인터넷 쇼핑몰 허브 사이트는 분산 이기종 시스템들로 구성되는 다수의 독립된 인터넷 상점들을 연합하여 공동 포인트 적립, 공동 상품 검색 등의 통합된 서비스를 제공하는 가상 공동체이다. 본 논문에서는 인터넷 쇼핑몰 허브 사이트에서 다수의 이기종 데이터베이스에 대한 검색 질의를 생성하고, 검색 결과를 통합하여 고객에게 제공하는데 필요한 베타데이터를 효율적으로 관리하기 위해 XML을 이용하는 분산 이기종 통합 정보 검색 시스템을 제안한다.

지방자치단체(이하 지자체)는 경제, 사회, 문화 등 다양한 분야의 지표 및 데이터를 관리하고 있다. 지자체의 데이터를 수집하여 분석하고자 하는 사회과학 분야 연구자들은 이렇게 지자체별로 흩어져 있는 관련 데이터를 수집하는데 많은 시간과 노력을 투여하고 있다. 만약 지자체의 경제, 사회, 문화 등 관련 지표를 통합적으로 제공하는 데이터베이스가 구축되고, 이를 다양한 기법으로 검색할 수 있는 시스템에 구축된다면, 사회과학분야 연구자들에게 많은 도움이 될 것이다. 본 연구는 지난 5년 동안 구축한 지자체 통합데이터베이스(이하 통합DB)에 대하여 소개하고, 통합DB를 활용하여 구축한 경제, 사회, 문화 지표 통합 검색 시스템에 대하여 소개하고자 한다.

The aim of this study is to reveal a necessity of and a strategy for the integrated use and the single search across the visual arts resources. For this purpose, at first, analysis was made on the current situation of Korean visual art resource management and retrieval systems. Secondly, the single search methods and its related technological foundation in foreign art resource institutions were categorized and analysed. As a result, this study suggested foundation for creating a sustainable environment for collaboration and single search that enhance access to and use of art resources.

오늘날 과학기술 정보는 아주 다양한 곳에서 다양한 방식으로 생산 유통된다. 그러므로 원하는 정보의 위치나 각 정보 소스의 사용법을 모르는 사용자들은 일일이 정보 소스를 찾아 들어가 검색을 수행하여야 하는 번거로움이 있다. 본 논문에서는 사용자들에게 여러 곳에 위치한 과학기술 정보들을 한번에 검색하여 제공할 수 있는 과학기술 종합정보 시스템을 구현한다. 이를 위하여 KISTI와 (주)엔퀘스트에서 공동 개발한 분산통합검색 프로토콜을 사용한다. 사용된 분산통합 검색 프로토콜은 XML 기반으로 정의되어 있으며, 원천서버의 위치와 질의 형식 등에 관한 메타데이터를 유지하고 있어 분산된 서버들을 쉽게 통합검색에 참여 시킬 수 있다.

최근 바이오인포매틱스 분야에서는 유전자 주석정보 데이터들의 통합 방안에 대한 논의가 활발하게 진행 중에 있다. 본 논문에서는 BioDAS의 웹 서비스 개념을 이용, 분산된 주석 데이터서버들간의 통합검색 시스템을 구축함으로써 메타검색 시스템을 구현하였다. 본 시스템은 사용자에게 메타검색 기능 및 결과 저장기능을 제공해 주며 외부 사용자에게 웹 서비스를 제공한다.

최근 멀티미디어 산업이 정보 사회의 핵심 산업으로 부상하면서 멀티미디어 데이터에 대한 사용자의 요구가 급증하고 있다. 이에 따라 다양한 멀티미디어 자료를 효율적으로 관리할 수 있는 멀티미디어 데이터베이스 시스템에 대한 연구가 국내외적으로 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 이를 위해서는 멀티미디어 응용서비스에서 필요로 하는 자료의 특성에 맞는 저장, 관리, 검색 기능을 효율적인 측면으로 통합하여 지원할 수 있는 데이터베이스 시스템 프레임워크가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 멀티미디어 정보에 요구되는 다양한 검색 방법을 기존의 데이터베이스 검색과 통합하여 제공할 수 있는 통합 검색 프레임워크의 설계 및 구현에 대하여 서술한다. 본 프레임워크에서는 OODBMS을 기반으로 텍스트에 대한 검색은 시스템내 완전 밀결합시키고, 기타 미디어 및 멀티미디어 응용 클래스에 대한 검색은 서버에 통합되어 동작하고 메소드 지원에 따른 오버 헤드를 최소화한다.

We design the evaluation factors to represent the relevance distribution information between a query and sources and proposes the scheme to get relevance distribution information based on evaluation factors. Then it is developed that the organization is able to classify the best source toward query, and shown the algorithms that is able to select the best source toward users query, it is developed algorithms that is decided ranking and mering these, after choose the best source to evaluate a query, Finally, it merges the result from the source, and present them to the user to the issued query. This paper also develops the scheme to classify the best sources for query and presents the selection algorithm of the best information sources. Finally the ranking and merging Federated Retrieval System is presented.

This study aims to design and implement an integrated information retrieval system for the archives in Korea. Particularly, this study is focused on the improvement of the usability of the system. To achieve the goal, this study analyzed the current retrieval systems of national archives and presidential archives in Korea. A new integrated retrieval system, called KAIRS, is designed based on the EAD elements, which is implemented through emulation technic between two retrieval systems. KAIRS showed higher of user satisfaction compared to the existing two retrieval systems in their usability test.

Mashup service provides results by query in real time and responds to users' request in dynamic. In terms of size, each of NIKH(National Institute of Korean History)'s internal Information Systems is equal to individual library system. As adapting mashup for information convergence with external resources, it was accepted for internal integrated search in the same context. This study designated NIKH OpenAPI and proposed metadata format for internal integrated search of historical contents.

HMS(Hallym Mediator System)는 XML을 기본 데이터 모델로 하여 인터넷에 산재하여 있는 분산 이질 정보에 대한 통합, 검색 기능을 제공하는 미디에이터 시스템이다. 분산이질 정보의 공통 스키마 구조로서 XML DTD를 사용하며, 각종 정보에 대한 가상의 통합 뷰(view) 생성 기능을 제공하여 웹 상의 통합된 가상 정보 구조를 표현한다. 실용성 및 성능평가를 위하여, HMS를 기반으로 하는 병원정보 통합/검색 시스템을 구현하였다. 병원정보 통합/검색 시스템은 가상접근 기법(virtual approach)기반의 정보검색 시스템으로서, 일반 사용자는 웹 상의 각종 병원 정보를 정보의 위치에 상관없이 비쥬얼 사용자 인터떼이스틀 통하여 제공 받게된다
