Process Development for in-situ Transverse Orientation of TLCP Fibril in PC/TLCP Blends (액정고분자 복합계의 in-situ 횡단면 배향을 위한 공정개발)

  • 액정고분자/폴리카보네이트 혼합계로 구성된 분자복합계를 쉬트상으로 가공할 때 취 약해지기 쉬운 횡단면 방향의 물성을 향상시키기 위하여 미세섬유상의 배향을 in-situ 상태 로 적절히 제어할수 있는 Simultaneous Convergent-Divergent(SCD) 다이를 설계·제작하 고 압출실험을 수행하여 얻은 압출 쉬트를 대상으로 구조-물성-가공의 상관관계를 조사하 였다. 액정고분자의 첨가 함량에 따른 토오크와 토출량의 변화는 액정고분자를 10wt% 소량 첨가하였음에도 현저한 감소 효과를 보였으며 약 30wt%일 때 최소로되었다. 이는 액정고분 자가 보강 기능외에 가공특성의 개선에도 큰 효과가 있어 가공조제로서의 가능성을 보이는 결과로 혼합계의 유변학적 특성 결과에서도 확인할수 있었다. 또 DSC와 DMA를 이용한 열 분석 결과 액정고분자의 함량이 증가함에 따라 PC의 유리전이온도가 다소 감소하는 현상을 보임에 미루어 이 혼합계는 부분적으로 상용성을 갖는 것으로 볼수 있으며 모폴로지 분석을 통해서도 이를 확인할수 있었다. TLCP/PC 혼합계로 구성되는 분자복합재를 SCD 다이를 사용하여 제조한 압출 쉬트의 방향성에 따른 기계적 물성은 기존의 쉬트 다이보다 흐름방향 으로는 다소 낮은 물성치를 보이지만 횡단면 방향으로는 물성이 현저히 향상됨을 관찰할수 있었다. 모폴로지 분석결과 기존의 쉬트 다이의 경우 벽면 부근에서는 액정고분자가 미세섬 유상으로 형성되어 흐름방향으로 배향되어 있지만 중심부에서는 액정 상태로 존재하는 반 면, SCD 다이의 경우 미세섬유상으로 형성된 액정고분자가 벽면에서부터 중심부로 갈수록 횡단면 방향으로 서서히 배향되어 있음을 확인할수 있었다.

Effect of Oil Groove Shapes on the Characteristic of the Flow Rate at the Journal Bearing with Vertical Type (수직형 저널 베어링의 유량특성에 대한 그루브 형상의 영향)

  • As journal bearing has a sliding motion between the shaft and bearing with lubricating oil, it produces a hydrodynamic lubrication condition. Journal bearing can receive a large force because it takes a distributed load at the large friction face. As the oil groove or oil hole is made in the journal bearing surface for the journal bearing smoothly working under a hydrodynamic lubrication condition, sufficient lubricating oil is supplied through the clearance of journal bearing. The performance of the journal bearing is changed according to the shapes, sizes and positions of an oil groove. In this paper, the flow rate according to the oil groove shapes (triangle, semicircle and rectangle) among the various oil supply conditions was measured. The shape that discharges the highest flow rate was observed and the groove shape of optimal performance for the journal bearing was determined. The results showed that the flow rate increases with decreasing operating temperature, the influence of temperature on the flow rate decreased with increasing rotational speed, and flow rate in the triangular groove shape was greater than in other shapes.

  • 최근 디지털 프린팅 기술의 핵심기술로 떠오르고 있는 잉크젯 프린팅 기술은 최근 기존의 문서인쇄 뿐 아니라, 직물 인쇄, 태양전지 등의 다양한 반도체 소자 제조에 널리 활용되고 있으며, 점차 그 응용 분야를 넓혀가고 있다. 특히 thermal 방식의 잉크젯 피린팅 기술은 etching, thin film process, lithography등의 반도체 공정 기술을 이용하여 제작할 수 있기 때문에, 현재 잉크젯 프린팅 기술은 대부분 thermal 방식을 체택하고 있다. 이러한 thermal 잉크젯 프린팅 방법에서는 잉크를 토출시키기 위하여, 전기적 에너지를 열에너지로 전환하는 전자저항막층이 필수적으로 필요하게 되는데, 이러한 전자저항막층은 수백도가 넘는 고온 및 잉크와 접촉으로 인한 부식 및 산화 문제가 발생할 수 있는 열악한 환경에서 사용되므로, Ta, SiN과 같은 보호층을 필수적으로 필요로 한다. 그러나 최근 잉크젯 프린터의 고해상도 고속화, 대면적 인쇄성 등과 같은 다양한 요구 증가에 따라, 잉크젯 프린터의 저전력 구동이 이슈로 떠올라 열효율에 방해가 되는 보호층을 제거할 필요성이 제기되고 있다. 지금까지는 Poly-Si, $HfB_2$, TiN, TaAl, TaN 0.8 등의 물질들이 잉크젯 프린터용 전자저항막 물질로 연구되거나 실제로 사용되어져 왔으나, 이러한 물질들을 보호층을 제거하는 경우 쉽게 산화되거나, 부식되는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 따라서, 기존 전자저항막의 기능을 만족시키면서, 산화나 부식에 대한 강한 내성을 가져 보호층을 제거하더라도 안정적으로 구동이 가능한 하이브리드 기능성(히터 + 보호층)을 가지는 잉크젯 프린터용 전자저항막 물질의 개발이 시급한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 자기조립특성을 가져 정밀제어가 가능한 원자층증착법(Atomic Layer Deposition)을 이용하여 원자/나노 단위의 미세 구조 컨트롤을 통해 내열 내산화 내부식성 저온도저항계수를 동시에 가지는 다기능성 전자저항막을 설계 및 개발하고자 하였다. 전자저항막 개발을 위하여 우수한 내부식 내산화성을 가지고 결정립 크기에 따른 온도저항계수 조절이 가능한 platinum group metal들과 전기 저항 및 내열성 향상을 위한 물질의 복합구조막을 원자증증착법으로 증착하였다. 또한, 전자저항막 증착시 미세구조와 공정 변수가 내부식성, 내산화성, 그리고 온도저항계수에 미치는 영향을 체계적으로 연구하여, proto-type의 inkjet printhead를 구현하였다.

The Effects of Screw Speeds and Moisture Contents on Soy Protein under Texturization Using a Single-screw Extruder (압출성형기의 스크류 회전속도와 원료수분함량이 대두단백질의 조직화에 미치는 영향)

  • The effects of screw speeds and moisture contents on the physical properties of texturized extrudate from isolated soy protein were examined by using a single-screw extruder. The screw speeds and moisture contents tested were in the range of 122-334 rpm and 20-35%, respectively, and die temperature were $90-145^{\circ}C$. The texturization characteristics such as nitrogen solubility index, integrity index, chewiness, density, rehydration ratio, and lightness after rehydration were appeared to be influenced by screw speed and moisture content. As the screw speed increased and moisture content decreased, die temperature, nitrogen solubility index, integrity index, lightness before and after rehydration were increased, while chewiness, density, water content of final extrudate wee decreased. The rehydration rate was changed drastically at the feed moisture content of 30% in particular. As the moisture content decreased, the air cell size became large and its number was increased. The effects of interaction between screw speed and moisture content of raw materials on the extrudate characteristics were tested by the analysis of variance.

Performance Evaluation of R22 Alternative Refrigerants According to Temperature Variations of Evaporator and Condenser (증발기와 응축기 온도변화에 따른 R22 대체냉매의 성능평가)

  • In this study, performance of 2 pure hydrocarbons and 3 mixtures was measured in an attempt to substitute R22 under 3 different temperature conditions. The mixtures were composed of R1270(propylene), R290(propane) and R152a. They were tested in a refrigerating bench tester with a hermetic rotary compressor The test bench provided about 3.5 kW capacity and water and water/glycol mixture were employed as the secondary heat transfer fluids. All tests were conducted under the same external conditions resulting in the average saturation temperatures of $7^{\circ}C/45^{\circ}C$ and $-7^{\circ}C/41^{\circ}C$ and $-21^{\circ}C/28^{\circ}C$ in the evaporator and condenser, respectively. Test results show that the coefficient of performance (COP) of these refrigerants is up to 11.54% higher than that of R22 in all temperature conditions. Compressor discharge temperatures were reduced by $14{\sim}31^{\circ}C$ with these fluids. There was no problem with mineral oil since the mixtures were mainly composed of hydrocarbons. The amount of charge was reduced up to 58% as compared to R22. Overall, these fluids provide good performance with reasonable energy savings without any environmental problem and thus can be used as long term alternatives for residential air-conditioning and heat pumping application.

Investigation on the Performance of Special Purpose Automotive Air-Conditioning System Using Dual Refrigeration Cycle (듀얼 냉동사이클을 이용하는 특수목적 자동차용 에어컨 시스템의 냉방성능에 관한 연구)

  • The objective of this study is to investigate the cooling performance of an air-conditioning system for a special purpose vehicle under tropical and severe weather conditions. In order to evaluate and compare the cooling performances, the dual refrigeration cycle using R-134a was tested on a special purpose vehicle with various refrigerant charge amounts and indoor temperatures. The cycle was tested considering indoor cooling speed and compression ratio (discharge pressure), and was optimized at the refrigerant charge amount of 1.5 kg and outdoor temperature of $40.0^{\circ}C$. The time to reach indoor temperature of $15.0^{\circ}C$ increased by 86.5% and 38.1%, at the indoor temperatures from $25.0^{\circ}C$ to $32.5^{\circ}C$ and from $32.5^{\circ}C$ to $40.0^{\circ}C$, respectively. In addition, with the increase in indoor temperature from $25.0^{\circ}C$ to $40.0^{\circ}C$, the cooling capacity increased by 7.3%, from 19.1 kW to 20.5 kW, but decreased by 7.0% from 4.67 to 5.1.

Development of Nitrogen Cooling Equipment for Personalized Local Area (개인 맞춤형 국소부위 질소 냉각 장비 개발)

  • In this paper, we propose the development of nitrogen cooling equipment for personalized local area. The proposed equipment consists of a cold air supply module, a body, and nitrogen injection with the following characteristics. First, it automatically controls the amount and time of cold air supply by utilizing information measuring skin temperature with volumetric temperature sensors, so it can have a competitive edge in function by ensuring complete safety. Second, if the distance measuring sensor is applied to the skin for more than a certain distance, it can block the cold air or control the discharge of nitrogen in conjunction with the control GUI to improve the efficiency of higher cooling therapy while providing safe management. Third, by installing a control module that can control the supply of nitrogen, the cost of maintenance can be minimized by minimizing the loss of nitrogen. Experiments at an external testing agency to evaluate the performance of the proposed equipment showed that the accuracy of the temperature sensor was measured in the range of ±3.8%, which is lower than the world's highest level(±5%), with a range of 110℃ to -160℃ similar to the world's highest level. Distance accuracy was measured in the range of ±3.0%, lower than the world's highest level(±5%), and weight accuracy in the range of ±0.1%, lower than the world's highest level(±5%). In addition, emission control was measured in four stages, higher than the world's highest level(stage 1) and nitrogen use was measured at 0.8L/min below the world's highest(6L/min). Therefore, the effectiveness of the methods proposed in this paper was demonstrated because they produced the same results as the world's highest levels.

Technology for Improving the Uniformity of the Environment in the Oyster Mushroom Cultivation House by using Multi-layered Shelves (느타리버섯 균상재배사의 환경균일성 향상을 위한 기술 개발)

  • Mushrooms can grow in nature when adequate temperature and humidity are maintained, but such condition can be satisfied for only a short period of time on an annual continuum. Therefore, it can be deemed that a majority of the distributed mushrooms in the current market are produced in an artificially manipulated environment. This study was conducted to resolve the problem of the Oyster mushroom cultivation house's internal temperature and humidity imbalance, where the Oyster mushrooms are cultivated in a multi-layered shelves. The air circulation fans were installed to improve the air uniformity of the Oyster mushroom cultivation house by using multi-layered shelves. During the experiment, the ambient temperature and the ambient relative humidity ranged from $5.2^{\circ}C$ to $20.4^{\circ}C$ and 40% to 100% respectively. Due to the change of the outdoor temperature, the internal temperature of the Oyster mushroom cultivation house also changed, ranging from $13.3^{\circ}C$ to $18.4^{\circ}C$, but the temperature gap between the different internal location of the facility during the conforming recorded time only ranged from $0.2^{\circ}C$ to $1.3^{\circ}C$, being significantly stable. The internal relative humidity, ranging from 82% to 96%, also changed due to the change of the outdoor temperature. Nevertheless, the relative humidity gap between the different internal location during the conforming recorded time only ranged from 2% to 7%. Furthermore, the research staff were able to maintain the concentration of $CO_2$ from 575ppm to 731ppm(below 1,000ppm was the goal) indicating the possibility of an even management of the internal environment by installing the air circulation fan.

Performance of HFC32/HFC152a Mixture for Water-source Heat Pumps (수열원 히트펌프 용 HFC32/HFC152a 혼합냉매의 성능평가)

  • In this study, performance of HFC32/HFC152a mixture is measured in the composition range of 20 to 50% R32 with an interval of 10% for the comparison with the conventional HCFC22 in water-source heat pumps. Tests are carried out under the same capacity in a heat pump bench tester equipped with a variable speed compressor at the evaporation and condensation temperatures of 7/$45^{\circ}C$ and -7/$41^{\circ}C$ for summer and winter conditions, respectively. Test results show that the compressor power of the HFC32/HFC152a mixture is 13.7% lower than that of HCFC22 while the coefficient of performance(COP) the HFC32/HFC152a mixture is 15.8% higher than that of HCFC22. Hence, from the view point of energy efficiency, the HFC32/HFC152a mixture is excellent as compared to HCFC22. Compressor discharge temperatures of HFC32/HFC152a mixture are increased up to $15.4^{\circ}C$ as compared to that of HCFC22. The amount of charge for HFC32/HFC152 mixture decrease up to 27% as compared to that of HCFC22. Overall, HFC32/ HFC152a mixture is an excellent long term candidate to replace HCFC22 in water-source heat pumps.

Convergent Investigation with Internal Flow Analysis According to the Opening and Closing of Vehicle Window (차량 창문 개폐에 따른 내부에서의 유동 해석으로의 융합적 고찰)

  • In this study, the pleasant driving environment of the driver and passenger in the summer was investigated through the internal flow analysis of air due to the opening and closing of the car windows. The conditions on the entrance of the air conditioner with the opening and closing status of vehicle window were applied to the flow analysis by taking into consideration the actual driving environment. The automotive air conditioning outlet, the seat and the inside of car were modeled. As the air flow inside the car was analyzed, the air flow configuration and the temperature distribution were examined. In this analysis, the results were taken in consideration of only the effects of internal air and the opening and closing of window, assuming the interior of the vehicle as insulation. The analysis of each condition shows that these models maintain a pleasant environment. It is seen that this analysis result on the internal flow analysis according to the opening and closing of vehicle window can be applied by converging with the field of design.
