  • 본 논문은 foraming층이 음파의 전달 특성에 미치는 영향 및 멘드릴형 광섬유 하이 드로폰의 광음향 감도 특성에 미치는 영향을 분석한 것이다. 유한 요소법을 이용하여 foaming층의 내부 구조에 따른 음파의 전달 특성을 분석하였고, AL(Aluminium)/foaming 및 Nylon/foaming 멘드릴(mandrel) 각각에 대하여 foaming층의 재질 및 두께 변화에 따른 광음향감도 변화를 분석하였다. 그 결과, foaming층 내의 구조변화의 영향을 무시할 수 있 었다. 또한 AL al cNylon층상 복합체인 멘드릴에서 foaming층의 탄성율이 낮을수록, 두께 가 증가할수록 공음향 감도는 증가하였다. 그러므로 1GPa 이하의 탄성율을 지닌 두꺼운 Foaming층을 사용하여 층상 복합체 멘드릴을 구성하는 것이 광음향 감도의 향상을 위하여 효율적이다.

  • Several design methods from overseas are employed without considering different conditions such as material properties, climate, and traffic condition in this country. Therefore, there are limitations in application. Therefore, new pavement analysis system which is able to design a pavement efficiently and economically should be set up. In this study, 243 probable sections are classified depending on values of layer thickness and elastic modulus, and the effect of load types for the probable sections are analyzed. The section showing larger load distribution is chosen for analysis. As a result of sensitivity, a layer thickness has more influence on pavement than an elastic modulus does. The stress distribution of FWD test load is larger than that of circular load. This study compares outputs between nonlinear elastic model and linear elastic model. Based on the result, this study finds nonlinear elastic model considering stress condition in the ground is recommended for subbase.

  • Seismic refraction and electrical resistivity surveys were conducted in Bangeosan Maaebul site located in Haman, Kyungnam, in order to present geophysical safety analysis method for masonry cultural properties. Seismic refraction exploration revealed that the ground was composed of three layers in term of seismic wave velocity; the upper, medium, and lower layers. The low velocity ranging from 308 to 366 m/sec in upper layer suggests weathered soil, the intermediate velocity from 1906 to 2090 m/sec in the medium layer indicates weathered rocks, and the high velocity from 5061 to 5650 m/sec in the lower layer implies extremely hard rocks. Our seismic result suggests that the upper and medium layer around the Maaebul should be reinforced to support the construct. The result of electric resistivity survey shows that there exists a low resistivity zone, ranging from 131 to 226 Ohm-m, at the right side of the Maaebul with the direction of NE-NNE. This area is the weakness zone as it plays role of the underground water passage in rainy season.

  • 광대역 표면 탄성파(Surface Acoustic Wave)를 이용하여 도파로 층의 빛을 특정 각도로 변조하여 편향 휴대용 홀로그램 디스플레이를 구현하기 위한 음향 광학(Acoustic-Optic) 장치를 개발했다. 개발된 시스템은 프리즘, 도파로층, 표면탄성파를 일으키는 IDT 및 스크린으로 구성된다. 도파로내에서 전파하는 빛은 표면탄성파에 에너지가 가해지지 않으면 도파로층의 진행중 경로 변화가 발생하지 않지만 표면 탄성파에 에너지를 가하면 빛의 편향된다. 큰 편향 각도와 고효율을 위해서 표면탄성파의 파워, 표면탄성파의 중심주파수, IDT aperture length, waveguide thickness 등을 조절하여 빛 편향각도 및 효율변화를 관찰하였다.

  • A backcalculation procedure to determine the layer moduli of flexible pavement structure is developed using matrix solution technique. Forward calculation computer program adopted in this backcalculation procedure is SINELA which is one of layered elastic computer programs. Data base system is used as a tool for setting initial seed moduli and depth to virtual bedrock in backcalculation procedure. The validity and applicability of the proposed backcalculation procedure are verified through various numerical model tests. From the results of comparison analysis with FPEDD1, it is found that the proposed procedure gives more efficient and accurate results.

  • 본 논문에서는 강풍대이면서 중/약진대에 위치하는 초고층건물에 내습할 수 있는 잠재적 지진에 대하여 다양한 지반조건에 따른 응답스펙트럼해석과 내진성능평가를 수행하였다. 국내와 같이 강풍대에 위치하면서 중약진대에 속하는 지진환경하에서 세장비 5.2이상의 초고층 철골대각가새골조는 10%/50년 재현주기 지진동에 대해서는 탄성저항가능성을 나타내었고 세장비 6.9이상의 초고층 철골대각가새골조는 2%/50년 재현주기 지진동에 대해서도 탄성적으로 저항할 수 있음을 보여주었다.

Development of a Model for Predicting Modulus on Asphalt Pavements Using FWD Deflection Basins (FWD 처짐곡선을 이용한 아스팔트 포장구조체의 탄성계수 추정 모형 개발)

  • A development of regression model for asphalt concrete pavements using Falling Weight Deflectometer deflections is presented in this paper. A backcalculation program based on layered elastic theory was used to generate the synthetic modulus database, which was used to generate 95% confidence intervals of modulus in each layer. Using deflection basins of FWD data used in developing this procedure were collected from Pavement Management System in flexible pavements. Assumptions of back-calculation are that one is 3 layered flexible pavement structure and another is depth to bedrock is finite. It is found that difference of between 95% confidence intervals and modulus ranges of other papers does not exist. So, the data of 95% confidence intervals in each layer was used to develop multiple regression models. Multiple regression equations of each layer were established by SPSS, package of Statics analysis. These models were proved by regression diagnostics, which include case analysis, multi-collinearity analysis, influence diagnostics and analysis of variance. And these models have higher degree of coefficient of determination than 0.75. So this models were applied to predict modulus of domestic asphalt concrete pavement at FWD field test.

  • An inverse self-iterative procedure is developed to estimate layer moduli and stresses in cement concrete pavement systems from the falling weight deflectometer deflection basins. The existing concrete pavement highways are analyzed using coupled analysis procedure of finite element and layer elastic theory for models obtained through factorial design, from which the characteristics of deflection basins are studied and the empirical equations are proposed for the estimation of layer moduli. The empirical equations are used to assume initial moduli, and the relations between the rate of change of moduli and deflections are used in the self-iterative procedure to ensure accuracy of moduli. The developed computer program of this procedure is verified through various numerical model tests.

  • According to analyses of high-resolution seismic profiles (air gun, sparker, and SBP) and a deep-drill core(YSDP 105) in the mid-eastern Yellow Sea, stratigraphic and geoacoustic models have been established and seismo-acoustic modeling has been fulfilled using ray tracing of finite element method. Stratigraphic model reflects seismo-, litho-, and chrono-stratigraphic sequences formed under a significant influence of Quaternary glacio-eustatic sea-level fluctuations. Each sequence consists of terrestrial to very-shallow-marine coarse-grained lowstand systems tract and tidal fine-grained transgressive to highstand systems tract. Based on mean grain-size data (121 samples) of the drill core, bulk density and P-wave velocity of depositional units have been inferred and extrapolated down to a depth of the recovery using the Hamilton's regression equations. As goo-acoustic parameters, the 121 pairs of bulk density and P-wave velocity have been averaged on each unit of the stratigraphic model. As a result of computer ray-tracing simulation of the subsurface strata, we have found that there are complex ray paths and many acoustic-shadow zones owing to the presence of irregular layer boundaries and low-velocity layers.
