Conceptual Design of KASS Uplink Station (한국형 위성항법보강시스템(KASS) 위성통신국 기본 설계)

  • The Satellite Based Augmentation System (SBAS) broadcasts to users integrity and correction information for Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) such as GPS and GLONASS using geostationary orbit (GEO) satellites. In accordance with the recommendation of the International Civilian Aeronautical Organization (ICAO) to introduce SBAS until 2025, a Korean SBAS system development / construction project is underway with the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs. Korea Augmentation Satellite System (KASS) is a high precision GPS correction system which is composed of KASS Reference Station (KRS), KASS Processing Station (KPS), KASS Uplink Station (KUS), KASS Control Station (KCS) and GEO satellites. In this paper, we provided the conceptual design of the KASS uplink station, which is composed of the Signal Generator Section (SGS) and the Radio-Frequency Section (RFS), and interface between the KASS ground sector and the GEO satellite.

Time Series Analysis on the Endogeneity between Quality of Internet Banking System and Business Performances of Banks (인터넷뱅킹시스템의 품질과 은행의 영업성과 간 내생성에 대한 시계열 분석)

  • This study investigates time series data on internet banking systems and business performances for 5 large-scale banks : Kookmin, Woori, Hana, City, Shinhan. These banks have the common features that they merged with other banks around 2000, hence they experienced massive IS integration between banks. This study adopted VAR and VECM for identifying Granger causality between the quality of internet banking systems and the performances of banks(operating revenue and cost). The main results are as follows. First, internet banking system impacts positively on the revenues as well as costs of banks. Second, the improvement of internet banking system is instigated by cost part more than revenue part. Hence, the results imply that banks tries to reduce operating costs via internet banking systems, however the systems rather increased the costs of banks, although the systems increased operating revenues of banks too.

  • An intelligent home network system using low-power and low-cost sensor nodes was designed and implemented. In Intelligent Home Network System, active home appliances control is composed of RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) based user indoor location tracking, dynamic multi-hop routing, and learning integration remote-control. Through the remote-control learning, home appliances can be controlled in wireless network environment. User location information for intelligent service is calculated using RSSI based Triangle measurement method, and then the received location information is passed to Smoothing Algorithm to reduce error rate. In order to service Intelligent Home Network, moreover, the sensor node is designed to be held by user. The gathered user data is transmitted through dynamic multi-hop routing to server, and real-time user location & environment information are displayed on monitoring program.

Implementation and Performance Analysis of the Single Channel Monopulse System (단일채널 모노펄스시스템의 구현 및 성능 검증)

  • In this paper, we have studied the tracking system with a single channel monopulse receiver that has a comparative advantage of costs, size, weight, and power consumption over the general 3-channel monopulse receivers. After the single channel monopulse system was composed of an antenna, a monopulse receiver, a servo unit, a RF signal processor unit and a power supply unit, we analyzed the basic tracking performance of the tracking error angle and the pointing loss. And we proved the tracking performance to a moving target in the outdoor environment. On the Analysis of the tracking test results, the single channel monopulse system shows a equal or higher performance over the general 3-channel monopulse system and also has advantages of the system implementation. Also, it is concluded that this study is useful to apply a single channel monopulse receiver with benefits of production price and miniaturization when the monopulse tracking systems will be developed in the future.

  • This paper defines an effectiveness index for optical continuous observation of unknown space objects and presents a range of design variables combinations that can satisfy the effectiveness index from a telescope/mount control system perspective using integrated simulation. The overall system-level simulation was implemented and the tracking performance was analyzed by considering design variables such as target position prediction and frame rate, image processing time and measurement error, target trajectory characteristics, and maneuver performance of mount gimbal. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that the continuous tracking performance of the optical observation system is dependent on the combination of frame rate and mount maneuver performance. In a situation where an optical observation system is designed or a similar system is implemented using COTS, an appropriate combination of parameters between design variables can be found through effectiveness analysis simulation as in this study.

  • 본 연구는 도심지에 위치한 LPG 충전소를 연구범위로 하여 공간정보의 활용이 가장 많이 요구되는 안전관리 분야의 업무를 중심으로 공간정보를 효율적으로 구축 활용하기 위하여 데이터베이스를 중심으로 위험관리정보 시스템을 개발하였다. 이를 바탕으로 정량적 위험성 평가의 자동화를 통해 나타난 위험성을 실시간에 제어하기 위한 필요조건을 표준화하여 기초 정보자료로 구축, 이를 지리정보기능과 연동하여 LPG 충전소의 안전검사의 효율화, 사전 위험성 평가, 사고대응 판단의 효과적인 의사결정을 유도 할 수 있는 기반을 제공한다. 위험관리정보시스템(RMIS, Risk Management Information System) 개발절차는 다음과 같다 첫째, 도심지에 위치한 LPG 충전소 위험성 평가를 수행함에 있어서 기본적인 데이터인 부지내(On-site) 관련 자료와 부지 외(Off-site) 관련 자료를 관계형 데이터베이스(RDB, Relational Database)로 개발하였다. 둘째, Visual Basic을 이용하여 사용자가 효과적으로 위험을 관리 제어 할 수 있는 위험관리 통합 데이터베이스 시스템 개발하였다. 셋째, 위험관리 통합 데이터베이스 시스템과 지리정보시스템에 연동을 통한 의사결정 방안 제시하였다. 위험관리정보시스템(RMIS) 프로그램을 개발을 통하여 다음과 같은 결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, 위험관리 데이터 이용하여 사용자와 검사자가 효과적으로 위험을 사전관리 할 수 있는 공유정보를 구축하였다. 둘째, 위험 관리를 부지 내와 부지 외로 나누어 관리함으로서 시설 내부 뿐 만 아니라 시설외부에 미치는 영향을 모두 고려하여 구축하므로 서, 중대사고에 대응 할 수 있는 종합적인 안전관리 기반을 조성하였다. 셋째, 사용자 인터페이스를 바탕으로 비상사태 발생시에 신속하고 정확한 의사결정을 할 수 있는 기반을 조성하였다. 제공하여 응용GIS 구축의 생산성 및 품질 향상에 기여할 뿐만 아니라 우리의 최종목표인 GIS 소프트웨어 자동 생산에도 크게 기여할 것으로 사료된다. 등)을 교통망상에 표시할 수 있음으로서 의사결정에 보다 많은 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다. 비트율의 증가와 화질 열화는 각각 최대 1.32%와 최대 0.11dB로 무시할 수 있을 정도로 작음을 확인 하였다.을 알 수 있었다. 현지관측에 비해 막대한 비용과 시간을 절약할 수 있는 위성영상해석방법을 이용한 방법은 해양수질파악이 가능할 것으로 판단되며, GIS를 이용하여 다양하고 복잡한 자료를 데이터베이스화함으로써 가시화하고, 이를 기초로 공간분석을 실시함으로써 환경요소별 공간분포에 대한 파악을 통해 수치모형실험을 이용한 각종 환경영향의 평가 및 예측을 위한 기초자료로 이용이 가능할 것으로 사료된다.염총량관리 기본계획 시 구축된 모형 매개변수를 바탕으로 분석을 수행하였다. 일차오차분석을 이용하여 수리매개변수와 수질매개변수의 수질항목별 상대적 기여도를 파악해 본 결과, 수리매개변수는 DO, BOD, 유기질소, 유기인 모든 항목에 일정 정도의 상대적 기여도를 가지고 있는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이로부터 수질 모형의 적용 시 수리 매개변수 또한 수질 매개변수의 추정 시와 같이 보다 세심한 주의를 기울여 추정할 필요가 있을 것으로 판단된다.변화와 기흉 발생과의 인과관계를 확인하고 좀 더 구체화하기 위한 연구가 필요할 것이다.게 이루어질 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.는 초과수익률이 상승하지만, 이후로는 감소하므로, 반전거래전략을 활용하는 경우 주식투자기간은 24개월이하의 중단기가 적합함을 발견하였다. 이상의 행태적 측면과 투자성과측면의 실증결과를 통하여 한국주식시장에 있어서 시장수익률을 평균적으로 초과할 수 있는 거래전략은 존재하므로 이러한 전략을 개발 및 활용할 수 있으며, 특히, 한국주

Vehicle Maintenance Support System using CAN Communication (CAN 통신을 이용한 자동차 유지관리 지원 시스템)

  • We propose the vehicle maintenance support system to alarm consumable replacement reminders to the vehicle owner. Since the delayed replacement of the consumables makes the condition of the vehicle worse, it is crucial to replace consumables in a recommended period. The vehicle maintenance support system alarms the replacement time, which is set by the vehicle owner, based on the mileage of the installed vehicle. It integrates speed information acquired from the Controller Area Network interface for communication between Electronic Control Unit and instrument panel, exposed at the On Board Diagnostics-II port, to calculate the vehicle mileage. By this, there is no additional wiring required for the system. We verify the system has only 0.28% error by comparing the mileage on the system with the instrument cluster on the vehicle. It automatically enters low-power mode consuming 15mW, which is a negligible amount for the typical conditions of the car, to prevent the vehicle battery from discharging when the ignition is off.

  • As the end of photolithographic integration era is approaching fast, numerous nanoscale devices and systems based on novel nanoscale materials and assembly techniques are recently emerging. Notably, various reconfigurable architectures with considerable promise have been proposed based on nanowire crossbar structure as the primitive building block. Unfortunately, high-density sys-tems consisting of nanometer-scale elements are likely to have numerous physical imperfections and variations. Therefore, defect-tolerance is considered as one of the most exigent challenges in nanowire crossbar systems. In this work, three different defect-avoidant logic mapping algorithms to circumvent defective crosspoints in nanowire reconfigurable crossbar systems are evaluated in terms of various performance metrics. Then, a novel method to find the most cost-effective repair solution is demonstrated by considering all major repair parameters and quantitatively estimating the performance and cost-effectiveness of each algorithm. Extensive parametric simulation results are reported to compare overall repair costs of the repair algorithms under consideration and to validate the cost-driven repair optimization technique.

  • Nowadays, many countries are interested in using CPS far navigation system of aircrafts, because it has technical and economic benefits. For the CPS based navigation system, the most important thing is reliability of the system. GPS navigation solution is very accurate. But when some faults are raised in the CPS navigation system of an aircraft, if they cannot be detected and alerts are not generated for pilots, the aircraft cannot be safe. So, I implemented an DGPS integrity monitoring system that detects faults of measurements and exclude the fault measurement from the satellite constellation used for calculating a navigation solution. This paper introduces 'the Least Square Residual Method' used to detect faults of measurements and the implemented real time integrity monitoring system using DGPS. To test the system, I operated the system under many different conditions. And from analysis of the data recorded, I could conclude that when the number of visible satellites was enough to detect faults, the system could detect the faults of measurements perfectly, isolate and exclude the fault measurement well. But for more reliable system, the measurement errors must be estimated more accurately and integrations of CPS and other instruments must be developed.

  • Concrete surface grinding is frequently used for flatness of concrete surface, concrete pavement rehabilitation, and adhesiveness in pavement construction. The procedure is, however, labor intensive and has a hazardous work condition. Also, the productivity and the quality of concrete surface grinding highly depend on the skills of worker. Thus, the development of remote controlled concrete surface grinding equipment is necessary to prevent the environmental pollution and to protect the workers from hazardous work condition. However, it is difficult to evaluate the grinded surface objectively in a remote controlled system. Also, The machine vision system developed in this study takes the images of grinded surface with the network camera for image processing. Then, by representing the quality test results to the integrated program of the remote control station, the quality control system is constructed. The machine vision algorithm means the image processing algorithm of grinded concrete surface and this paper presents the objective quality control standard of grinded concrete surface through the application of the suggested algorithm.
