본 연구에서는 비접촉 축진동측정시 발생되는 오차에 대하여 검토하고자 한다. from the studies, the origin of ${\alpha}$$_1$peak was attributed to the detrapping process form trap with 2.88[eV] deep of injected space charge from the chathode in the crystaline regions. The origin of ${\alpha}$$_2$ peak was regarded as the detrapping process of ions trapped with 0.9[eV] deep originated from impurity-ion remained in the specimen during production process of the material, in the crystalline regions. The origin of ${\beta}$ peak was concluded to be due to the depolarization process of "C=0"dipole with the activation energy of 0.75[eV] in the amorphous regions. The origin of ${\gamma}$ peak was responsible to the process combined with the depolarization of "CH$_3$", chain segment, with the activation energy of carriers from the shallow trap with 0.

  • The Smart UAV must have the control characteristics of propulsion system necessary for both rotary aircraft and fixed wing aircraft though it equips turbo-shaft engine. To develop an electronic engine controller in the future, it is necessary to accumulate the experience of engine operation and data of tilt rotor aircraft. For this purpose, the computer programs which predict engine performance in the steady state and transient state can be utilized for the supplementation of flight test data. In this work, we developed a dynamic analysis program using engine performance data gathered during the flight tests. In addition the accuracy of the program was verified through comparison with flight test data and the results of steady-state performance analysis program.

  • The present paper describes transient thermal and mechanical analyses of a lox/kerosene type turbopump in a LRE(Liquid Rocket Engine). Turbopumps are used to pressurize propellants to achieve higher specific impulse of LRE. The turbopump under development has been designed and verified by structural analyses using finite element methods. Some parts of the turbopump operate under cryogenic environments, while the others work under ambient and high temperature environments. Therefore, numerical analysis at a turbopump system level is essential. In this study, casing assemblies of lox pump and fuel pump were analyzed to determine strength test and air-tightness test conditions. Also, some operational stress and strains of fuel pump casings were measured and analyzed. Based on these results, stress concentration of fuel pump casings during the operation could be successfully predicted.

  • In this study, Support Vector Machine(SVM) and Artificial Neural Network(ANN) are used for developing the defect diagnostic algorithm of the aircraft turbo-shaft engine. Effect of altitude variation on the Defect Diagnostics algorithm has been included and evaluated. Separate learning Algorithm(SLA) suggested with ANN to loam the performance data selectively after classifying the position of defects by SVM improves the classification speed and accuracy.

  • In this study, the GSP and in-house numerical codes have been used for analyses of the on-design, static off-design and dynamic off-design performances. Through the various missions including altitude, velocity, and power variations static engine performance have been investigated. The dynamic engine performances based on these complicated variations have been also analysed. Especially, the power, engine rpm and heat overload characteristics of a turbine have been estimated with the response time through the control of a throttle setting rather than a power setting. It could be applied to the FADEC system as an engine control device.

  • Development of an accurate infrared signature (IR) measurement system is expected to contribute in the development of low observable technology and the spectroscopic analysis of electromagnetic radiation. Application of a spectroradiometer (SR) allows for the measurement of detailed infrared signature from the exhaust plume due to its own heat source. Establishment of a measurement system using a micro-turbo engine is intended to simulate the modelling of the aircraft plume. The engine was installed on a test stand to measure the engine performance. The IR signature was measured by placing the SR perpendicular to the axis line of the exhaust plume. Reference data from the blackbody were also measured to calibrate the raw data, and the infrared signature of the background was also measured for comparison with that of the plume. The calibrated spectral radiance was obtained through the data reduction process and the results were analyzed in specific bands. The experiments revealed that the measurement system established here showed sufficient performance for further comprehensive analysis.

  • A velocity-compounded(VC) turbine of the 75ton turbopump was developed as an improved performance backup for a single-rotor base-line turbine. Curvic coupling was used for the connection between rotors and shaft. High temperature torsion test and spin test was performed for the curvic coupling design validation. Aerodynamic performance test revealed that the developed VC turbine can generate 20.5% higher specific power than the base-line turbine. It has been measured that $1^{st}$ rotor of the subject turbine generates 74.1% of total power at design operating condition.

  • Automotive turbochargers have become common in gasoline engines as well as diesel engines. They are excellent devices to effectively increase fuel efficiency and power of the engines, but they unfortunately cause several noise problems. The noises are classified into mechanical noises induced from movement of a rotating shaft and aerodynamic noises by air flow in turbochargers. In addition to, there is a mechanical noise caused from movement of an actuator, electronically controlling a wastegate valve. It is called as valve rattle noise. The actuator is connected to a valve through a linkage. The noise occurs only if the valve is open, where the linkage is freely contact to neighbor structures without being constrained by any external forces. This condition allows impacts by the pulsation of exhaust gas, and the vibration from the impacts spreads out through turbine housing, causing the rattle noise. The noise is not in mechanical operating wastegate turbochargers because the linkage of an actuator is strongly connected by actuating force. For the electronic wastegate turbocharger, this paper proposed a test device to show the noise generating mechanism with a small vibration motor having an unbalanced shaft. It also shows how to reduce the noise - reduction of linkage clearances, inserting wave washers into a connection, and applying loose fitting in bushing embracing a valve lever to turbine housing.

  • A rotordynamic analysis is performed for a high thrust class liquid rocket engine turbopump considering the dynamic characteristics of ball bearings and pump noncontact seals. Complex eigenvalue problems are solved to predict the rotating natural frequencies and damping ratios as a function of rotating speeds. Synchronous rotor mass unbalance response and time transient response analyses are also performed to figure out the rotor critical speed and the onset speed of instability. From the numerical analysis, it is found that the rear bearing stiffness is most important parameter for the critical speed and instability because the 1st mode is turbine side shaft bending mode. The pump seal effect on the critical speed is enlarged as the rear bearing stiffness decreases and the front bearing stiffness increases.
