Computational Study on Design of the AIG for the Enhancement of Ammonia Injection in the SCR System (SCR 시스템 내 암모니아 분사 균일도 개선을 위한 AIG 설계에 관한 해석적 연구)

  • The performance of the ammonia injection gun (AIG) used for maximizing the utilization of reducing agent in the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system is decided by several parameters such as the pattern of flow distribution, geometry of the air distribution manifold (ADM) and the array and geometry of nozzles. In the study, the uniformity of jet flows from the nozzles in AIG was analyzed statistically by using the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method to evaluate the role of design parameters on the performance of the SCR system. The uniformity of jet flows from the nozzles is being deteriorated with increasing the supplying flow rate to the AIG. Distribution rates to each branch pipe become lower with decreasing distance to the header, and flow rates from nozzle are also reduced with decreasing distance to the header. The uniformity of jet flows from nozzles becomes stable significantly when the ratio of summative area of nozzles to each sectional area of the branch pipe is below 0.5.

  • The purpose of this paper is to numerically study the characteristics of the indoor air flow of a square ceiling type diffuser according to the vane angle and flow rate. The CFX of ANSYS 13.0 was used for the CFD tool. The size of the room is $6m(X){\times}6m(Y){\times}2.7m(Z)$. The exhaust diffuser was positioned diagonally to the supply diffuser. This diffuser was designed to have many holes, so the air supply had long throw patterns with low velocity decay. The characteristics of the indoor air flow was studied at volume flow rates of 5.1 CMM and 7.4 CMM, and a vane angle from $30^{\circ}$ to $60^{\circ}$, every $10^{\circ}$.

  • 본 논문은 부스터펌프 자동제어시스템의 성능평가를 위한 시험방법에 관한 것이다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 시험방법은 펌프 자체의 성능평가에만 의존했던 기존의 방법과 달리 펌프와 펌프를 제어하기 위한 자동제어장치까지 포함한 전체 시스템에 대한 성능평가를 할 수 있도록 한다. 본 시험방법은 부스터펌프 자동제어시스템을 설치하고, 토출 측에 전자제어밸브를 설치하여 이를 제어함으로써 물의 사용량 즉, 유량에 변화를 주게 된다. 이때 토출압력을 일정하게 유지하도록 설정된 자동제어시스템은 펌프를 제어하여 물을 토출 측으로 공급하게 되며 이를 통해 토출압력의 변화를 측정하는 방법이다. 이러한 시험방법에 있어서 정상상태특성시험, 가속 특성시험, 응답특성시험을 수행한다. 결과적으로 본 논문의 시험방법을 통해 전체 시스템에 대한 성능평가가 가능하며, 모든 시험과정을 자동화 할 수 있고 다양한 운전환경에 대한 유량변화를 짧은 시간 내에 적용하여 시험에 소요되는 시간을 단축할 수 있다.

  • An airlift pump can be used to pump liquids and sediments within itself, which cannot easily be pumped up by a conventional method, by using the airlift effect. This characteristic of the airlift pump can be exploited in a DCFC (Direct Carbon Fuel Cell) so that molten fuel with high temperature may be carried or transported. The basic characteristics of airlift are investigated. A simple system is constructed, where the reservoir is filled with water, a tube is inserted, and air is supplied from the bottom of the tube. Then, water is lifted and its flow rate is measured. Bubble patterns in the tube are observed in a range of air flow rates with the parameters of the tube diameter and submergence ratio, leading to four distinct regimes. The pumping performance is predicted, and the correlation between the supplied gas flow rate and the induced flow rate of water is found.

  • For a preliminary study on a thrust-throttleable Variable Flow Ducted Rocket, a gas generator and flow control valve were developed, and ground combustion tests were performed. The gas generator and flow control valve operated at the required performance level for parameters, such as heat-resistance, combustion-time, pressure, and temperature. The combustion characteristics of a fuel-rich solid propellant mixed with Boron/MgAl/AP, etc., were also analyzed. A Plunger-type flow control valve was designed to control the discharge flow area, and it was confirmed that the flow control valve was able to control the combustion gas flow rate and pressure. However, due to the reduction of the discharge flow area caused by adhesion of combustion products, the combustion pressure continuously increased. The analysis of the pressure increase is covered in Part 2 of this paper.

  • In this study, a numerical approach was utilized to observe the phenomena in the ground combustion test of a gas generator for a ducted rocket with a plunger-type flow control device. The design factors were also identified through the analysis. It was observed that the pressure increase without the adhesion of the combustion product at the discharge pipe was quite similar to the analysis assuming a cone-shaped erosive burning effect. The pressure increase in most cases was similar to the analysis results when assuming the change in discharge pipe area due to the adhesion of combustion products. Moreover, it was also established that for a given grain shape and discharge flow area, the effect of the adhesion of combustion products has a significant effect on the combustion chamber pressure for cases over n=0.45.

  • This paper is to study applying for numerical analysis method for flow field, velocity and pressure of fuel on the low pressure pump using excavator. The pressure distribution of fuel pump certified the linear variation according to rotation angle of rotor. Especially, it knew the fact that the pressure in rotation angle $40^{\circ}$ appeared high outlet and low inlet of fuel pump. Also, this range angle can seek the fact that the leakage flow and velocity are the most increasing. And the more rotor rotation of fuel pump, the more mean outlet flow rate increased in linear. Whenever the gap size decrease with rotor and housing, the discharge flow rate could seek the approaching 0.0712kg/s that consider with theory discharge flow rate calculated from displacement between rotor gear and idle gear.

Numerical analysis of the Sediment Pass-Through from Weirs by using CCHE2D (수치모형을 이용한 보의 토사토출 효과 분석)

  • 최근 집중호우 등으로 인하여 유역에 생산된 토사가 하도에 유입되면서 하상 및 지형변동을 일으키고 있으며, 보 및 댐 상류에서 유사의 퇴적으로 인하여 홍수위 변화와 저수지 기능감소 등 많은 변화를 가져오고 있다. 이로 인하여 댐 및 보의 지속적인 유지관리를 위하여 유사관리 방안이 절실하게 요구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 낙동강에 건설된 상주보와 구미보를 대상으로 CCHE2D모형을 이용하여 보의 상류에 퇴적된 토사의 토출(배출(排出), SPT)효과를 분석하였다. 토사 토출 효과를 예측하기 위하여 2차원 하상변동 수치모형인 CCHE2D를 이용한 하상변동 과정을 모의한 결과, 보 상류에서는 수문을 통과하여 흐르는 유속으로 인하여 하상이 저하 되었으며, 보 하류에서는 상류에서 유입되는 유사량과 지형적인 영향을 받아 세굴과 퇴적이 반복되는 경향을 보였다. 상류에서 2년빈도 유량, $1,500m^3/s$, $1,000m^3/s$, 풍수량으로 48시간 동안 상주보와 구미보로 유입될 때, 수문이 완전히 열린 상태로 있을 경우에, 상주보와 구미보에서 배사효과를 예측하기 위하여 유사 전달(Sediment delivery)을 분석하였다. 상주보와 구미보에서 배사효과를 예측하기 위하여 유사 전달을 분석한 결과, 상주보는 2년빈도 유량인 $3,857m^3/s$로 48시간 동안 상주보로 유입될 때, 보에서 하류로 전달되는 유사량은 약 4,400 tons 정도로 산정되었다. 유량인 $1,500m^3/s$일 때, 약 2,700 tons이 하류로 전달되지만, 최대 유사전달이 발생되는 지점은 보 하류에서 발생하였다. 풍수량 인 $207.4m^3/s$ 일 때, 1,357 tons이 하류로 전달되며, 최대 유사전달이 발생되는 지점은 상주보에서 발생하였다. 구미보는 2년빈도 유량인 $5,400m^3/s$로 48시간 동안 상주보로 유입될 때, 보에서 하류로 전달되는 유사량은 약 3,216 tons 정도로 산정되었다. 유량이 $1,500m^3/s$일 때, 약 73 tons이 하류로 전달되지만, 최대 유사전달이 발생되는 지점은 보에서 발생하였다. 유량인 $1,000m^3/s$일 때, 약 16 tons이 하류로 전달되며, 풍수량 인 $129.7m^3/s$일 때, 28 tons이 하류로 전달되었다. 상주보와 구미보 상류에서는 유사 전달이 감소하여, 유사가 약간 퇴적되는 경향을 보이지만, 전 구간에 걸쳐서 대체적으로 유사 전달이 크게 변하지 않고 있다. 보 상류를 제외하고는 전제적으로 하상고의 변화가 거의 없이 평형 상태를 유지하고 있는 것을 의미한다. 따라서, 상류에서 2년빈도의 홍수량이 유입될 때, 수문을 완전히 개방할 경우에 배사 효과가 크게 있는 것을 알 수 있다.

  • In this study, we analyzed the system impedance of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle avionics bay and Environmental Control System(ECS), and estimated the proper air flow rate to be supplied avionics equipments. As the result of estimation, we evaluated the performance of ECS after analysing the flow balance rate and the air flow rate about each outlet port, and simultaneously decided the flow balance rate after evaluating the thermal substantiality by the thermal analysis of avionics bay. In order to verify the property of analysis result, we conducted the flow balance test using the actual avionics equipments and finally deduced the flow rate to be met system requirements of avionics equipments. Also, as the analysis results, we verified the satisfaction of system requirements at midium altitude condition and proved the performance characteristics of an Environmental Control System(ECS).
