연근해 어선 통합항법시스템의 구축 (Organization of integrated navigation system for coastal and offshore fishing boat)

  • The integrated navigation system(INS) for fishing boat which organized the marine radar, global positioning system(GPS) compass, automatic identification system(AIS), echo sounder, GPS and electronic nautical chart(ENC) was manufactured to reduce the marine accidents of fishing boats occurred frequently at coastal and offshore. The application possibility of INS for fishing boat was examined for basic experiments in the sea. Integration display of various information, such as other vessel's behavior, depth, own vessel's position etc. was done to help the operate user who understood the circumstance around own boat. Therefore, the system will be utilized as a useful equipment for safety voyage and fishing work on the fishing ground.

  • The 3D visualization of seafloor topography(ST) was realized to discuss the effective use by the 3D visualization of ST on the integrated navigation system(INS) for fishing boat. The software was to actually display the 3D visualization of ST using triangular irregular network, helical hyperspatial codes and stereo projection. The INS for fishing boat which applied the 3D visualization of ST will be utilized for safety voyage and the effective fishing work on the fishing ground.

  • A software platform which is able to evaluate the performances of a GPS/INS integrated system has been developed in this paper. And it consists of four parts including GUI(Graphic User Interface) part, GPS part, INS part and integrated filter part. It basically offers the loosely, tightly and deeply coupled GPS/INS algorithms, and many design parameters can be changed by users via GUI. Each functions of the platform has been confirmed with GPS signals and IMU data from commercial simulators.

  • This paper compares two methods of GPS/INS integration ; tightly-coupled integration ana loosely-coupled integration. In the tightly -coupled method an integrated Kalman filter is designed to process raw GPS measurement data for state update and INS data for propagation. The loosely-coupled integration method uses the solution outputs from a stand-alone GPS receiver for update. The loosely-coupled method is simpler and can readily be applied to off-the-self receivers and sensors while the tightly-coupled integration requires access to raw measurement mechanism of the receiver. Simulation result show that the tightly-coupled integration system exhibits better performance and robustness than loosely-coupled integration method.

  • Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receivers are becoming increasingly sophisticated, equipped with advanced features and precise specifications, thus demanding efficient and high-performance hardware platforms. This paper presents the design and implementation of a Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA)-based GNSS receiver development platform for multi-band signal processing. This platform utilizes a FPGA to provide a flexible and re-configurable hardware environment, enabling real-time signal processing, position determination, and handling of large-scale data. Integrated signal processing of L/S bands enhances the performance and functionality of GNSS receivers. Key components such as the RF frontend, signal processing modules, and power management are designed to ensure optimal signal reception and processing, supporting multiple GNSS. The developed hardware platform enables real-time signal processing and position determination, supporting multiple GNSS systems, thereby contributing to the advancement of GNSS development and research.

  • An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is an aircraft controlled by .emote commands from ground station and/o. pre-programmed onboard autopilot system. A navigation system in the UAV provides a navigation data for a flight control computer(FCC). The FCC requires accurate and reliable position, velocity and attitude information for guidance and control. This paper proposes an ADGPS/INS integrated navigation system for a UAV. The proposed navigation system comprises an attitude determination GPS (ADGPS) receive., a navigation computer unit, and a low-cost commercial MEMS inertial measurement unit(IMU). The navigation algorithm contains a fault detection and isolation (FDI) function fur integrity. In order to evaluate the performance of the proposed navigation system, two flight tests were preformed using a small aircraft. The first flight test was carried out to confirm fundamental operation of the proposed navigation system and to check the effectiveness of the FDI algorithm. In the second flight test, the navigation performance and the benefit of the GPS attitude information were checked in a high dynamic environment. The flight test results show that the proposed ADGPS/INS integrated navigation system gives a reliable performance even when anomalous GPS data is provided and better navigation performance than a conventional GPS/INS integration unit.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 벡터 도메인 안에 대규모 도로 선형 사상을 대상으로 실시간 데이터 변경, 관리가 가능한 네트워크의 다중 표현 데이터베이스 모델을 구축하는 것이다. 즉, 최상위 레벨의 네트워크 데이터로부터 이에 대응하는 하위 베이스 네트워크 데이터로 순차적으로 데이터 통합과 자동 매칭을 수행하는 상의하달 방식(top-down)을 기초로 하는 프레임워크를 제시하며, 이를 통해 변화 가능한 축척(variable-scale)의 지도를 생성하는 모델을 제안하였다. 구현된 MRDB(Multi-Resolution Database) 모델을 차량 항법 서비스에 적용하여 실제 동적 경로 안내 시스템에 활용 가능함을 확인할 수 있었다.

GPS-IMU 통합 시스템을 이용한 도로기하구조 측정에 관한 연구 (The Measurement of Road Alignment Using GPS-IMU System)

  • 도로기하구조정보는 도로의 유지관리와 안전성 평가 등에 중요한 요소로써, 정보를 취득하려는 구간에 대한 정확한 기하구조정보를 취득하는 작업은 중요하다. 그러나, 도면이 부재하거나 선형의 결함이 발생하는 구간에서는 정확한 자료를 수집하는데 한계가 존재한다. 따라서, 이러한 구간에 도면정보를 신속하게 취득하기 위해 본 연구에서는 GPS-IMU 통합시스템이 장착된 차량에서 취득된 자료를 이용하여 도로기하구조를 측정하였다. 연구결과, 정확도의 기준이 되는 도면 값과 평면선형은 3.38%의 오차율이 나타났으며, 종단선형은 0.083의 절대값 오차가 나타났다. 따라서, 본 연구에서 도출된 결과는 도로안전점검 및 진단과 같은 도로관리업무에 활용될 목적으로 적용이 가능한 것으로 판단된다.

  • 최근 무인항공기 드론의 활용범위와 수요가 지속적으로 증가함에 따라 무인항공기와 유인항공기 간 공역을 통합하여 운용하는 연구가 전 세계적으로 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 공역 통합을 위해서는 유인항공기에 준한 기술기준 및 인증 제도 수립이 필수적이며, 이에 따른 시험평가 방안이 제시되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 향후 무인항공기 항법 시스템에 대한 기술기준이 수립되었을 경우, 기술기준 적합성 검증을 위한 시험방법을 제시하였다. 연구를 위해 무인항공기 임무 프로파일 및 운용환경 분석, 시험항목 도출, 시험방법 수립, 시뮬레이션 및 무인항공기를 통한 실증을 수행하였다. 시험방법으로 정적시험, 트랙이동시험, 경로비행시험이 도출되었으며, 각 시험수행 결과 시험대상 무인항공기의 항법시스템 오차는 전체 비행단계에서 95% 신뢰수준에서 약 1.4m의 위치정확도를 보임을 확인하였다.

GPS/의사위성의 통합 항법에 대한 응용 연구 (A Study on the Applications of GPS/Pseudolite Navigation System)

  • In recent days, navigation technology becomes more important as location based service (LBS) such as E911 and telematics are considered as attractive business fields. Commercial LBS requires that navigation system should be inexpensive and available anytime and anywhere - indoors and outdoors. If we consider these requirements, it is out of question that GPS is the most favorite system in the world. However, GPS has a serious problem. The one is that GPS does not operate indoors well. This is because GPS satellites are about 20,000km above the ground so that indoor signals are too weak to be tracked in GPS receiver. And the other is that vertical accuracy is less than horizontal accuracy, because of GPS satellites' geometry. To solve these problems, many researches have been done around the world since 1990s. This paper is also one of them and we will introduce an excellent solution by use of pseudolite. Pseudolite is a kind of signal generator, which transmits GPS-like signal. So it is same as GPS satellite in ground. In this paper, we will propose the integrated navigation system of GPS and pseudolite and show the flight test results using RC airplane to proof our navigation system. As a result, we could improve the vertical accuracy of airplane into the horizontal accuracy.
