본 통계는 2002년 1월부터 디아조(Diazo) 광디스크 파일링, 타이프 라이터, 2005년 1월부터 서류분쇄기(Shredder), 타임레코더(Time recorder)가 생산 통계에서 제외되었기 때문에 전체의 숫자에는 포함되어 있지 않다. 지면 사정상 오프셋인쇄기(생산수 출입)과 워드프로세서(수출입)의 표는 생략했지만, 사무기 전체의 숫자에는 포함되어 있다. 그리고 2007년부터 회계기(수출입)가 통계에서 제외되어 전체 숫자에는 들어있지 않다. 한편, 2007년 1월 통계부터 수출입의 복사기 카테고리가 변경되어, 지금까지 계산하지 않았던 레이저복합기(FAX, 프린터, 스캐너 기능을 탑재한 기종)를 통계에 넣었기 때문에 숫자가 종전보다 늘어났으며 정전간접식, 기타 분류는 없어졌다.

In this paper, the following facts have been reviewed: First, statistics should have the characteristics of descriptive, inferential, and applicative statistics in "information-Knowledge Society." Second, the computer has been employed in the process data collection and data analysis for producing the statistics with timeliness and efficiency. Third, we have to develop a statistical development plan which lays emphasis on the production of applicative statistics in the coming "Internet Cyber Society." In addition, we investigaated statistical survey methods. The prospects of internet surveys were also investigated here. On the basis of the above review and investigation. we suggested "an integrated system of computer-assisted statistical surveys" that can be applied to all kinds of surveys and statistics.nds of surveys and statistics.

Small area estimation is becoming important in survey sampling due to a growing demand for reliable small area statistics. In estimating means, totals, and other parameters for small areas of a finite population, samplie sizes for small areas are typically small because the overall sample size is usually determined to provide specific accuracy at a much higher level of aggregation than that of small area. The usual direct estimators that use the only information which is gotten from the sample in a given small area provide unreliable estimates. However, indirect estimators utilize the information from the areas related with a given small area, that is borrow strength from other related areas, and so give more accurate estimates than direct estimators. In this paper we investigate small area estimation methods such as synthetic, composite and empirical best linear unbiased prediction estimator, and apply them to real domestic data which is from the Survey of Hotels and Restaurants in In-Chon as of 1996 and then evaluate the performance of these methods by measuring average squared errors. This evaluation shows that indirect estimators, which are small area estimation methods, are more efficient direct estimator.

본 연구는 Pelzman and Martic (1981)의 불균형 국내 산출 방정식(disequilibrium domestic output equation)을 이용하여 수입 섬유 및 의류 제품이 미국 내에서 생산되는 섬유 및 의류 제품의 생산량에 미치는 영향을 통계적으로 분석하였다. 불균형 국내 산출 방정식에서 Pelzman and Martin (1981)은 특정 기간 동안 미국 내의 생산량은 7가지의 변수 즉, (1) 생산 근로자의 평균시간 임금, (2)자본의 사용 가격, (3) 수입품의 비교 가격, (4) 실질 여유 소득, (5) 섬유 및 의류제품의 국내 가격, (6) 섬유 및 의류 제품의 재고량, (7)섬유 및 의류 제품의 수입량에 의해 영향을 받는다고 가정하였다. 그러나 불균형 국내 산출 방정식을 만족하는 정부 기관의 통계자료가 다 없기 때문에 수정된 국내 산출 방정식을 만들어서 분석하였다. 이 수정된 국내 산출 방정식을 이용하여 수입 섬유 및 의류 제품이 미국 내에서 생산되는 섬유 및 의류 제품의 생산량에 미치는 영향을 통계적으로 처리하여 그 결과를 분석하였다. 그 분석된 결과로는 국내 의류 및 섬유 생산 수준은 재고 변화보다는 가격 변화에 더 민감하게 반응한다. 그리고 국내 의류 및 섬유 생산 수준은 수입 의류 및 섬유의 수입량과는 역관계이다. 이것은 수입 의류 및 섬유의 증가는 국내 의류 및 섬유 생산의 감소를 야기시킨다. 이 불균형 국내 산출 방정식이 다른 나라의 분석에도 유용할 것이다.

OITDA에서는 1980년7월 설립이래 매년 관계위원의 정력적인 활동으로 광산업동향에 관한 조사를 수행해 왔고 산업동향의 기초자료로서 높은 평가를 받아 왔다. 7개의 분야별 조사전문위원회와 통계해석전문위원회를 설치 운영해 왔으나, 2000년부터 통계해석전문위원회 중에 광산업세계시장조사 워킹그룹을 새로 설치해서 광관련 제품의 세계시장에서의 향후 10년에 걸친 수요동향을 파악하고 세계시장에서의 일본의 자리매김을 명확히 할 목적으로 활동을 개시했다. 특히 주목할 만한 특허기술로 본 광산업의 동향과 한국의 광산업동향을 조사해서 21세기 초두의 일본의 광산업을 전망했다. 분야별 광기술 동향에 대해서는 다음 기회로 미루고 이번호에서는 광산업의 시장동향에 대한 OITDA 발표자료와 2000년도 광산업동향세미나 내용에서 지면관계상 일부내용을 발췌하여 정리했다. OITDA에서 통계로 삼고 있는 광산업동향은 ‘광전현상을 이용한 부품 또는 이것들을 핵심부품으로 사용하는 기기 장치’를 광산업으로 분류하고 있다. 여기에서 보여주고 있는 일본 생산은 품종에 따라서 해외생산이 증가함으로써 발생한 일본내의 생산이 감소한 경우도 순순한 일본국내생산만을 통계로 삼고 있다.

조사통계는 정부통계 작성이 시초였으며 정부통계는 해방후 정부수립과 동시에 기본적인 항목만 생산되었으나 1961년 장기적인 경제발전계획의 수립과 추진을 위한 경제기획원 발족이 활성화의 계기가 되었다. 1963년에는 경제활동 인구조사에서 전수조사가 아닌 표본조사를 처음 적용하였으며, 1991년 1월 조사 통계국이 통계청으로 승격되어 다양한 분야의 수준높은 통계작성과 통계에 대한 신뢰성 제고가 가능케 되었다.

통계학만 전공해도 취업이 잘 되고 생활이 보장될 수 있다는 긍지를 가질 수 있도록 통계에 대한 인식제고 및 사회적 대우를 고양할 수 있는 방안이 강구되어야 한다. 지방자치제 운영에 대비하여 지역통계발전에 대한 대비책을 마련하여 지역특성에 적합한 표본설계를 함으로써 조사통계의 활성화를 기하도록 해야 한다. 양질 통계만이 생산될 수 있도록 통계작성자에 대한 자격부여제도를 법적으로 마련할 수 있도록 연구하여 실행토록 해야 한다.

Upon rapid growth of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Korea, the necessity of improved quality of official statistics in ICT is uprising. In order to improve the quality of ICT statistics, various factors such as survey quality, processing quality, output quality and reputation of statistical agency need to be considered together. We use a structural equation model to find a relationship among such factors which can influence the customer satisfaction. Furthermore, this study provides customer with characterized feedback information by comparing the satisfaction indices. It is expected that our model can be used to improve the quality of official ICT statistics.
