Implementation of IEEE 802.15.4 Protocol Stack on the Texas Instrument CC2530 (텍사스 인스트루먼트의 CC2530 상에 IEEE 802.15.4 프로토콜 스택 구현)

  • Wireless sensor networks consist of resource constraint devices which typically send data measured by sensors attached to the end devices towards a coordinator. The most often used medium access control protocol used in wireless sensor networks is the standard IEEE 802.15.4, where it is wireless standard introduced for low power, low cost wireless communication with moderate data rates. In this paper, we present implementation of both the IEEE 802.15.4 protocol stack and UART interface on the TI CC2530. We show that data via UART of our implemented IEEE 802.15.4 board are transmitted correctly in terms of captured frames.

  • 이동 로봇의 자기 위치 인식 방법으로 GPS를 많이 이용하지만 건물 내부공간에서는 위성신호 수신 장애가 있기 때문에 GPS 사용이 어렵다. 이에 대한 대안으로 다양한 형태의 실내 측위 기술에 관한 연구가 진행되어왔다. 최근에는 WiFi를 이용한 방법이 일부 상용화 되고 있으나 정밀도가 3~5m라는 한계가 있으며, LED 조명을 이용한 방법은 실용화 단계에 이르지는 못했지만 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 당 연구실에서도 LED조명을 기반으로 한 실내위치 인식 시스템을 개발하였으며, 지난 연구에서는 이를 이용한 이동로봇의 자율주행을 연구하였다. 본 연구에서는 지난 연구에 덧붙여 두개의 수신부를 이용하여 로봇의 방향인식오류 개선 및 이동 로봇의 자율주행을 보여주고자 한다. 제시된 시스템은 이동로봇, 조명제어장치 그리고 컴퓨터로 구성된다. 이동로봇은 상용화된 마이크로 마우스에 탑재된 조명신호 수신장치를 통하여 자신의 위치와 방향을 감지하며, 컴퓨터와의 Wi-Fi 통신으로 자신의 위치를 컴퓨터에 전송하거나 위치 명령을 수신한다. 컴퓨터에서는 수신 받은 이동로봇의 위치를 실시간으로 화면에 표시하며, 이동로봇에 전달할 위치명령을 사용자가 입력하는 기능을 제공한다. 사용자가 이동경로를 설정한 후 이동로봇으로 명령을 보내면 로봇은 자신의 위치와 목적지를 비교하며 자율주행을 하게 된다. 실험을 통하여 확인한 결과 지난연구의 방향인식의 문제점이 해결되어 제시된 시스템으로 실내공간에서도 이동로봇의 자율주행이 원만히 이루어짐을 확인하였다.

  • 홈 엔터테인먼트 서비스는 홈 네트워크 서비스의 하나로서 홈 네트워크를 통해 제공되는 TV, 영화, 게임과 같은 다양한 디지털 콘텐츠를 TV라는 매체를 통해 PC와 같은 TV와는 다른 디바이스에 존재하는 다양한 콘텐츠를 손쉽게 즐길 수 있는 콘텐츠 서비스의 형태라고 할 수 있다. 이러한 다양한 기기에 존재하는 콘텐츠를 손쉽게 이용할 수 있는 허브 장치로서 STB(Set-top Box)가 대두되고 있다. STB가 허브 장치로서의 기능을 하기 위해서는 서로 다른 기기들과의 연계시 발생하는 여러 문제점들(예 : 조작의 불편)을 해결하고 이를 통합 조정할 수 있는 어플리케이션이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 STB와 멀티미디어 기기 중의 하나인 HTPC(Home Theater PC)를 예를 들어 두 기기간의 연동 환경에서 STB 리모컨을 통해 HTPC를 제어할 수 있는 어플리케이션에 대해 연구한다. 이를 위해 이종 단말기 간의 연동을 위해 RMI(Remote Method Invocation)의 클라이언트/서버 통신 메커니즘을 응용하였다. 이를 통해 HTPC 뿐만이 아닌 다양한 디바이스를 STB에 연결하여 활용할 수 있는 좋은 예가 될 수 있을 것이다.

  • In this study, active and recently in the field of vocational rehabilitation of persons with disabilities in the industry engaged in the primary mission of assisting you want to promote activation of devices that can perform the work of the harvest cart or unattended devices such as tool boxes and tracking system developed. This system is manually moved from a remote user is able to control, and also, the ability to track users unattended mounted. The system developed in this study in the field of vocational rehabilitation in order to allow all sides to assess more than three meters in open space system for the Y-and W-course driving range of the error from the final destination 5 times the period analyzed. Analysis of the user's tracking system developed without any problem and that could know.

  • Extremely fine particles seriously affect people and are becoming a social problem. Conventional methods using the type of beta ray absorption are difficult to have real-time measurements and miniaturization for the acquisition of fine dust. In this paper, a light scattering method was used. The sensors were configured internally with semiconductor laser diodes for miniaturization, low cost and lightweight. The use of the FFT method makes it easier to separate fine dust according to size compared to conventional light scattering sensors. Bluetooth communication also allows the connection, monitoring and control of devices using smart phones.

  • This paper is for the on-line monitoring and controlling system in which remote central processor execute commands based on data transmitted via radio or cable captured from the industrial or marine environments. By executing the appropriate system commands, many mechanical parts in industrial environments and natural factors such as temperature and humidity are to be under control in the way of normal system condition. In this research, we control the temperature of a hydrochloric acid tank to be within the predetermined range by executing temperature controlling commands issued by remote central computer which decides the appropriate action for the total system based on the received sensor data transmitted via radio and cable media. This type of monitoring and controlling system has the various applications such as the disaster prevention system, ubiquitous embedded system, alarm system, and the USN systems.

  • The Test Equipment for the upper stage of KSLV-I has following functions via umbilical cable interface; external power supply, command output such as discrete and analog, data acquisition, CS-I interface simulation for first stage of KSLV-I and RS-422 serial communication for PDU. The main purpose of UTE is the experiment or function verification of system-level upper stage. To realize this system, we used PXI control system. The UTE is consisted of the PXI control system, power supply, terminal block, internal harness, connector panel and so on. The software functions of UTE are classified by four blocks. These are Discrete/Analog I/O control, PDU RS-422 serial communication control, power supply GPIB control and UTE remote control. In this paper, we will describe the design on the hardware and software of UTE.

  • Simulator is used to verifying the function and performance of train control system before verifying with actual train. In this case, it is important that the simulation result should be coincide with the result with actual train. In this paper, the process of the development of automatic train operation (ATO) is described. ATO is in charge of automatic train control such as speed regulation and precision stop control. Identical interfaces from the ATO to the actual train was made in the simulator. Therefore ATO communicates to the simulator in the same way to the actual train. Futhermore, the train dynamic properties was measured by experiments and these were applied to the train model. Hence the response of the train in the simulator to the acceleration command is similar to that of the actual train. The simulation result of precision stop control is compared with the result in the actual train test to show the fidelity of the train model derived in the study and the superiority of this simulator.

  • In this paper, we propose an open protocol to be employed between a smart meter concentrator and a metering data collection server, and also evaluate its performance. Legacy concentrators performs the connection establishment and data gathering operations with DLMS/COSEM protocol standards. However, we note that there are no standardized protocols between the concentrator and the collection server, which inevitably conduces each commercial smart metering system to have its own proprietary protocol. In order to solve this problem, we propose an open protocol - Smart Meter Concentrator Control Protocol(SMCCP) by extending the existing standard protocol(DLMS/COSEM). The SMCCP can provide the proxy mode to enable efficient transmission between the concentrator and the data collection server. It also can support the relay mode to enable a direct communication between the data collection server and each far end smart meter. We also implement an emulator system and a protocol analyzer to provide its operation. In addition, we evaluate the session holding time and the link usage ratio in both relay and proxy modes with OMNET++ simulator.

  • To produce an input device stably using the transparent electromagnetic pattern of an electromagnetic induction method, pattern inspection is required in advance in the production process. Various methods of inspecting the capacitive pattern for hand-touch have been proposed, but it is difficult to find the related technical data for the pattern inspection method of the transparent electromagnetic induction method. In this study, to develop an inspection system for a fused electromagnetic resonance pen sensor with a copper-etched metal mesh pattern, an inspection algorithm and method for measuring the antenna impedance inside the sensor was proposed by measuring only the exposed FPCB connector. The proposed method was configured as a control board consisting of a microprocessor that forms a loop between specific channels according to the command of a computer, a computer-controlled by the Windows program, an LCR meter measuring the impedance between specific channels, and transmitting the measurement results back to the computer. An evaluation of the proposed system and measurements of nine specimens showed that it could detect the defects of the sensor used in the actual product.
