This simulation study examined the effect of data acquisition error including the data type of TEM image, and incident beam intensity of the tilt series on 3D tomograms. Simulation was performed with the 3D head phantom model of Kak and Slaney, and the slightly modified 3D head phantom model with enhanced difference in absorption coefficients. Reconstructed tomogram for the original head phantom model using 8-bit gray-scale image was distorted with extremely high level of noise, while an acceptable result was obtained for the modified model. The results for the original model using wrong formulation for the transmitted beam intensity was proved to be incorrect. The high level of noise along the z direction was found in case of the modified model. On the other hand, the wrong value of incident beam intensity in both models gave distorted results. In order to reconstruct an artifacts-free 3D structure from the projections with invisible features in electron tomography, the 16-bit projection images should be used with the correct incident beam intensity which is applied to Beer's law.
Since Gamma Knife(R) radiosurgery(GKRS) is based on a single-fraction high dose treatment strategy, independent verification for the results of Leksell GammaPlan(R) (LGP) is an important procedure in assuring patient safety and minimizing the risk of treatment errors. Several verification methods have been developed and reported previously. Thus these methods were tested statistically and tried on Leksell Gamma Knife(LGK) target treatments through the embodiment of the previously proposed algorithms(PPA). The purpose of this study was to apply and evaluate the accuracy of verification methods for LGK target treatments using PPA. In the study 10 patients with intracranial lesion treated by GKRS were included. We compared the data from PPA and LGP in terms of maximum dose, arbitrary point dose, and treatment time at the isocenter locations. All data were analyzed by Paired t-test, which is statistical method used to compare two different measurement techniques. No statistical significance in maximal dose at 10 cases was observed between PPA and LGP. Differences in average maximal dose ranged from -0.53 Gy to 3.71 Gy. The arbitrary point dose calculated by PPA and LGP was not statistically significant too. But we found out the statistical difference with p=0.021 between TMR and LGP for treatment time at the isocenter locations. PPA can be incorporated as part of a routine quality assurance(QA) procedure to minimize the chance of a wrong overdose. Statistical analyses demonstrated that PPA was in excellent agreement with LGP when considering the maximal dose and the arbitrary point dose for the best plan of GKRS. Due to the easy applicability we hope PPA can be widely used.
We investigate the spin dynamics of the magnetic domain wall using the magnetic noise in the magnetic nanowire structure by employing micromagnetic simulations. Magnetic noise due to the thermal fluctuations in ferromagnetic materials is related to magnetic susceptibility and resonance frequency, which are important physical quantities in the study of the spin dynamics. In this study, we present the magnetic noise of the single domain without magnetic domain wall, and with the magnetic domain wall between two magnetic domains in ferromagnetic nanowires. It is confirmed that the Kittel equation with simple ellipsoid model with demagnetizing factor well describe the resonance frequency due to magnetic noise of the single domain. Besides, we find that there is a distinguishable additional resonance frequency, when a magnetic domain wall exists. It is verified that the additional resonance frequency is originated from the magnetic domain wall, and it is lower than one of the single domain. It implies that the spins inside the domain wall have a different effective field.

A surface panel method treating a boundary-value problem of the Dirichlet type is presented to design a three dimensional body with free surface corresponding to a prescribed pressure distribution. An integral equation is derived from Green's theorem, giving a relation between total potential of known strength and the unknown local flux. Upon discretization, a system of linear simultaneous equations is formed including free surface boundary condition and is solved for an assumed geometry. The pseudo local flux, present due to the incorrect positioning of the assumed geometry, plays a role f the geometry corrector, with which the new geometry is computed for the next iteration. Sample designs for submerged spheroids and Wigley hull and carried out to demonstrate the stable convergence, the effectiveness and the robustness of the method. For the calculation of the wave resistance, normal dipoles and Rankine sources are distributed on the body surface and Rankine sources on the free surface. The free surface boundary condition is linearized with respect to the oncoming flow. Four-points upwind finite difference scheme is used to compute the free surface boundary condition. A hyperboloidal panel is adopted to represent the hull surface, which can compensate the defects of the low-order panel method. The design of a 5500TEU container carrier is performed with respect to reduction of the wave resistance. To reduce the wave resistance, calculated pressure on the hull surface is modified to have the lower fluctuation, and is applied as a Dirichlet type dynamic boundary condition on the hull surface. The designed hull form is verified to have the lower wave resistance than the initial one not only by computation but by experiment.
$\alpha$-Fe$_2$O$_3$ thin films were prepared on Si substrate by a pulsed laser deposition system and characterized by X-ray and Mossbauer spectroscopy. The appropriate conditions of pulsation was the power of 5.128 W/cm2 at on oxygen pressure of 0.1 Torr at a substrate temperature of 30$0^{\circ}C$. After that the film was heated at 80$0^{\circ}C$ for 1 day. The particles shape deposited on the film was ellipsoidal and the average length and width were 200~300 nm, 70~150 am respectively. The crystal structure was conformed to be of corundums symmetry with the hexagonal unit cell having a lattice constant of u = 5.03$\pm$0.05 $\AA$, c = 13.735$\pm$0.05 $\AA$. The average angles between the atomic spin and the magnetic hyperfine field of Fe ion were 38$^{\circ}$and 48$^{\circ}$ at above and blow the Morin transition temperature respectively. The Morin transition was found to occur at the temperature ranges from 200 K to room temperature and atomic spin direction was assumed to change from 48$^{\circ}$ to 80$^{\circ}$in respect to the c-axis.

This paper studied the effects of the content and the orientation of the disk shape fillers on the modulus of PP composites. The experimental results were compared with the theoretical calculations which included the three dimensional ellipsoids and analyzed by two aspect ratios, ${\rho}_{\alpha}=a_1/a_3$and ${\rho}_{\beta}=a_1/a_2$proposed by Lee and his researchers. Mica and talc were used as disk shape fillers in the composites. The shapes of mica and talc were observed by SEM and aspect ratios were statistically calculated. For the case of mica, the average aspect ratios were ${\rho}_{\alpha}=13.5$ and ${\rho}_{\beta}=1.8$, and for the case of talc, they were ${\rho}_{\alpha}=3.8$ and ${\rho}_{\beta}=1.4$. Also, the effects of two aspect ratios and the content of filler on the mechanical properties were studied: For 30 wt% of mica, $E_{11}$ increased up to about 2.7 times, and for the other case of talc, $E_{11}$ increased up to about 2.3 times, respectively.

The determination of precise geoid model for the Jeju island is needed to minimize the effect of different vertical datums. This study describes the development of gravimetric geoid model referred to GRS80 reference surface for the area of Jeju island. We used ECM96 up to degree and order 360 as a reference model and added the terrain and the residual gravity effects to the reference model. After then 17 GPS/Levelling data were used to correct the difference between the GPS/Levelling-derived geoid heights and gravimetric geoid heights. The least square collocation was applied to derive the correction and the grid values. The final precise geoid model(Jeju_GEOID07) that consist of $0.75'{\times}1'$(about $1.4km{\times}1.5km)$ grid interval was obtained in the region of $33^{\circ}{\sim}33.8^{\circ}N$ and $125.8^{\circ}{\sim}127.2^{\circ}E$. Concerning this works, the precise geoid for the Korean peninsula should be determined by integrating the different geoid developed for the peninsula and Jeju island. It is also need to integrate the vertical datum using long-term tide and GPS observations.

In this study, we developed a transfer learning framework based on homogenization data for efficient prediction of the effective mechanical properties and thermal conductivity of cellular foam structures. Mean-field homogenization (MFH) based on the Eshelby's tensor allows for efficient prediction of properties in porous structures including ellipsoidal inclusions, but accurately predicting the properties of cellular foam structures is challenging. On the other hand, finite element homogenization (FEH) is more accurate but comes with relatively high computational cost. In this paper, we propose a data-driven transfer learning framework that combines the advantages of mean-field homogenization and finite element homogenization. Specifically, we generate a large amount of mean-field homogenization data to build a pre-trained model, and then fine-tune it using a relatively small amount of finite element homogenization data. Numerical examples were conducted to validate the proposed framework and verify the accuracy of the analysis. The results of this study are expected to be applicable to the analysis of materials with various foam structures.

This study was conducted to comparatively assess quantitative indicating factor for biomineralization characterizing $CO_2$ mineralization on three type of minerals (i.e., $CaCl_2$, $MgCl_2$, $CaCl_2-MgCl_2$) in an aqueous solution amended with Bacillus pasteurii or indigenous microorganisms for a S landfill cover soil. For given three types of minerals, $NH_4{^+}$ (urease activity) was released at the highest of 88 mg/L for $MgCl_2$, then 85 mg/L for $CaCl_2$, and the lowest of 42 mg/L for $CaCl_2-MgCl_2$. $CO_2$ gas in the head space was completely removed after 12, 12, and 24 hr for $CaCl_2$, $MgCl_2$ and $CaCl_2-MgCl_2$, respectively. $Ca^{2+}$ concentration in $CaCl_2$ solution was the quickest and the greatest decreased 92% for 12 hr whereas that in $CaCl_2-MgCl_2$ solution was lower at 85% for 36 hr. $Mg^{2+}$ concentration in $MgCl_2$ was more efficiently decreased at 46% for 48 hr than that of $CaCl_2-MgCl_2$ solution of 38.5% for 72 hr. Regardless of types of minerals or their concentration, pH was changed from 5.5 to 9 by biomineralization being progressed. Microbial activity ($OD_{600}$) was also changed from 0 to 0.6. SEM images indicated that spheroidal and trapezoid shape crystal were formed, which were identified as of $CaCO_3$ (Calcite) and $MgCO_3$ (Magnesite) by X-ray diffraction. In the long run, $NH_4{^+}$ (urease activity), $CO_2$ gas, $OD_{600}$, pH, $Ca^{2+}$ and $Mg^{2+}$ would be suitable for reasonable indicating factor in order to assess the degree of biomineralization efficiency.

This paper suggests a new scalar multiplication algerian to resist SPA which threatens the security of cryptographic primitive on the hardware recently, and discusses how to apply this algerian Our algorithm is better than other SPA countermeasure algorithms aspect to computational efficiency. Since known SPA countermeasure algorithms have dependency of computation. these are difficult to construct parallel architecture efficiently. To solve this problem our algorithm removes dependency and computes a multiplication and a squaring during inversion with parallel architecture in order to minimize loss of performance. We implement hardware logic with VHDL(VHSIC Hardware Description Language) to verify performance. Synthesis tool is Synplify Pro 7.0 and target chip is Xillinx VirtexE XCV2000EFGl156. Total equivalent gate is 60,508 and maximum frequency is 30Mhz. Our scalar multiplier can be applied to digital signature, encryption and decryption, key exchange, etc. It is applied to a embedded-micom it protects SPA and provides efficient computation.
