  • 본 논문에서는 영상합성 방법들 중 하나인 로토스코핑에 대해서, 그 중 현장에서 수작업으로 수행되어온 키잉 작업의 단계별 과정을 살펴본 후 이들을 영상처리 알고리즘 등을 활용하여 반자동 혹은 자동화를 할 수 있는 방법을 모색해 본다.

  • In this paper we have compared three materials which are used for background chromakey in virtual studio. Each material reflects the illumination in different ways. In our experimental comparison, the 'chromatte' have the best quality in making good background image. Without predetermined light condition, chromatte provides wide range of adaptability.

A Study on Implementation of Powerline Carrier Modem using 5-ary Frequency Shift Keying Method (5-ary 주파수 천이 키잉 방식을 이용한 전력선 캐리어 모뎀 구현에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we use the 5-ary frequency shift keying method for robust powerline communication. To transmit the data by the 3-ary carrires among 5-ary carrirers and three carriers are 115kHz, 120kHz and 125kHz. Each time of three carrires is 0.33ms and total transmitting time duration from zero crossing point has 1ms. We use the dummy carriers which are 50kHz and 350kHz for monitoring the powerline channel state, dummy signal duration is received during 1ms. Experimentation result is shown that the implemented PLC transceiver has better than chirp transceiver at the capacitive load testing in spite of low transmission power.

  • Underwater acoustic communication channel is often defined as a multipath fading channel since the multipath arrivals from various paths interfere with each other and cause frequency dependent constructive or destructive interference in received signals. Therefore signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of received signal fluctuates as a function of frequency. In addition, sea surface fluctuation induces frequency dependent time variant signal fading due to coherent component variation of surface bounce path. The frequency shift keying (FSK) system is known to be less sensitive and more robust under these interference and fading, and M-ary frequency shift keying (MFSK) system is adopted to increase a data rate. In this study, a bit error rate (BER) of 4 channels 4FSK system are examined in shallow sea multipath channel. Experimental results show that RS code reduces efficiently the BER of 4FSK system since frequency dependent time-varying fading is characterized to give burst errors. The BER of a different data rate or different source-to-receiver range depends on not only the channel coherent bandwidth but also frequency dependent multipath fading.

  • The interrelation between abusive game designers and players are revealed and considered as one of the game arts by Miguel Sicart. This study is based on the frame analysis of Ervin Goffman. The player centered game design, in the case of a digital game, is penetrated into the frame, and player's experience and game frame at the same level can be assumed as positive down-keying. Conversely, confusion of the game is experienced by the players and perceptions about the games are required. The term of Miguel Sicart, generated the abusive game design in the view of the game art, considers both common game and design of the game, respectively. Nevertheless, the abusive game design refreshes the reflections of players in a game and presents possibilities of bridging the designs of standard games through the techniques and devices.

  • We propose a new M-ary state-transition FSK modulator technique for enhancing demodulator's symbol timing recovery which can be applied to acoustic MODEM. In the previous technique, the demodulator's symbol timing performance can degrade when the sequences of same symbols are transmitted. This proposed method, because the transmission symbol changes in every single symbol period, increases the synchronization performance dramatically and has a simple MODEM and frame structure. On the one hand, we improve modulation-derived synchronization(MDS) which is M-ary FSK's symbol timing recovery scheme, then analyze it. Finally the proposed method is analyzed from the viewpoint of frequency efficiency, which proves this method is appropriate for acoustic MODEM.

  • In this paper we considered condition for keep standard error probability in optical transmission system that applied on-off keying transmission which are modulated amplitude along the signal. we calculated received sensitivity of receiver in on-off keying transmission for optical detector have quantum efficiency belong 1 in optical transmission system. For BT is over 30, the number of photon is belong 10000 for maintain standard error probability. also we considered Also, we install a preamplifier to the receiver for considering the low output may be used with a light that was able to get results.

  • In this study, we analysis an optical receivers using the optical preamplifier in a spectrum-sliced WDM systems. The average numbers of photons/bit, for an $10^{-9}$ error probability, counts using the OOK and FSK transmission. As a result, the theoretical sensitivity for PIN receiver and optical preamplifier receiver are approximately $9.2\times10^4\;and\;7.2\times10^2$ in the m=20, respectively. Also, the average numbers of photons/bit, for and given error probability, theoretical receiver sensitivity for Gaussian method and k-square method are approximately $9\times10^2\;and\;2.16\times10^2$ in the m=40, respectively. And the average numbers of photons/bit, for an given error probability, theoretical receiver sensitivity, OOK and FSK transmission are approximately $1.9\times10^2\;and\;3.1\times10^2$ in the m=20, respectively.

Performance of multilevel polarization shift keying system (다중레벨 편광편이키잉 시스템의 성능)

  • In this paper, Stokes parameters which represent the states of polarization of transmitted light are determined by potential function, which is used to obtain signals points in a multidimensional Euclidean structure. And performance of multilevel polarization shift keying(POLSK) system using the obtained parameters is also represented and analyzed. As results, bit error rate of multilevel POLSK system using the potential function is shown to be lower than the conventional one using the distance matrix. And as number of levels increases, the number of photons per bit for bit error rate of 10$^{-9}$ is also increased linearly. The multilevel POLSK system, therefore, is an energy efficient modulation technque as compared with the convnetional ones.

Design of a New 3-D 16-ary Signal Constellation with Constant Envelope (상진폭 특성을 가지는 새로운 3차원 16진 신호성상도의 설계)

  • In this paper, design of a new 3-dimensional (3-D) 16-ary signal constellation with constant envelope is presented and analyzed. Unlike the conventional 16-ary constellations, all signal points of the new constellation are uniformly located on the surface of a sphere so that they have a unique amplitude level and a symmetrical structure. When average power of the constellations is normalized, the presented 16-ary constellation has around 11.4% increased minimum Euclidean distance (MED) as compared to the conventional ones that have non-constant envelope. As a result, a digital communication system which exploits the presented constellation has 1.2dB improved symbol error rate (SER). While signal points of the conventional constant-envelope constellation are not distributed uniformly on the surface of a sphere, those of the proposed constellation has a completely symmetric distribution. In addition, the new signal constellation has much lower computational complexity for practical implementation than the conventional one. Hence, the proposed 3-D 16-ary signal constellation is appropriate for the application to a communication system which strongly requires a constant-envelope characteristic.
