  • 최근 ATLAS사(社)의 VTS 시스템에 통항분석 프로그램이 도입되었다. 통항분석 프로그램을 소개하고 이를 통한 통항량 및 통항 패턴분석과 Ship Near Miss, 선속에 따른 패턴을 분석하였다. 프로그램을 사용하면서 사용자입장에서 느낀 장 단점을 정리하고 개선방향에 대하여 정리하였다.

A Study on the Analysis of Traffic Distribution and Traffic Pattern on Traffic Route using ND-K-S (ND-K-S를 적용한 항로 통항분포와 통항패턴 분석에 관한 연구)

  • A traffic route is an area associated with high risk for accidents due to the flow of heavy traffic. Despite this concern, most studies related to traffic focus solely on traffic distribution. Therefore, there is a need for studies investigating the characteristics of ships' routes and traffic patterns. In this study, an investigation was carried out to analyze the traffic distribution and pattern in 3 major traffic routes for 3 days. For the purpose of the study, based on the prevailing traffic conditions, the route was divided into 10 gate lines. The ships passing through the lines were also classified into either small, medium and large. ND-K-S (normal distribution, kurtosis, and skewness) test was carried out for the traffic distribution at each gate line based on the information analyzed on each traffic route. The analysis of the results obtained from the ND test showed that large vessels have normal distribution, medium sized vessels have satisfied normal distribution in one-way route only while small sized vessels do not have normal distribution. According to the result obtained from the K-S test, normal traffic pattern shows a significant difference between two-way route and one-way route. Results obtained from the K test result shows that in the case of one-way route, vessels have a traffic pattern using a wide range on traffic route. Further analysis shows that vessels concentrate on one side of route in case of two-way route. Results obtained from the S test show that, in case of one-way route, vessels have a normal traffic pattern according to center line. However, analysis pf the results shows that vessels are shifted to the right side of route in case of two-way route. Despite these findings, it should be noted that this study was carried out in only 3 ports, therefore there is need for investigation to be carried out in various routes and conditions in future studies.

  • 울산 VTS에서는 2010년 하반기 ATLAS사(社)의 VTS 시스템에 통항분석 프로그램을 도입하였다. 그동안 울산 VTS에서 이 통항분석 프로그램을 활용하여 사용하여 본 경험을 토대로 동 프로그램의 장 단점을 분석하고 실제 업무에 사용되었던 통항분석패턴을 소개하였다. 이와 함께 동 프로그램을 사용하면서 사용자 입장에서 느낀 개선방향에 대하여 정리하였다.

A Study on the Traffic Patterns of Dangerous Goods Carriers in Busan North and Gamcheon Port (부산 북항·감천항의 위험화물운반선 통항패턴에 관한 연구)

  • As a preliminary study of enter or leaving traffic patterns of the Korea main port, port Management Information System (Port-MIS) data was used to check the volume of vessels entering and leaving the port of Busan, and three consecutive days from each seasons were selected for study. Selected 12-day General Information Center on Maritime Safety & Security (GICOMS) data was also used to analyze the traffic pattern in the main traffic lane of Busan port for dangerous goods carrier. Also, the distance between dangerous goods carriers and Oryukdo breakwater of east breakwater in the main traffic lane was analyzed. Collision probability was estimated using the cumulative probability distribution function of the normal distribution for the maritime traffic safety audit scheme based on the assumption that a ship's trajectory has a normal distribution for a section of the route. However, in case of entry or leaving thorough the Oryukdo breakwater and entry thorough the east breakwater, ship's sailing trajectories were revealed not to follow a normal distribution via regularity testing using a KS-test and SW-test. Especially in the north port, the tendency of the right side of the ship to pass was remarkable. It is desirable to develop a traffic model suitable for the characteristics of the port rather than to apply general traffic theories, and to apply this model to a maritime traffic safety diagnosis, so further research is needed.

  • The analysis of maritime traffic refers to the processes that are used to analyze the environmental characteristics of the target area and, based on this analysis, predict the traffic pattern of the vessels. In recent years, maritime traffic analysis has become significant with increase maritime traffic volume and expansion of VTS coverage area. In addition, maritime traffic analysis is also applicable in the safety assessment of port facilities and the VTS (Vessel Traffic Service). In this paper, we propose a method to analyze the vessels' traffic pattern by using the heat map and the centroid method. This method is efficient for the analysis of the vessel trajectory data where spatial characteristics change with time. In the experiments, the traffic density and centroid by time have were analyzed. Trajectory data collected at Mokpo harbor was adopted. Finally, we reviewed the experimental results to verify the feasibility of the proposed method as a maritime traffic analysis method.

  • Efficient operation of ships can transport cargo to ports safer and faster, and reduce fuel costs. Therefore, in this study, the pattern was analyzed using AIS data of ships passing near Busan Port, a representative port in Korea. The analysis of vessel traffic patterns was approached with a grid-based node generation method, which can be used for research such as optimal route and route prediction.

Study on the Vessel Traffic Safety Assessment for Routeing Measures of Offshore Wind Farm (해상풍력발전단지의 대체통항로 통항안전성 평가에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we analysed vessel traffic volume and patterns of traffic flow for ships using areas where included wind farm site and adjacent waters of Daejeong Offshore Wind Farm, and estimated traffic volume by classified navigational routes according to suggestion of rational routeing measures on the basis of classified patterns after installation of offshore wind facilities. Also, we assessed vessel traffic safety for each designed routeing measures on the basis of estimated traffic volume and proposed requisite countermeasures for the safe navigation of ships. With a result of analysing patterns of traffic flow, the current traffic flow was classified by 8 patterns and the annual traffic volume was predicted to 8,975 ships. On the basis of these, expected the vessel traffic volume according to designed four routeing mesaures after installation of wind farm. As result of assessing vessel traffic safety by using powered-vessel collision model of SSPA on the basis of the estimated traffic volume, the value of collision probability was less than safe criteria $10^{-4}$. Thereby we made sure usability of the designed routeing measures for the safe navigation of ships.

해상교통관제제도가 적용된 연안해역에서 정보제공활동이 통항흐름에 미치는 영향

  • 본 연구에서는 해상교통관제제도(VTS)가 적용된 연안해역에서 해상통항흐름에 영향을 미치는 요소를 알아보고자 하였다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 해상교통환경조사는 2007년도부터 2012년까지 어장, 어로활동 및 해양구조물에 대한 마로해 인근해역에 대해 현지 조사방법을 사용하였다. VTS에서 제공하는 서비스종류에 대해 국제표준과 국내 적용 규정을 비교하고 2011년 연안해역에서 제공된 서비스에 대해 분석하였다. 동 해역의 해상교통흐름은 레이더와 선박자동식별장치 정보를 시공간적으로 중첩시켜 최근 6개월간 흐름패턴을 조사하였다. 연구 대상해역은 서남해 진도 인근해역($3,800km^2$)으로 통항분리제도와 탱커선통항금지해역 및 다도해해상국립공원을 포함하고 있다. 연구결과 연안해역에서 제공되는 서비스를 통해 해양사고를 18% 감소시켰다. 서비스 제공수준은 비정규분포를 보이며 공정능력은 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 안전한 해상교통환경 유지하기 위해 정기적인 연안해역 모니터링 및 관리체계의 확립에 대한 대응이 요구된다.

  • VTS(Vessel Traffic Center)는 관할해역의 해상교통데이터를 수집하여 해상교통관제를 수행하고 있다. 이러한 해상교통데이터는 가공되지 않는 정보이므로, 관제사 및 선박 등 사용자가 유용하게 활용할 수 있는 형태로의 분석이 필요하다. 이는 객관적인 데이터로 관제사 및 선박에서 해상교통 안전정책을 수립하는데 중요하다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 수년간 VTS에 축적되고 있는 BIG DATA를 활용하여 해상교통패턴을 분석하고자 한다. 분석하는 해상교통패턴은 통항분포, 선종별 항적 비교, 예부선의 강 조류 주의구역 판별, 항로상 어선 조업 현황분석 등을 통해 빅데이터를 활용한 관제구역설정, 집중관제구역 검토가 가능하다.
