The purpose of this study was to review nursing ethics education program for nursing students in Korea. An integrative literature review was applied as a research method, and the study was conducted according to five steps of problem identification, literature search, data evaluation, data analysis, and presentation. Twelve studies were analyzed, and the educational content was about biomedical ethics and nursing ethics, and most of them were through subject classes. Teaching methods included case-based debates, discussions, action learning, online learning, and problem-based learning, including traditional lectures. Through education programs, there was a significant increase in biomedical ethics, ethical values, moral judgment, and moral sensitivity. Progressive and continuous nursing ethics education for nursing college students is required within the curriculum.

본 논문에서는 Web Lecture script를 정의하고 이를 효과적으로 운영하기 위한 Java Web Server를 설계 구현하였다. Web Lecture Script란 강의록, 문제출제, 문제 평가, 숙제 제출, 자료실, 토론방 등의 가상 대학 환경을 편리하게 구축하기 위해서 데이터베이스 및 파일의 접근을 Web 환경의 script막을 사통하여 구현할 수 있도록 정의한 것이다. Lecture시스템은 사용자에게 정형화된 포맷이 많이 쓰이기 때문에 script로 정형화된 형태의 인터페이스가 적합하며, 실제적인 구현이 Jaya로 이루어지기 때문에 확장의 범위가 크다. Web Server는 이러한 Lecture Script를 사용자에게 제공하기 위한 Script Engine을 포함하고 있어야 하는데, 이러한 Script Engine이 Web Server라 어떻게 상호작용 하는가에 따라 성능이 좌우된다. 상호 작용하는 방법에는 Script Engine이 Web Server 자체에 포함될 경우, 독립적인 프로세서를 띄워서 처리하는 방법 스크립트만을 처리하는 별도의 서버를 두어 처리를 전환하는 방법이 있다. 따라서 Lecture Script 처리 Engine은 여러 방법으로 구현하고 성능을 비교하여 보다 효과적인 서버를 제안하고자 한다.

World Health Organization reveals its plan for listing 'Gaming Disorder' on the 11th International Disease Codes (ICD-11) in 2018 and it opens hot debate among scholars on its validity and timeliness. Korea, however, seems to have avoided the issue without appropriate academic refutation. In this paper, we review past academic studies related to game addiction or disorder focused on their validity of disorder measurement tools, research designs and the effect of neuroimaging studies. This analysis reveals that excessive use of gaming is not sufficient to register it as a disease and there is a risk of stigmatizing healthy gamers.

The present study aims at encouraging discussion on research paradigms as well as research methodologies of records and archives studies. Reviewing research paradigms, defined by Guba and Lincoln based on basic beliefs, leads to the suggestion that the discipline needs to reach to a certain degree of consensus on ontological, epistemological, and methodological premises in order to inform and guide future research. To make the argument, the present study reviews all research papers published in two major journals: the Korean Journal of Archival Studies and Journal of Korean Society of Archives and Records Management, from 2007 to 2016. It then identifies 80 research papers from positivistic research and reviews 32 papers, which collected data through surveys and experiments.

The optimal threshold estimation is considered in order to discriminate the mixture distribution in the fields of Biostatistics and credit evaluation. There exists well-known various accuracy measures that examine the discriminant power. Recently, Matthews correlation coefficient and the F1 statistic were studied to estimate optimal thresholds. In this study, we explore whether these accuracy measures are appropriate for the optimal threshold to discriminate the mixture distribution. It is found that some accuracy measures that depend on the sample size are not appropriate when two sample sizes are much different. Moreover, an alternative method for finding the optimal threshold is proposed using the correlation coefficient that defines the ratio of the confusion matrix, and the usefulness and utility of this method are also discusses.

통합교육의 실시와 다문화 가정의 자녀 증가 등으로 학교 교실의 구성원들이 다양화 되고 있다. 그러나 제한적인 매체와 전통적인 교육과정, 교수방법 및 평가 등의 사용으로 학습자들의 다양성을 고려되지 못하고 있다. 본 연구는 디지털화 교수매체의 활용함으로써 다양한 학습자들의 정보에 대한 접근성을 보장해 주고 나아가 교육현장에서 보편적 학습설계(Universal Design for Learning: UDL)를 적용하여 학습자의 다양성을 보장하는데 그 목적을 둔다. 교육현장에 UDL 적용에 대한 예비교사와 현직교사의 그룹 토론을 통해, UDL의 적용가능성과 적용함에 있어서 어려움을 알아보았다. 그 결과, 정해진 교육과정과 교재, 다양한 학습자에 대한 교사의 전문성 부족, 학생들 간의 학습 차이, 학급당 많은 학생수, 교사의 많은 업무량 등 여러 가지 문제점으로 UDL 적용이 어렵다고 하였다. 해결방안으로 교수설계에 UDL의 적용과 다양한 디지털화 교수매체의 활용으로 접근성 보장을 제안하였다. 교육현장에서의 UDL 확대와 다양한 학습자들의 접근성이 보장된 교육을 할 수 있도록 교사들이 수업에서의 UDL 적용 방안에 대해 제시하였다.

This study aims to develop an educational program of sport ethics which would enhance moral autonomy on the part of athletes. First, based on James Rest's Four Component Model of moral behavior, this study has analyzed prior studies and built educational contents. Then, it used dilemma discussions among peers for disequilibrium of cognitive structure. Last, this program has been tested and proven by college students who were thoroughly interviewed afterwards. After joining the program, the student-athletes showed a positive change of thought and action in relation to sport ethics. I hope that this study will contribute to enlarging the field of sport ethics education.

We developed the novel coursework of 'NIE community activity teaching-learning plan' in the unit of 'Clothing Life' of the 7th 'Technology-Home Economics' curriculum and applied it to classes in the middle school. The educational themes of 'Textile and Cloth', 'Purchase, Usage and Storage of Clothes', 'Laundry of Clothes', Recycling and Disposal of Clothes' were extracted from ten kinds of textbooks. And eight lessons of NIE community activity teaching-learning plan were developed. Ninety-seven students at second grade in 3 classes of the middle school were randomly enrolled in this study. After learning, their environmental recognition and educational interest and attitude on the class of NIE community activity were investigated. The general environmental recognition of most students was improved via NIE community activity, which is emphasizing on the analysis of articles of newspapers, the critical and creative thinking, and the mutual discussion. The environmental recognition related to 'Textile and Cloth', 'Purchase, Usage and Storage of Clothes', 'Laundry of Clothes', Recycling and Disposal of Clothes' was significantly improved. Educational interest and attitude on the class of NIE community activity were also improved of great significance. The novel contents and methods of NIE community activity were evaluated to help students understand the class better and enhance their environmental recognition higher. With these results, NIE community activity teaching-learning plan might not only improve the educational interest and attitude, but also enhance the environmental recognition of the students.

Among others, ROC and CAP curves are used to explore the discriminatory power between the defaults and non-defaults, based on the distribution of the probability of default in credit rating works. ROC and CAP curves are plotted in terms of various ratios of the probability of default. Each point on ROC and CAP curves is calculated according to cutting points (scores) for classifying between defaults and non-defaults. In this paper, adjusted ROC and CAP curves are proposed by using functions of ratios of the probability of default. It is possible to recognize the score corresponding to a point oil these adjusted curves, and we can identify the best score to show the optimal discriminatory power. Moreover, we discuss the relationships between the best score obtained from the adjusted ROC and CAP curves and the score corresponding to Kolmogorov - Smirnov statistic to test the homogeneous distribution functions of the defaults and non-defaults.

We present a framework for 3D hand gesture design and modeling. We adapted two different pattern matching techniques, Dynamic Time Warping (DTW) and Hidden Markov Models (HMMs), to support the registration and evaluation of 3D hand gestures as well as their recognition. One key ingredient of our framework is a concept for the convenient gesture design and registration using HMMs. DTW is used to recognize hand gestures with a limited training data, and evaluate how the performed gesture is similar to its template gesture. We facilitate the use of visual sensors and body sensors for capturing both locative and inertial gesture information. In our experimental evaluation, we designed 18 example hand gestures and analyzed the performance of recognition methods and gesture features under various conditions. We discuss the variability between users in gesture performance.
