is a new method of synthesis of high-quality of glass and glass-ceramics. Ferroeletric material, $BaTiO_3$ powder was made by reacting $Ba(OH)_2$ and $Ti[OCH(CH_3)_2]_4$ in alcohol. There was about 16.5% weight loss in thermogravimetric analysis. It was crystallized to tetragonal structure by heat treatment at $700^{\circ}C$ for 2 hours and had a specific surface area, 16.0 $m^2/g.$ Shrinkage curve by sintering was began around $1100^{\circ}C$ in dilatometer analysis.

  • Barium titanyl oxalates (BTO) has been homogeneously prepared by thermal decomposition of dimethyl oxalate (DMO) in hydrochloric solution containing $Ba^{2+}$ and $Ti^{4+}$. Particles of BTO settled on the bottom of the beaker were collected at the aging time of 120 min using hydroxy propyl cellulose (HPC) as a dispersant. The reaction temperature, the concentration ratio of $[DMO]_0/([Ba^{2+}]_0+[Ti^{4+}]_0)$ and the existence of HPC were found to influence on morphologies of BTO, chemical yields and characteristics of barium titanates formed from their precursors.

  • In this study, 12 different chemical species of fine ceramic($BaTiO_3$) were synthesized as the standard materials for the fast and accurate measurements of X-ray fluorescence spectrometry. Samples were diluted to sixteen times with the filling compound ($Li_2B_4O_7+LiBO_2$) in order to remove the matrix effect, and to get the convenient storage and homogeneity of ingredients. The matrix effects among the ingredients were corrected by the empirical coefficient method based on the Lucas-Tooth and Price model. The standard curve on 12 standard materials containing 15 elements were obtained by using X-ray fluorescence spectrometry at three different laboratories. The correlation factors of BaO, PbO, SrO, $Fe_2O_3$, $La_2O_3$, $SnO_2$, ZnO, $ZrO_2$, CaO indicated the relati vely good agreement over 0.995 among the three different laboratories. $SiO_2$ and $Al_2O_3$ showed the poor linearity because of their low fluorescence intensities.
