  • The Key exchange protocols are very crucial tools to provide the secure communication in the broadband satellite access network. They should be required to satisfy various requirements such as security, Key confirmation, and Key freshness. In this paper, we propose Two authenticated key exchange protocols Two Pass EKE-E(Encrypted Key Exchange-Efficient) and Two Pass EKE-S(Encrypted Key Exchange-Secure) are introduced. A basic idea of the protocols is that a password can be represented by modular addition N, and the number of possible modular addition N representing the password is $2^N$ The Two Pass EKE-E is secure against the attacks including main-in-the-middle attack and off-line dictionary attack, and the performance is excellent so as beyond to comparison with other authenticated key exchange protocols. The Two Pass EKE-S is a slight modification of the Two Pass EKE-E. The Two Pass EKE-S provides computational in feasibility for learning the password without having performed off line dictionary attack while preserving the performance of the Two Pass EKE-E.

  • In order to protect an exchanged data, it is indispensable to establish a peer-to-peer key between the two communicating nodes. Pre-distributing keys among the nodes is unrealistic in Ad-Hoc network environment because of the dynamic nature of its network topology and the equal authority of its nodes. This paper presents a peer-to-peer key establishment scheme without pre-distributing keys in Ad-Hoc networks. The proposed scheme is based on the Diffie-Hellman key exchange protocol. Main idea is to prevent the falsification of Diffe-Hellman values using some elements of a hash chain. As a result, it is as safe as the underlying hash function against a man-in-the-middle attack. Simulation results have shown that the proposed scheme dramatically reduces the number of messages, and has relatively higher scalability, as compared with the key pre-distribution based scheme.

  • As the increment usage of Internet, the security systems's importance is emphasized. The current Internet Key Exchange protocol(IKE) which has been used for key exchange of security system, was pointed out a problem of efficiency and stability. In this research, we try to resolve those problems, and evaluate the newly designed Key Exchange protocol in the IPsec interaction test bed system environment. In this research we implemented the new Key Exchange Protocol as a recommendation of RFC proposal, so as to resolve the problem which was pointed out the key exchange complexity and the speed of authentication process. We also designed the defense mechanism against the Denial of Service attack. We improved the key exchange speed as a result of simplification of complex key exchange phase, and increased efficiency as a result of reuse the preexistence state value when it's renegotiated.

  • In this paper, proposes Kerberos certification mechanism that improve certification service of PKINIT base that announce in IETF CAT Working Group. Bid to certificate other realm because search position of outside realm through DNS and apply X.509 directory certification system, acquire public key from DNS server by chain (CertPath) between realms by certification and Key exchange way that provide service between realms applying X.509, DS/DNS of PKINIT base. In order to provide regional services, Certification and key exchange between realms use Kerberos symmetric method and Session connection used Directory service to connection X.509 is designed using an asymmetric method. By efficient TGT (Ticket Granting Ticket) exchange and reusability of ticket, A Design of Kerberos system that have effect and simplification of certification formality that reduce overload on communication.

  • This paper proposes an ID-based entity-aunthentication and authenticated key exchange protocol with ECC via two-pass communications between two parties who airs registered to the trusted third-party KC in advance. The proposed protocol developed by applying ECDSA and Diffie-Hellman key exchange scheme to the ID-based key distribution scheme over ECC proposed by H. Sakazaki, E. Okamoto and M. Mambo(SOM scheme). The security of this protocol is based on the Elliptic Curve Discrete Logarithm Problem(ECDLP) and the Elliptic Curve Diffie-Hellman Problem(ECDHP). It is strong against unknown key share attack and it provides the perfect forward secrecy, which makes up for the weakness in SOM scheme,

  • Password authenticated key exchange (PAKE) is a protocol that a client stores its password to a server, authenticates itself using its password and shares a session key with the server. In multi-server PAKE, a client splits its password and stores them to several servers separately. Unless all the servers are compromised, client's password will not be disclosed in the multi-server setting. In attribute-based encryption (ABE), a sender encrypts a message M using a set of attributes and then a receiver decrypts it using the same set of attributes. In this paper, we introduce multi-server PAKE protocol that utilizes a set of attributes of ABE as a client's password. In the protocol, the client and servers do not need to create additional public/private key pairs because the password is used as a set of public keys. Also, the client and the servers exchange only one round-trip message per server. The protocol is secure against dictionary attacks. We prove our system is secure in a proposed threat model. Finally we show feasibility through evaluating the execution time of the protocol.

  • In this paper, we proposed a scheme that it safely exchanges encrypted keys without Trust Third Party (TTP) and Pre-distributing keys in multi-hop clustering sensor networks. Existing research assume that it exists a TTP or already it was pre-distributed a encrypted key between nodes. However, existing methods are not sufficient for USN environment without infrastructure. Some existing studies using a random number Diffie-Hellman algorithm to solve the problem. but the method was vulnerable to Replay and Man-in-the-middle attack from the malicious nodes. Therefore, authentication problem between nodes is solved by adding a TESLA. In this paper, we propose a modified Diffie-Hellman algorithm that it is safe, lightweight, and robust pair-wise agreement algorithm by adding One Time Password (OTP) with timestamp. Lastly, authentication, confidentiality, integrity, non-impersonation, backward secrecy, and forward secrecy to verify that it is safe.

  • User authentication and key agreement are very important components to provide secure home network service. Although the TTA adopted the EEAP-PW protocol as a user authentication and key transmission standard, it has some problems including not to provide forward secrecy. This paper first provides an analysis of the problems in EEAP-PW and then proposes a new attribute-based authenticated key agreement protocol, denoted by EEAP-AK. to solve the problems. The proposed protocol supports the different level of security by diversifying network accessibility for the user attribute after the user attribute-based authentication and key agreement protocol steps. It efficiently solves the security problems in the EEAP-PW and we could support more secure home network service than the EEAP-AK.
