Development of Integrated Analysis Model for Eyegaze Analysis - With Emphasis on the Generation of Heuristic Guidelines for User Interface Design - (시선추적 분석을 위한 통합 해석 모델의 개발 - 사용자 인터페이스 디자인을 위한 휴리스틱 가이드라인의 도출을 중심으로 -)

  • This paper's objective is the analysis of eye-movement recording with visual perception process, the inference of heuristic guidelines with human information processing, and the generation of design principles for practical works. For this objective, it was experimented on that the user's eye-movement recording of interactive media with the Eyegaze Interface System, and analyzed the visual perception process of top-down & bottom-up processing, and inferred the design principles from human information process. Our results provide the implications of design through the analysis of the user's eye-movement recording that were changed according to each menu depth of the interactive media. And, it is proposed that the new concept of heuristic guidelines based on each stage of action that is related to human factors.

  • The world has rushed into knowledge information society. Information technology is one of the causes to show up knowledge management and one of the motives to accelerate knowledge management. And, these days information technology and internet have made staffing progress. Therefore, the objective of this study is to take out latent knowledge of customers through web data mining in a vast amount of data on the internet in rapidly developing digital environments, to develop the knowledge-based design paradigm applied to knowledge management framework, and finally to develop design which satisfies customers' needs. To reach the objective, knowledge management process and varied previous studies related to web data mining are reviewed on a theoretical basis, and then a new knowledge-based design paradigm (in this study, eCRM in a true sense which combines web data mining with knowledge management process is called knowledge-based design paradigm) combining knowledge management process with web data mining is suggested.

  • 다양한 정보기기들이 출현함에 따라 UI가 제품성공의 중요한 요인으로 부각되고 있다. 이러한 중요성을 인식하고 Microsoft, Nokia, HP, Motorola 등 해외 선진기업들은 UI 연구에 주력해 오고 있다. 국내 기업들도 2000년대부터 본격적으로 기업 내 UI팀을 구성하기 시작하여 점점 그 규모와 역할을 확대해 나가고 있지만, 개발시간의 촉박함, 체계적인 방법론에 대한 인식 부족, 전문인력부족 등으로 인해 UI업무가 효율적으로 진행되지 못하고 있다. 선진기업과 경쟁하기 위해서는 사용자 경험 측면에 대한 투자가 시급하며, 국내 UI전문가의 역할이 크게 요구되고 있는 시점이다. 따라서 기업 내 UI업무의 현주소를 파악하고 통합적인 고객체험 디자인을 목표로 하는 UI팀의 발전방향을 모색하고, 비전을 제시하는 것을 연구의 목적으로 삼는다. 본 연구의 방법으로는 문헌조사와 선행연구를 통해 UI, UX의 개념과 UI관련 조직의 구성과 역할을 살펴보고, 국내 모바일 및 전자제품 제조사, 유무선 인터넷을 기반으로 하는 컨텐츠 서비스 업체의 UI실무자를 대상으로 한 인터뷰와 설문조사를 통해 현재 기업 내 UI팀의 현황(조직구성, 업무의 범위 및 프로세스, 조직 내에서의 위상 등)을 분석하였다. 그 결과 다음과 같은 문제점들이 도출되었다. 첫째 조직구조상의 문제점, 둘째 업무 프로세스상의 문제점, 셋째 전문인력의 부족 등이다. 본 연구를 통해 기업 내 UI팀의 역할과 위상이 그 중요도에 비해 미약한 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 향후 통합적인 UX디자인을 접목한 미래 지향적 UI팀으로써 전체 프로세스 과정에 비전을 제시하기 위해서는 다양한 분야의 전문가들로 구성된 독립적 UI팀 구성이 이루어져야 한다. 또한 기획, 디자인, 개발 등 타 부서와의 보다 적극적인 업무교류를 통해 사용자의 입장을 대변하는 역할을 해야 한다.

Digital Home Network Product Design Process & the Design Proposition (디지털 홈 네트워크 제품디자인 프로세스와 디자인 제안)

  • The current global spread of communal residential culture and the trend of continuing increase of newly built apartment environment are increasing the demand of home network products for each residential space and among households. The continuing advancement of ubiquitous and the introduction and development of home network system are promoting the demand for the product design. The residential culture change and the apartment interior design change are having mutual effects on the lifestyle of residents and the product design and demand new product design. Coordination with interior products, interior style and products, product and fashion design and reconstruction and fusion between the products and their element factors are the core element of this design study. Based on this, integrated design strategy and concept research and analysis were studied for the design process, and have been expressed in three dimension design through which the design functionality and the external aesthetical design can correspond to each other. It's because the aspect of the future development prospect can be predicted in detail by presenting practical design plan.

  • Modern corporations are changing their strategies from 4P-based marketing strategies which have been used for logic-based consumers in the past to perception-based marketing strategies which will be performed for current emotion-based consumers. Therefore, the importance of emotional marketing, which means the integrated strategies approaching consumers by combining logic-based marketing strategies and emotion-based design strategies, has been increased. However, existing researches have not tried to suggest the essence and research scope of design marketing and verify the applicability of each research sectors but only tried to apply some marketing tools in design process. Regarding this, this study suggests that the essence of design marketing has to be defined first then various and systematic academic reviews have been performed on each research sectors of it before design marketing tools are applied in design practices. In addition, this study suggests 3 research categories of design marketing based on traditional marketing. They are first, understanding consumer's decision making precess for design and next, introducing and applying various research tools ant last, applying various strategic tools for strategy-making based on situation understanding. Finally, this study suggests future research directions on 3 research categories mentioned above.

  • As AEC(architecture, engineering and construction) industry becomes larger and more complex, much information is going into each part and phase. Therefore, the existing building design process has to change and collaboration is emphasized among participants in various fields. The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze existing building design process and integrated building design process based on BIM using a IDEF0 methodology. And then, it establishes a desirable domestic integrated building design process application plan focusing on the design phase of domestic cases. As a result of analysis, flowing conclusions are included ; Firstly, problems occur on the existing building design process that are accomplished with focusing on the outcome. It makes much errors because of 2D-based information. Another problems is that collaboration doesn't go on smoothly. But, integrated building design process is accomplished with the collaboration and the coordination which pursues change and perfects cooperation. Secondly, BIM is a process of effecting optimum integrating, re-using information, and expense reduction throughout the life-cycle of a building. Moreover, it establishes a basis for the integrated building design process to build a collaboration system.

  • 문구ㆍ팬시 업종의 생산품은 아동용품과 문구류가 대부분을 차지한다. 이러한 제품의 특성으로 인해 아동들에게 새로운 제품을 시장에 신속하게 소개하는 제품개발력이 경쟁우위의 요소가 된다. 이러한 경쟁우위 전략을 위해서는 창의적인 개념을 가지고 디자인 할 수 있는 능력과 이러한 개별적인 능력을 바탕으로 통합적인 신제품개발 전략과 시스템을 구현하는 것이 우선 과제가 될 것이다. 지금까지는 신제품개발을 단순하게 프로젝트 차원에서 각기 관리하는 방식에서 탈피하여 총체적인 신제품개발 프로세스를 분석하고 그 시스템을 구축해야 한다. 이 논문에서는 신속하고 창의적인 제품개발을 할 수 있도록 통합적 신제품개발 시스템을 구현하고자 한다.

  • Digital media has evolved in different areas as a result of the development of media and communications technology. The development of such media has also affected design in general as well as the design process systems focused on computer systems. Specifically, study of digital media design is based on a variety media and the development of computers due to social and environmental changes. Additionally, study is required on the convergence of variety of research including business, computer science, and human ergonomics. Nevertheless, most curricula in domestic universities are biased towards training practical manpower rather than creative/analytical manpower. For this reason, interchange between and study in multidisciplinary courses is desirable. Therefore, this study analyzes the curricula of departments of multimedia design of major universities and suggests enhanced curricula based on an analysis of the current state and understanding of the problem.

  • Today, as construction industry grows rapidly, technology has advanced throughout the whole industrial world. Architectural design phase has gone digital from the traditional method of drawing which was an important means in the past, and Building Information Modeling(BIM), an emerging new paradigm, changed architectural design process. So this paper studies the difference between a 2D-based and a BIM-based design process which are currently applied to domestic, and proposes a BIM-based integrated design process in order to help establish BIM to domestic efficiently.

  • The necessity of imformation on product design process is increased in recently years, because a product can be called a mass of information and becomes more complex as long as technology is developed. But the present product development method is like a relay race. In this sequential process, information is transferred from one department to other departments like \"over the wall\". And communication gaps among departments are generated, so imformation cannot be controlled very well. Therefore it is needed to innovate the design process. The information system proposedin this study is an application software which can be useful for integrated product design process. It has been developed primarily for use in IBN PC and windows environment. It comprises four functional modules; functions of handing the overall project information (document, ideaskech, rendering, drawing); functions of decision making production problems in design project process; functions of groupware which can link with other departments; functions of comprehensive database with production.roduction.
