  • Recently, the cases of archiving for digital contents are being increased throughout the world. Owing to the characteristics of digital contents including the issues on volatile property and authenticity, preservation weakness, and aging in the reproductive tool, it requires special management for long-term preservation. A successful digital archiving seems to be possible in the stage-oriented practice through the cooperation of interested organizations based on the systematically established and stipulated policy. This is the basic study that was designed for the establishment of the policy on digital contents archiving in KISTI(Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information), which is a representative organization for the distribution of science and technology information. By investigating and analyzing the cases of overseas policies on digital contents archiving, it intended to understand the framework of digital archiving policy while suggesting measures on the macroscopic items that were included in the archiving policies through the interview conducted to expert groups.

  • As a substitute for preventing school violence, the reward and punishment system has some problems such as different imposition basis for each teacher, ambiguity of applicable items, and difficulties in directing students in relation to parents of students. In this thesis, a reward and punishment points management system is implemented based on the web to solve the problems. The week point of the current system is complemented by separating the system into four parts, operating each part that is operated by administrators, teachers, students and their parents respectively and sharing their data. In addition, as each group of administrators, teachers, students and their parents is organically connected to the system, when special problems occur, the problems can be solved effectively. Therefore, if the implemented system is used in the field, the guidance of human nature is naturally conducted by understanding broadly for student's living guidance. Furthermore, it can be helpful to prevent students from school violence in advance.

CLUE-s(Conversion of Land Use and its Effects at Small regional extent)

  • Korean Ministry of Health and Welfare started to implement oral health hub center to provide oral health preventive program and dental treatment to public, especially dental vulnerable class in 2006. But, there is no applicant area to implement it regardless of national budget arrangement in 2012. This study is aimed to investigate the reason not to be implemented and requirements of implementation. 293 among 1,000 public dental hygienists in the area where have not implemented oral health hub center were surveyed in Korea from April to July in 2012 through convenience sampling. The questionnaire consisted of the reason why oral health hub center have not been implemented, the requirement of implementation, duty area and duty position et al. After removal of insufficient responses, 217 questionnaires were analyzed by t-test and ANOVA using SPSS 20.0. The reason why oral health hub center have not been implemented were deficiency of the priority list as compared with other health program (72.4%), space insufficiency (71.4%), regional budget insufficiency (70.5%), will insufficiency of oral health promotion (70.5%) and manpower insufficiency (62.7%). The first requirement of implementation were space expansion and regional budget expansion, followed by reduction of record-originated and administrative tasks, understanding on oral health program of higher ranking public officials in health center, manpower expansion, reduction of other tasks than oral health program and volunteer source expansion. Budget insufficiency and manpower insufficiency in Metropolis were ranked higher than other area (p<0.05). The group not to discuss oral health hub center graded each reason not to be implemented significantly higher than the other group (p<0.05). We suggested that to promote the importance of public oral health program be needed to public and higher ranking public officials to implement oral health hub center. In addition, we insisted that more dental manpower and budget be needed for reduction of oral health inequity in metropolis.

  • In this study, we used the CLUE-s model to predict the future land-use change based on the urban growth scenario in South Korea. The land-use maps of six classes (water, urban, rice paddy, upland crop, forest, and grass) for the year 2008 were obtained from the Ministry of Environment (MOE), and the land-use data for 5-year intervals between 1980 and 2010 were obtained from the Water Resources Management Information System (WAMIS), South Korea. For predicting the future land-use change, the MOE environmental conservation value assessment map (ECVAM) was considered for identifying the development-restricted areas, and various driving factors as location characteristics were prepared for the model. The predicted results were verified by comparing them with the land-use statistics of urban areas in each province for the year 2008. The prediction error rates were 9.47% in Gyeonggi, 9.96% in Gangwon, 10.63% in Chungbuk, 7.53% in Chungnam, 9.48% in Jeonbuk, 6.92% in Jeonnam, 2.50% in Gyeongbuk, and 8.09% in Gyeongnam. The sources of error might come from the gaps between the development of political decisions in reality with spatio-temporal variation and the mathematical model for urban growth rate in CLUE-s model for future scenarios. Based on the land-use scenario in 2008, the land-use predictions for the year 2100 showed that the urban area increased by 28.24%, and the rice paddy, upland crop, and forest areas decreased by 8.27, 6.72, and 1.66%, respectively, in South Korea.

  • The Purpose of this study was to clarity morphological differences among mandibular dental arch forms in Korean malocclusion patients. The sample in this study consisted of 114 Class I. 119 Class II, and 135 Class III malocclusion cases. The most facial portions of 13 proximal contact areas were digitized from photocopied images of the mandibular dental arches. Clinical bracket points were calculated for each tooth based on the data on the mandibular tooth thickness. Four linear and two proportional measurements were undertaken The dental arches were classified into square. ovoid, and tapered forms to compare the frequency distributions. Our results suggested that there was no single arch form specific to any particular Angle classification or sex. It appeared to be the frequency of a particular arch form that varies among the Angle classifications. In comparison of arch measurements between male and female. there was no statistical difference except in the intermolar width. In comparison of arch size measurements among the different Angle classifications, there were statistically significant differences between Class I and Class III malocclusion groups and between Class II and Class III malocclusion groups. In comparison oi frequency distribution of arch forms in Class I and III malocclusion groups, the square form demonstrated the highest distribution followed by the ovoid and tapered forms in that order. In the Class II malocclusion group, the square form showed the highest distribution. followed by the tapered and ovoid forms in that order There was no statistical difference in the frequency distribution of arch forms between male and female groups.
