Existing XML editors, which are usually tree-based, require knowledge on the XML from users. But this requirement should be removed in order for any user to create XML documents easily. In this paper, we developed a new XML editor which provides both the usual tree-based interface and the form-based interface derided from the original document. Editing XML documents through forms will be especially effective in the places such as enterprise or municipal office where a large amount of documents of same format need to be generated. Forms, which are HTML documents, are generated automatically through the XSLT using both template XML document and XSL document, and displayed on the built-in HTML browser. When a form is filled out by user, it will he transformed into its corresponding XML document and stored into the XML repository.

With the wide spread of XML data in various fields, the interest in developing convenient user interfaces for inputting XML data is increasing. Previous works on the automated generation of user interfaces have given insufficient supports for various user environments and inconvenient editing tools for complex documents. In this paper, we presents an approach to generate XForms based user interfaces from XML schemas, for inputting XML data. The proposed method consists of three steps: parsing XML schemas, generating XForms codes, and embedding it into host language documents. Specifically, to generate XFonns codes, the rules for generating XForms codes, which support complex types and map simple types to appropriate input controls, are proposed. Experimental results with various kind of schemas show that the proposed method can generate XForms interfaces successfully.

최근 E-Business가 활성화됨에 따라 고객의 특성을 파악해서 고객 개인의 관심에 부합되는 개인화 된 정보나 서비스를 제공할 것이 요구되고 있다. 무선 인터넷을 이용한 서비스가 증가하고 있지만 대부분의 서비스 시스템들은 사용자 개인의 성향은 고려하지 않고 모든 사용자에게 획일적인 서비스를 제공한다. 무선 환경일수록 이러한 무분별한 광고는 오히려 고객의 만족도를 감소시킬 수 있다. 따라서 각각의 고객에게 취향과 관심 분야에 따른 차별화 된 서비스가 필요하다. 기존의 e-mail 시스템들은 모든 사용자들에게 단지 질의한 응답만을 제공하거나 똑같은 광고성 메일을 전달한다. 즉, 개인의 성향은 고려하지 않은 응답 결과를 보여주었다. 이에 본 논문에서는 휴대하기 편리한 이동 단말기의 특성을 이용하여 시,공간적 제약을 극복하고 작은 단말기 액정화면을 통해 정보를 일일이 검색해야 하는 번거로움을 덜어줄 수 있는 XML 기반의 무선단말기용 맞춤 서비스 시스템을 설계하였다. 이를 위해 e-mail 헤더 정보를 이용하여 사용자별로 분류하였고 텍스트마이닝 기법을 적용해 추출된 토픽과 사용자 프로파일 정보를 통해 예측된 사용자의 관심분야에 따른 카테고리를 계산하여 템플릿에 매정함으로써 맞춤 서비스를 제공하는 시스템을 설계한다. 이로 인해 무선에서 제공하는 서비스의 질을 향상시키고 사용자에게 편리함과 흥미를 유발할 수 있다.

In this paper, we present stereoscopic conversion based on movie shot information. To overcome the low stereoscopic quality of automatic stereo conversion technologies, the usage of the shot type is expected to provide more satisfactory stereoscopic perception. In general, movie clips are produced with a variety of shot techniques such as long shot, closeup shot, medium shot, etc. Each shot has its own characteristics that can be utilized during the conversion process. Furthermore, description sceme for shot and camera information is presented in XML. XML shot editor generates XML shot data. and conversion module parses such data and converts 2D image into stereoscopic image.

This paper presents details of the design and implementation of a report generator, Moonlight, which supports to design the report form from DB or data sources and print it to the printer. Also this paper defines the detailed model of the report system, the architecture and behavior of MoonLight, and the components of the report form, and also shows algorithms to make the report template and print the report bound to the data source. Moonlight takes advantage of XML language for the report template form. And also it is implemented by Jana language to take the advantage of platform independency. This paper also shows the results of run-time performance of Moonlight which is measured with the time to construct page objects of a report and the time to render the page objects to the print images, respectively.

디지털 방송 환경의 메타데이타 서비스 중에서도 가장 혁신적인 것이 하이라이트(highlight)메타데이타 서비스이다. 하이라이트 메타데이타를 생성하기 위해서 시각율동을 이용한 샷경계 검출 알고리즘을 사용해 스포츠 경기의 하이라이트 시간구간을 결정하고, 하이라이트 표시기에서 하이라이트를 설명하는 간단한 주제어를 부가한다. 그리고 하이라이트 템플릿을 이용해 계층구조를 생성하고 하이라이트에 부가된 하이라이트 주제어에 따라 계층 구조의 적절한 위치에 삽입하고. 하이라이트 계층구조는 MPEG-7 표준 스키마에 따라 xml로 서술한다 하이라이트 메타데이타 서비스를 받는 시청자들은 매우 짧은 시간에 이미 방영된 스포츠 경기의 중요 장면들을 모두 볼 수 있다.

유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경이 확대됨에 따라, 기존의 키보드와 마우스만을 사용자 인터페이스로 주로 사용했던 방법에서 벗어나 좀 더 사용자 중심의 멀티모달 유저 인터페이스 적응이 요구되고 있다. 이에 XHTML+Voice는 음성 및 시각을 모두 제공할 수 있는 새로운 서비스 패러다임으로서 기존의 음성정보만을 제공하거나 시각적인 정보만을 제공하는 시스템과는 달리 XHTML내에 VoiceXML을 삽입함으로써 두 언어의 장점을 모두 활용할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 VoiceXML의 이러한 장점을 살려 스마트 홈을 구성하는 여러 가전기기들의 인터페이스를 미리 템플릿으로 만들어 두어 모바일 디바이스를 통해 이것들을 제어하는 시나리오를 제안하고 구현하는 방법에 대해 실험하였다.

SMIL is a declarative markup language based on XML, which enables users to make effective multimedia presentations on the web by synchronizing media objects. In this paper, we design and implement a SMIL authoring tool which support Intuitive creation of web multimedia documents and diverse practical use of created information. Besides, creation, management and authoring module of SMIL document, it offers template interface depending on network bandwidth selection for general users to create multimedia presentation a convenient way. In addition, we implement SMIL document management facility for a large number of users, by connecting SMIL contents database sever.

Currently most Internet documents including news data are made based on predefined templates, but templates are usually formed only for main data and are not helpful for information retrieval against indexes, advertisements, header data etc. Templates in such forms are not appropriate when Internet documents are used as data for information retrieval. In order to process Internet documents in various areas of information retrieval, it is necessary to detect additional information such as advertisements and page indexes. Thus this study proposes a method of detecting the layout of web pages by identifying the characteristics and structure of block tags that affect the layout of web pages and calculating distances between web pages. As a result of experiment, we can successfully extract 640 documents from 1000 samples and obtain 64% recall rate. This method is purposed to reduce the cost of web document automatic processing and improve its efficiency through applying the method to document preprocessing of information retrieval such as data extraction and document summarization.

It is difficult to merge text document and to remake use of documents on the most collaborative document authoring system using text document, and also to provide the storage place for saving and keeping documents. It has vulnerable drawbacks about the security though it provides the accessible abilities due to basing it on Web. In this paper, we design and implementation the collaborative document authoring system for XML document to improve a couple of problems on these systems. For these, we based on the DOM to manipulate the modeling object documents and utilized RMI on this system without considering socket communication when it transmits and receives Java objects. We improved the security through processes of authentication. By providing templates and editing functions such as annotation, visualization of document structures, we made easier making collaborative document authoring more than ever.
