자동차 타이어의 최대의 특질은 공기라고 하는 천연의 기체를 충분히 활용하고 있는 점이다. 이 공기를 밖으로 누출함이 없이 수 10톤으로부터 수 100톤에나 달하는 중량물을 지탱하고 또한 시속 수 100km로 주파한다고 하는 마술에 가까운 묘기는 유독 타이어 만으로 이룩하고 있는 것은 아니고 갖가지 관련기술과의 공동의 연구 위에서 성립되어 있는 것이다. 그래서 금번은 타이어의 공기조정자로서 타이어와 함께 걸어온 타이어 발브와 발브코어를 취급해본다. 공기입 타이어의 발명은 상당히 옛날의 일이다. 그때 이미 타이어발브는 하차용으로서 존재하고 있었든 것 같다. 또 일본의 자동차발흥기에는 발브의 전부를 수입에 의존했다고 한다. 이것이 태평양공업주식회사이다. 하나 자동차와 함께 타이어의 진보도 눈부시다. 물론 그 그늘에 발브의 진보가 있었는 것도 간과할 수 없다. 특히 튜우브레스는 ……이다. 또한 타이어의 진보는 금후 더욱 가혹한 요구를 발브에도 요구하고 있는 중이다. -이에도 발브는 발브기술로서 충분히 부응할 용의가 있다고 한다…….

미국의 자동차용 튜브 수요동향을 보면 ,트럭ㆍ버스용 및 승용차용 튜브는 감소현상을 나타내고 있으나 농경용 및 산업용 튜브의 수요는 점차 증가되고 있는 현상이다. 이와같은 경향은 Tubeless 타이어의 영향이 큰 것으로 해석된다. 최근 미국의 튜브수입 각국 점유율은 한국산 튜브의 점유율이 급증하고 있다고 한다. 앞으로는 농경용 및 산업용 튜브 수요가 더욱 증가될 것으로 예상되므로 농경용ㆍ산업용 튜브 수출에 한층 더 노력함으로써 좋은 결과를 얻을 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

In domestic replacement tire market, imported tires are increasing condinuously. Because there is no institute officially investigating tire safety and performance, domestic drivers can be exposed to defective tires with no regulations. In this study we performed investigation of replacement tire market status and amount of imported tires. Over $90\%$ of imported tires are for passenger car and the number of total imported tires is increasing in recent years. Low price tires imported from Southeast Asia and China are selected to evaluate quality level. Basic inspection, indoor test, outdoor test, material test are conducted to evaluate the selected tires and compared with tires of domestic maker. From test results quality level of the selected tires could be found.

합성고무의 주원료인 Butadiene-Naphtha-원유에 대해서는 1973년의 석유위기 이후, 작년말 이란 혁명을 계기로 재차 어려운 국면을 맞이하게 되었다. 그 동안 OPEC의 원유가격의 대폭인상 결정, 동경 Summit에서의 선진국들의 석유 수입제한목표의 설정 등 세계경제의 동향에 큰 영향을 미치는 결정 등이 계속 나와 석유 및 석유화학제품의 수급구조도 크게 변화될 것으로 보인다. 그 과정에 있어서, 고무원료의 장기수급 동향을 정확히 확정하기에는 매우 어려운 일이나 합성고무와 천연고무의 현상태를 분석하여 앞으로의 전망에 대해서 각종자료를 바탕으로 검토해보고자 한다. <편집자주>

미국, 유럽에서는 315MHz, 433.92MHz를 아마추어 무선국과 공유하여 차량용 주파수로 활용하고 있다. 참고로, 미국 고속도로 안전위원회는 TPMS(Tire Pressure Monitoring System)를 2003${\sim}$2006년 까지 미국 내 생산 차량 및 수입차량에 대해 TPMS 센서 장착을 100% 의무 적용하고 있다. 433.92MHz는 국내에서 이미 아마추어 무선 업무용 주파수로 할당되어 사용되고 있으며, 현재 TPMS 수입차량의 국내 도입을 위한 주파수 분배 및 기술 기준이 마련되어 있지 않은 상황이다. 향후 해외 수입차량의 국내 도입 및 국내 차량의 해외 수출을 고려할 경우 국제 기준에 부합하면서 국내 전파환경에 적합한 주파수 분배 및 기술 기준의 마련이 필요하다.

Nitrogen charging trailer applied to KUH-1 is a device to charge Nitrogen in main front wheel buffer, tail bumper buffer, brake accumulator and tire of aircraft. As the name suggests, it is a device that has mobility along with nitrogen charging. Originally supplied by Tronair in the United States, it was imported from Korea, and the locally developed product not only satisfies the performance of the existing product, but also designed to be easier than the product introduced in the operation. It was selected as the joint investment project of the 15th civilian government building, and development needs analysis and test evaluation were carried out under the support of development and management of Korea Aerospace Industries and Defense Agency for Technology and Quality.
