Use of Statistical Process Control for Quality Assurance in Radiation Therapy (방사선치료에서의 품질보증을 위한 통계적공정관리의 활용)

  • The goal of quality assurance (QA) is to minimize systematic errors in order to maintain the quality of a certain process. Statistical process control (SPC) has been utilized for QA in radiation therapy field since 2005 and is changing QA paradigm. Its purpose is to maintain a process within the given control limits while monitoring of error trends such as variation or dispersion. SPC can be applied to all QA aspects of radiotherapy; however, a medical physicist should have enough knowledge about the application of SPC to QC/QA procedures. In this paper, the author introduce a concept of SPC and review some previously reported studies those used SPC for QA in radiation therapy.

  • 샘플링 등 전통적인 관리기법이 백만분의 일 단위의 불량에서는 전수검사가 되어버리는 등의 문제점을 해결하기 위해서는 보다 적극적인 예방품질을 확보하지 않은면 안되는 시점에서 검사, 재작업, 스크랩을 절감하려는 SPC 프로그램을 1980년대 후반부터 미국의 반도체업계에서 구체화시키기 시작했다. 아남산업은 1987년부터 고객(주로 미국)의 요구에 따라 SPC를 도입하여 지난 7년간 통계적 기법을 활용한 공정관리를 하고 있는 중이다. 현재 SPC팀은 품질관리실 소속으로 통계적 기법의 현장활용 및 고객 요구사항의 대응을 위한 SPC 전략수립과 SPC 전산화에 대한 업무를 진행하고 있다. 지난 7년간 아남산업(주)의 통계적 기법의 적용현황과 문제점 그리고 향후전망에 대해 기술하고 제조업체의 품질시스템 중 통계적 기법의 활용에 대해 조명해 보기로 하겠다.

  • In order to know the situation of statistical Quality Control in Korea, we have surveyedabout 4, 500 manufacturing companies in Korea. Among the first 4, 500 manufacturing companies, 2, 586 companies have answered for the questionairs of the sample survey. In this research a statistical analysis is conducted for the 2, 586 companies and diagnosis of the situation of Statistical Quality Control is Korea in presented in terms of levels of development and degrees of implementation.

  • The purpose of IT Service Level Management(SLM) has recently shifted from being a simple financial contract(SLA contract itself) towards a system(SLA management system) for the management of the customer's expectations and the provider's service. The aim of this paper is to introduce and present the systematic SLM using statistical method. We discuss the service level according to two points of view: statistical method and service level management. First, we go into more detail on the objective service level using statistical method. Second, we give an overview of total service level assessment method. The proposed framework enables to measure total service level as IT outsourcing performance quantitatively from the aspect of business strategy.

  • This article deals with statistical quality control (SQC) activities in manufacturing processes, First of all, the sources of variatin in product quality are listed and studied. Next, a typical SQC activity system in manufacturing processes is provided with a flow-chart, and each step in the system is explained. A real case example of a domestic company which follows the SQC activity system is illustrated. Finally, some approaches to activate SQC in manufacturing companies are suggested.

  • This paper presents the response calibration method based on quality control range, which is established from the concept and method of statistical quality control for natural frequency ratio and response ratio. To this end, statistical analysis including descriptive statistics analysis, normality test, ANOVA were performed for response characteristics obtained from loading tests and structural analysis for more than hundred and thirty well-conditioned bridges. Suggested method is based on real structural integrity evaluation case studies and statistical quality control approach, in this respect it is expected to provide scientific criteria and systematic procedure for response calibration and load carrying capacity assessment.

  • IT 아웃소싱에서 서비스수준협약(Service Level Agreement)은 필수적으로 인식되고 있으며, 그에 따른 합리적인 서비스수준관리(Service Level Management)방법이 요구되고 있다. 합리적인 서비스 수준관리(SLM)은 데이터를 기반으로 통계적 기법을 이용하여 정보기술 아웃소싱 서비스 수준을 관리하는 것이다. 그러나 서비스수준협약(SLA)이 IT 아웃소싱 분야에서 널리 확산된 반면에 그 관리방법은 기초적인 수준이다. 본 연구는 합리적인 서비스수준관리 (SLM)를 위해 통계적 기법을 이용한 서비스 목표수준을 설정하고, 체계적이고 종합적인 서비스 수준평가방안을 제시한다.
