해양 퇴적물 내 납의 흡/탈착 거동

  • 일반적으로 유기오염 물질의 경우 sequestration 또는 aging 현상에 의해 탈착저항성을 띠게 되는 것으로 알려져 있다. 그러나 중금속의 경우 흡/탈착반응은 탈착저항성이 없는 가역적 반응이라는 보고가 있는 반면 홉/탈착 반응은 비가역적이며 탈착저항성이 존재한다는 보고도 있다. 본 연구에서는 해양 연안 퇴적물에 대한 납의 흡/탈착 실험을 통하여 탈착 저항성을 화인하고 연속추출 실험을 수행함으로써 탈착 저항성 부분의 크기를 규명하고자 하였다. 그리고 각기 다른 pH(4, 6)에서 흡착 실험을 수행함으로써 pH에 따른 흡착친화도를 규명하였다. 그 결과 퇴적물에 대한 납의 흡착량은 높은 pH(6)에서 더 많았고, 각 pH 범위에서 납은 탈착저항성을 가지는 것으로 나타났으며, 연속추출결과 Organic Material bound부분에 66% 정도가 흡착되어 있음을 알 수 있었다.

  • 오염 퇴적물내 중금속의 방출과 이에 따른 생이용성(bioavalability)은 기존의 가역 평형관계로써 설명하기에 불충분한 것으로 알려져 있다. 최근 연구결과에 의하면 이러한 탈착 저항성을 설명하기 위한 비가역적 모델에 의해 퇴적물내 중금속의 탈착저항성 부분이 존재함이 밝혀졌다. 탈착저항성에 대해서는 아직 충분한 규명이 이루어지지 않았으나, 오염물질의 노화(aging)에 의해 일단 탈착저항성을 띠게 되면 생이용성(bioavailability)이 감소되는 것으로 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 노화(aging)가 연안 퇴적물 내 납과 카드뮴의 흡/탈착 특성에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 연속 탈착실험과 biphasic 탈착모델을 적용함으로써 납과 카드뮴의 탈착저항성을 규명하고자 하였다. 그리고 연속 추출 실험을 통해서 노화(aging)에 따른 퇴적물 내 납과 카드뮴의 흡착 기작을 규명하고자 하였다. 연속탈착 실험 결과 시간이 경과함에 따라 탈착저항성부분의 크기가 증가하였으며, 연속추출 실험 결과 납의 경우 carbonate fraction에서 추출된 납이 가장 많았으며, 노화(aging) 따라 exchangeable fraction에서 추출된 납이 감소하는 반면 reducible, organic material, residual fraction에서 추출된 납의 양이 증가하였다. 카드뮴의 경우 가장 많은 양이 추출된 단계는 exchangeable fraction이였으며, organic material fraction에서는 카드뮴이 추출되지 않았다. 노화(aging) 따라 reducible fraction과 residual fraction에서의 추출량이 증가하는 경향을 보였으나 그 양은 매우 적은 것으로 나타났으며, 노화(aging)에 따른 exchangeable fraction과 carbonate fraction에서의 추출량은 큰 변화가 없었다. 대해서는 북한지역의 분포상황을 밝혔다.것을 알 수 있었으며, 크롬과 비소의 경우는 초기에 많이 용출되고, 구리의 경우는 꾸준히 용출되는 것을 알 수 있었다. 3년 된 통나무집이 8년 된 통나무집보다. 용출양이 더 컸으며, 이는 CCA성분이 초기에 많이 용출된다는 것을 의미한다. 억제 효과를 나타내었고 Hep3B에서는 부탄을 분획물 (1 mg/mL)에서 82%의 비교적 높은 성장억제효과를 나타내었다.as a "front" and "back".   • This study was conducted to investigate sorption and desorption behaviors of radionuclides (Cobalt and Strontium) in natural soil. Sorption kinetics and isotherms were analyzed to predict sorption behaviors of radionuclides in natural soil and the experimental data were fitted to several sorption models. Desorption experiments were also performed with or without CMCD at constant pH and ion strength conditions. The results showed that $Sr^{2+}$ was more strongly sorbed than $Co^{2+}$ in natural soil. Both $Co^{2+}$ and $Sr^{2+}$ followed a pseudo-second order kinetics and Sips model. The desorption-resistance of $Co^{2+}$ and $Sr^{2+}$ was estimated using a natural surfactant Carboxymethyl-${\beta}$-cyclodextrin(CMCD) or non-desorbing fraction. Desorption of radionuclides was partially irreversible and $Sr^{2+}$ was more resistant than $Co^{2+}$ Addition of CMCD facilitated desorption of $Co^{2+}$ and $Sr^{2+}$ from soil.

Electrical and Optical Properties According to Detachment and Bending of Carbon Nanotube-coated Transparent Tape (카본나노튜브 코팅된 투명 테이프의 탈착과 벤딩에 따른 전기 및 광학적인 특성)

  • Recently, electronic devices with bendable electronic devices based on flexible substrates are being sold, and therefore, the purpose of this study is to evaluate the possibility of flexible substrates of conductive transparent tapes. As a transparent electrode, carbon nanotube (CNT) was formed by the coating method developed by the research team, and samples coated up to 5 times were fabricated. The surface resistance and transmittance of the substrate were measured, and both resistance and transmittance decreased as the number of CNT coatings increased. After the tape was detached from the glass, the surface resistance slightly increased in all samples, and the transmittance increased by about 10% in all measured wavelength ranges because the glass was removed. Next, the tape coated with CNT twice was used to a bending test 20,000 times under the condition of a radius of curvature of 2 mm. The electrical and optical properties before and after bending did not change, which means that there was no change in CNT properties due to bending.

Enhancement of Phenanthrene Sorption Rate on Natural Manganese Oxide Using the Oxidative Coupling Reaction of Phenanthrene (천연망간산화물에 의한 클로로페놀의 산화결합생성물을 매개로 한 다환방향족화합물(PAH) 오염물의 고정화 효과)

  • The sorption/desorption characteristics of phenanthrene on the natural manganese oxide (NMD) were investigated in the presence of phenolic compounds. 4-chlorophenol (4-CP) was effectively oxidized by NMD catalyzed reaction and transformed into humic-like macromolecular compound through inter-or cross-coupling reaction between byproducts. As 4-CP was degraded with time, sorbed amount of phenanthrene on NMD was significantly increased, resulting from the formation of oxidative coupling products. These results imply that NMD can be used for simultaneous treatment of phenolic contaminants and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in soils, sediments, or water. Also, sorbed phenanthrene on NMD in the presence of 4-CP showed high degree of desorption resistance, indicating that sequestration process of phenanthrene was ongoing with time.

Scientific Feasibility on the Risk-Based Clean-up and Management of Contaminated Sites ("위해성" 개념을 이용한 오염지역 정화 및 관리의 과학적 타당성)

  • In the last decades, the decrease in biological or chemical availability of sorbed contaminants as contact time passed, is generally accepted. This phenomenon so called as "aging" or "sequestration" is known to directly affect risk of the contaminats. This was observed for mainly for hydrophobic organic contaminants (HOCs), but also reported for heavy metals. Aging is known to be directly related to sorption-desorption hysteresis, irreversible sorption, desorption-resistance, nonequilibrium sorption, etc. The decrease in bioavailability due to aging or sequestration indicates realistic decrease in risk potential. Recently a risk-based management concept by scientific evidences but not the simple measurement of contaminant concentration has been attempted to determine environmentally acceptable remedial endpoint. This is because selection of remedial endpoint based on not total concentration but the bioavailability and toxicity of contaminants can reduce both the treatment cost and remedial activities of the contaminated sites. The bioavailability and toxicity of the residual contaminants are highly affected by the fate and transport and also directly affect the exposure pathways and bioaccumulation of contaminants in the living biota. In this paper, scientific feasibility on the risk-based clean-up and management of contaminated sites is reviewed.

게이트 밸브 출고누설검사 시스템 설계

  • 게이트 밸브는 진공 시스템 구성에 있어서 빠질 수 없는 중요한 부품 중 하나로 공간을 구획하여 필요에 따라 자유롭게 진공 상태와 대기 개방 상태가 공존하도록 만들어 주며 진공펌프와 같은 주요 기기들의 탈착 및 교체를 용이하게 해 준다. 게이트 밸브는 열린 상태에서는 저항이 최소화되는 반면 닫힌 상태에서는 마치 마구리 플랜지로 막은 것처럼 완벽한 차단이 요구된다. 일반적으로 게이트 밸브 상용제품은 개스킷이 닿는 밸브 시트가 한쪽에만 마련되어 있으므로 디스크 기계구조가 충분한 압력을 발휘하지 못한다면 어느 쪽이 대기압인가에 따라 디스크를 미는 힘의 크기가 변하여 기밀특성이 달라질 수 있다. 따라서 게이트 밸브의 누설검사는 순방향과 역방향 모두에 대해 시행해야 한다. 양방향 누설검사를 위해 한쪽 밸브 공간을 배기하고 반대쪽 공간에 헬륨을 뿌리는 작업을 교대로 하려면 배기시간의 단축과 신속한 잔류 헬륨기체 제거가 필수적이다. 게이트 밸브 제조 공장에서 상품을 출하하기 위한 시험검사라는 것을 전제로 합리적인 시간 내에 정확한 누설검사를 일관성 있게 할 수 있는 적절한 누설검사 시스템을 설계하고 측정절차를 상용 게이트 밸브에 대해 적용해 보았다.

Isolation and Characterization of Kimchi Lactic Acid Bacteria Showing Anti-Helicobacter pylori Activity (Helicobacter pylori 억제능 김치 유산균의 분리와 특성 규명)

  • One bacterium, which showed strong antagonistic activity against H. pylori KCCM 41756, was isolated from kimchi. The strain NO1 was designated as Lactobacillus plantarum NO1 based on Gram staining, biochemical properties, and 16S rRNA gene sequencing. The culture medium $(2{\sim}4{\mu}g/ml)$ of Lb. plantarum NO1 reduced $(40{\sim}60%)$ the urease activity of H. pylori KCCM 41756. Lb. plantarum NO1 inhibited the binding of H. pylori to human gastric cancer cell line, AGS cells, by more than 33%. Lb. plantarum NO1 exhibited high viability (maintained initial viable cell count of $10^9CFU/ml$) in 0.05 M sodium phosphate buffer (pH 3.0) for 2 h, in artificial gastricjuice for 2 h and in 0.3%, 0.5% oxgall for 24 h. Hemolysis phenomena did not observed when Lb. plantarum NO1 was incubated in the blood agar media. We concluded that Lb. plantarum NO1 can be a good candidate as a probiotic, harboring anti-H. pylori activity.

A Study on the Modification of NH4+Y-zeolite for Improving Adsorption/Desorption Performance of Benzene (NH4+Y-zeolite의 개질을 통한 벤젠 흡·탈착 성능 증진 연구)

  • A.C (activated carbon) is mainly used to remove VOCs (volatile organic compounds), however, it has many problems such as fire risk due to increasing of adsorbent surface temperature during VOCs ad/desorption, increased cost by frequent replacement cycles requirement and performance degradation when containing moisture. In order to solve these problems, many researches, hydrophobic zeolite adsorbents, have been reported. In this study, $NH_4{^+}Y$-zeolite was synthesized with Y-zeolite through steam treatment and acid treatment, which is one of the hydrophobic modification methods, to secure high surface area, thermal stability and humidity resistance. The Y, Y-550-HN, Y-600-HN and Y-650-HN had adsorption capacities of $23mg\;g^{-1}$, $38mg\;g^{-1}$, $77mg\;g^{-1}$, $61mg\;g^{-1}$. The change of Si/Al ratio, which is an index to confirm the degree of modification, was confirmed by XRF (X-ray fluorescence spectrometer) analysis. As a result, the adsorbtion performance was improved when Y-zeolite modified, and the Si/Al ratio of Y, Y-550-HN, Y-600-HN, Y-650-HN were increased to 3.1765, 6.6706, 7.3079, and 7.4635, respectively. Whereas it was confirmed that structural crystallization due to high heat treatment temperature affected performance degradation. Therefore, there is an optimal heat treatment temperature of Y-zeolite, optimum modification condition study could be a substitute for activated carbon as a condition for producing an adsorbent having high durability and stability.

Mixed Carbon/Polypyrrole Electrodes Doped with 2-Naphthalenesulfonic Acid for Supercapacitor (2-Naphthalenesulfonic Acid로 도핑된 혼합카본/폴리피롤을 이용한 Supercapacitor용 전극)

  • New type of supercapacitor using high surface area activated carbons mixed with high conductivity polypyrrole (Ppy) has been prepared in order to achieve low impedance and high energy density. Mixed carbons of BP-20 and MSP-20 were used as the active electrode material, and polypyrrole doped with 2-naphthalenesulfonic acid (2-NSA) and carbon black (Super P) as conducting agents were added to activated carbons in order to enhance good electric conductivity. Electrodes prepared with the activated electrode materials and the conducting agents were added to a solution of organic binder [P(VdF-co-HFP) / NMP]. The ratio of optimum electrode composition was 78 : 17 : 5 wt.% of (MSP20 : BP-20=1 : 1), (Super P : Ppy=10 : 7) and P(VdF-co-HFP) respectively. The performance of unit cell with addition of 7 wt% Ppy have shown specific capacitance of 28.02 F/g, DC-ESR of $1.34{\Omega}$, AC-ESR of $0.36{\Omega}$, specific energy of 19.87 Wh/kg and specific power of 9.77 kW/kg. With addition of Ppy, quick charge-discharge of unit cell was possible because of low ESR, low charge transfer resistance and quick reaction rate. And good stability up to 500 chargedischarge cycles were retained about 80% of their original capacity. It was concluded that the specific capacitance originated highly from compound phenomena of the pseudocapacitance by oxidation-reduction of polypyrrole and the nonfaradaic capacitance by adsorption-desorption of activated carbons.
