  • Due to the important role played by emotion in human interaction, affective computing is dedicated in trying to understand and regulate emotion through human-aware artificial intelligence. By understanding, emotion mental diseases such as depression, autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and game addiction will be better managed as they are all associated with emotion. Various studies for emotion recognition have been conducted to solve these problems. In applying machine learning for the emotion recognition, the efforts to reduce the complexity of the algorithm and improve the accuracy are required. In this paper, we investigate emotion Electroencephalogram (EEG) feature reduction and classification using Stack AutoEncoder (SAE) and Long-Short-Term-Memory/Recurrent Neural Networks (LSTM/RNN) classification respectively. The proposed method reduced the complexity of the model and significantly enhance the performance of the classifiers.

  • Measuring a biosignal during sleep is an important part of diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorder and also used to determine the general quality of sleep. As in current polysomnography, Contact method, which requires the attachment of electrodes to the skin, is the typical method to measure a biosignal during sleep. The procedure of this test is often considered to be inconvenient and tiresome because it requires attaching the device to the skin for each observation, and also limits free movement throughout the test. For this reason, the research on the acquiring the biosignal information without any attachment of a fixture on the skin is being conducted actively these days. In this study, it is suggested to check the heart rate per minute and the presence of breathing by placing a Piezo, which is a film type of pressure sensor, on the bed.

  • Network management represents those activities which control and moitor the use of resources. Remote delegation model supports flexible and effective distribution of management functions among managers and agents, and it may cause an reliable network management in a relatively complex and high-speed networks. in this model, managers delegate to agents execution of management programs as prescribed in a management scripting language. In addition, primitives included in the management programs enable agents to monitor and control localmanaged objects effectively. We suggest management algorithms in which management scripts are delegated from managers to agents and partiality implement OSI fault management. This mans gement algorithm can effectively support delegation and control concurrent accesses to management information. Moreover, it can be easily translated into object-based concurrent programming language: ABCL. In this paper, we will scrutinize some essential aspects of this management.

  • ubiquitous network management system (u-NMS) is the network management system based on smartphone which are recently of wide use. The purpose of the u-NMS is to provide convenience for network administrator utilizing the mobility of smartphone and to manage the network efficiently. This paper proposes the smart NMS agent and the mobility management server (MMS). The smart NMS agent enables to use the monitoring web server and remote control application on the smartphone in wireless network. The MMS is developed to reduce the problems such as handover latency and packet loss, which can be taken place in wireless network. The network manager can monitor traffic in real time through the smart NMS agent and remotely control the network efficiently when sudden failures happen in the u-NMS. In this paper, performance evaluation is carried out with our test-bed system implemented. We focus on the measurement of the MMS performance. When the MMS is compared to previous mobility management protocol, our mobility management server reduces the average latency up to 65% in initial access, handover latency and processing delay to the network management center.

기업보안 강화를 위한 취약점 진단 통합관리 체계 구축

  • 기업활동에서 IT에 대한 의존도가 증가함에 따라 기업들은 다양한 소프트웨어 및 하드웨어 플랫폼에서 제공되는 서비스들을 운영하고 있다. 서비스들이 보급, 확대되는 과정에서 새로운 보안 취약점들이 나타나고, 이들 취약점을 악용한 기업정보의 유출 및 해킹 등 보안사고의 발생도 비례하여 증가하고 있다[1]. 특히 다양한 유형의 사업을 운영하는 지주회사 또는 대기업 그룹사의 경우, 사업영역별로 운영 중인 IT 인프라의 보안 취약점이 네트워크로 연결된 타 사업용 IT 인프라에 대한 사이버 침해의 통로로 악용될 가능성이 있다. 이 같은 문제의 해결을 위해 기업들은 사업영역 별로 보유한 IT 인프라의 보안 취약점 진단과 대응을 위한 솔루션들을 도입, 운영해 오고 있다. 하지만 기업의 보안 거버넌스 관점에서 보안 취약점 관리도 전사적인 보안 정책과의 연계 강화, 투자 중복의 방지, 효과적인 관리와 통제에 대한 필요성이 대두되기 시작했다. 보안 거버넌스 체계 강화에 대한 기업의 요구변화에 맞춰 보안 취약점의 통합관리를 지원하는 상용 솔루션들이 일부 출시되고 있으나 기업들이 기 운영하고 있는 개별 취약점 진단 솔루션과의 연동, 로그관리 및 기업이 요구하는 특화된 기능 구현 등의 어려움이 도입에 장애가 되고 있다. 따라서, 대기업을 중심으로 개별 보안 취약점 진단 솔루션들을 연동하여 기업보안 거버넌스를 효과적으로 지원할 수 있도록 취약점 관리업무 프로세스의 재설계와 함께 취약점 진단 통합관리 체계를 구축하고 있다[2][3][4]. 본고는 보안 취약점 관리업무의 문제점을 소개하고, 최근 대 기업을 중심으로 활발히 구축이 추진되고 있는 웹 기반의 취약 점 진단 통합관리 체계의 개념, 기능 및 운영 프로세스를 소개한다. 아울러, 기업 IT 인프라에 대한 보안 취약점 진단 데이터를 축적하여 기업 내부의 보안위험 요소를 사전예측하고, 정보보호의 투자 대비 효과(ROSI: Security Return on Investment)를 효과적으로 산정하는 인프라로서 활용 가치를 소개한다.

  • This paper describes the implementations of the first application service based on embedded Linux; Mobile Teller which uses WiBro network for data communications and CDMA network for voice communications. Currently, with the appearance of WiBro service, dual-mode terminals which support two heterogeneous networks are available. But, the development of applications which effectively use these networks for providing better service to user is rarely prepared. At Mobile Teller, when a sender on a dual-mode terminal types texts, the texts are transmitted to a TTS server located in the Internet through WiBro network. Subsequently, the TTS server converts the texts into voices and transmits the voice data to the dual-mode terminal. At last the dual-mode terminal sends the voice to the receiver through the CDMA network. In case of noisy environment or when a user has difficulty in speaking, Mobile Teller makes voice communication possible

Development of Adaptive Moving Obstacle Avoidance Algorithm Based on Global Map using LRF sensor (LRF 센서를 이용한 글로벌 맵 기반의 적응형 이동 장애물 회피 알고리즘 개발)

  • In this paper, the autonomous mobile robot whit only LRF sensors proposes an algorithm for avoiding moving obstacles in an environment where a global map containing fixed obstacles. First of all, in oder to avoid moving obstacles, moving obstacles are extracted using LRF distance sensor data and a global map. An ellipse-shaped safety radius is created using the sum of relative vector components between the extracted moving obstacles and of the autonomuos mobile robot. Considering the created safety radius, the autonomous mobile robot can avoid moving obstacles and reach the destination. To verify the proposed algorithm, use quantitative analysis methods to compare and analyze with existing algorithms. The analysis method compares the length and run time of the proposed algorithm with the length of the path of the existing algorithm based on the absence of a moving obstacle. The proposed algorithm can be avoided by taking into account the relative speed and direction of the moving obstacle, so both the route and the driving time show higher performance than the existing algorithm.

  • Path setup considering QoS is one of the main problems to solve in Internet traffic engineering. In network restoration that is one of the traffic engineering components, to establish a backup path or backup path for a working path to be protected is the main task. The backup path should have enough bandwidth to guarantee the working paths. Thus this work requires the QoS routing solution that is to set up a backup path as well as a working path at the same time provisioning enough bandwidth. In this paper, we propose an algorithm to setup a backup path that shares the bandwidth of other backup paths whose working path does not pass along the same link with the working path we are considering. In this way we can reduce much bandwidth consumption caused by setting up backup paths. We also analyze the disjoint path computation algorithms. Finally we show simulation results how the algorithm can reduce the bandwidth consumption and how it will affect blocking when we setup paths.

  • Recently, mobile devices support multi-functions such as 3D game, wireless internet, moving pictures, DMB, GPS, and PMP. Bigger size of display device is indispensable to support these functions and higher speed of the interface is needed. However, conventional parallel interfaces between processor and display nodule are not competent enough for that high speed transfers. High-speed serial interface is beginning to appear as an alternative for parallel interface. The advantages of the serial interface are high bandwidth, small number of interconnections, low-power consumption, and good quality of electro-magnetic interference. In this paper, we implement serial interface and use it for a display module. LVDS is used for PHY layer and a defined packet is used for link layer. The feature of the implemented serial interface is the reduced number of interconnections with enough bandwidth.
