The purpose of this study was to compare the appearance similarity between a 3D virtual wedding dress, and a model wearing real dress, and production efficiency, and the possibility of achieving similar results with 3D digital technology. Five wedding dresses for small weddings under the theme of 'Dream Series', were designed and produced in virtual and real dresses to quantitatively compare and analyze the appearance similarity and production efficiency. Experts compared the appearance similarity on the silhouettes, colors, materials, and details, and production efficiency was compared with time and cost. Based on our results, 3D virtual images of four out of the five dresses were similar to the real images. Our efficiency evaluation results showed that the manufacturing time was 45.4% shorter, and the manufacturing cost was 46.1% less than the existing method. This indicated that the wedding dress manufacturing process using 3D virtual software was time and cost saving competitive. Our results also confirmed that 3D virtual software technology has the potential to increase the efficiency of designing and production, and therefore an increase in competitiveness and sales of wedding dresses. Furthermore, 3D technology allows consumers to select and order wedding dresses online through 3D virtual software. This is a great advantage, and it highlights the significance of this research study.
This paper suggests guidelines for virtual clothes modeling and draping software suitable for clothes designers. We first analyze Maya Cloth, which is widely used in game and animation fields, and which has been adopted by Pad System as a 3D cloth draping system. We then discuss what functions and procedures would improve Maya Cloth to assist designers in being able to create the clothes they have conceptualized. While Maya Cloth has many good functions and features forvirtual cloth modeling and draping, it treats input 2D patterns as approximat and it creates 3D clothes by considering other factors such as the 3D body model. As a result, it is hard for clothes designers to control the shape of the 3D clothes by changing 2D patterns. Furthermore, Maya Cloth does not handle seamlines satisfactorily. We suggest that the following new features should be added to Maya Cloth : respecting the input 2D patterns, handling seamlines, and controlling the shape of the clothes in 3D space.
Chloroform present in the swimming water disinfected with sodium hypochlorite is released to the air of swimming pools. The air chloroform concentrations were measured in two swimming pools A and B which applied both sodium hypochlorite a:d ozone. Thew mean concentrations are 28.0 $\mu\textrm{g}$/m3 and 33.6 $\mu\textrm{g}$/m3in the swimming pools A and B, respectively. On the other hand, the mean water chloroform concentrations in the swimming pools A and B were 23.9 $\mu\textrm{g}$/l and 19.5 $\mu\textrm{g}$/l, respectively. The air chloroform concentrations were lower in the swimming Bools A and B than those reported by previous studies abroad employed the swimming pools which applied sodium hypochlorite only for water disinfection. The water chloroform concentrations were also lower in this study than in the previous studies. The relationship between the air and water chloroform concentrations measured in this study was significant with p=0.002 and Rz=0.42. At similar time to the indoor air sampling, outdoor air samples were collected at two sites near each of the swimming Pools A and B. The mean outdoor air chloroform concentrations near the swiminE Pools A and B were 0.41 $\mu\textrm{g}$/m3 and 0.16 $\mu\textrm{g}$/m3, respectively. The outdoor air chloroform concentrations measured in this study were equal to or lower than those reported by previous studies abroad. 'rho chloroform dose inhaled for a typical one-hour swim was estimated to be 25.9 $\mu\textrm{g}$ per person, corresponding to a specific 0.37 $\mu\textrm{g}$/kg body weight for a reference 70 Kg male adult, while the inhalation dose of chloroform from the outdoor air was estimated to be 5.6 $\mu\textrm{g}$ per person per day, corresponding to a specific 0.08 $\mu\textrm{g}$/Kg/day for the same reference male adult.

Acetic acid and succinic acid bonded polyamine-polyurea(CPPI and SAPPI) resins were synthesized from the reaction of polyethylenimine-polymethylenepolyphenylene isocyanate(PPI) resin as matrix polymer and chloroacetic acid and chlorosuccinic acid respectively. These resins were confirmed with infrared spectrometry and elemental analysis. The adsorption characteristics of the chromium(III) and dichromate(or chromate) ions on the resins were studied by measuring distribution coefficients($K_d$) with changing pH of the solution. It was thought that these ions were adsorbed by ion exchange mechanism. Chromium(III) and dichromate ion could be separated with stepwise elution method by changing pH of the eluent using SAPPI resin packed column($0.6cm(i.\;d.){\times}10cm(L.)$). Also, dichromate ion could be preconecntrated with CPPI resin column by a concentration factor of 50.
During a wearer's movement, the apparel fabric layers collide each other in a highly complicated manner. The collision involves cloth-cloth, and cloth-body collision. The diversity of the textile fabrics, including silk, wool, cotton, and other synthetic fibers, together with the complex details of the apparel construction, makes the collision and other calculation procedure involved in the 3-dimensional clothing software system much more complicated. Therefore, there is a need to measure the behavior of the fabrics during the fabric collision cycles. In this study, as a first step, static measurements pertinent to the factors governing the appearance of the apparel fabrics were implemented. The drape profile, stiffness(Sd and Sf), tensile properties, thickness, and the air permeability were measured. The correlation between the parameters were calculated and reviewed. It is found that there is a high correlation of 0.97 between the actual fabric drape parameters and the 3D virtual fabric drape parameters. The measured drape coefficients of the fabrics show relatively good correlation with the measured fabric stiffness.

Characteristics of pyrolysis, partial oxidation, combustion of chlorella, which is one species of micro-algae, were determined by using thermobalance reactor(I.D. 5.5 cm, Height 1 m). Effect of reaction temperature($500{\sim}800^{\circ}C$), water content in chlorella(0~60%), and oxygen content(0~21vol%) on thermal decomposition of chlorella were also determined and analyzed to investigate the kinetic characteristics of pyrolysis, partial oxidation and combustion. As the temperature and partial pressure increases, the carbon conversion increases. In case of pyrolysis, carbon conversion and reactivity sharply decreased with increasing moisture content. However, carbon conversion and reactivity decreased at 60% water content in case of partial oxidation and combustion. As reaction temperature and oxygen content increased, carbon conversion increased and the combustion reaction rate equation for chlorella has been presented. $\frac{dX}{dt}=(7.41{\times}10^{-1})$exp$\left(-\frac{19600}{RT}\right)(P_{O_{2}})^{0.209}(1-X)^{2/3}$.
Numerical identification was carried out for an isolate of Streptomyces strain producing the extracellular p-lactamase inhibitor. Fifty taxonomic unit characters were tested and the data were analyzed numerically using the TAXON program. The isolate was identified to the major cluster 5 of Streptomyces and it was best matched to Streptomyces omiyaensis which is a synonym of Streptomyces exfoliatus. Therefore, it was concluded that the isolate was identified to be a strain (SMF 19) of Streptomyces exjbliatus.
Inclusion complex formation of furosemide with ${\beta}-cyclodextrin({\beta}-CyD)$ in solid state was confirmed by X-ray diffractometry, IR spectroscopy and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The solid complexes of ${\beta}-CyD$ with furosemide in molar ratio of 2 : 1 were prepared by solvent evaporation method. The photodegradation of furosemide in alkaline solution under the light and the hydrolysis of furosemide in acidic solution were not inhibited by complex formation with ${\beta}-CyD$. However, the bioavailability of furosemide was improved by complex formation with ${\beta}-CyD$ after oral administration to rats.
The active site of cyclooxygenase was modeled by complementary receptor-cavity mapping procedure using 3D structures of the non-steroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). A total of 50 NSAIDs were chosen as data ligands which compete the same site on the enzyme. Partial atomic charges were estimated, and the energetic differences for various conformations were calculated so as to meet the need for a most efficient overlapping of the probably-equivalent functional groups of the ligand molecules. The structure activity relationships of the NSAIDs, if available, were fully considered throughout the modeling. The overall shape of the model obtained is similar to a boot-without-bottom. Most of inner surface of the cavity appeared as hydrophobic; two polar counterparts except the carboxyl-binding position were found. By this model, some clear explanations could be given on the experimental observations which were not satisfiably understood yet.
A comprehensive research must be conducted on manufacturing techniques such as patterns and sewing, with the understanding of material properties to satisfy consumers' emotions with a strong fashion trend orientation. Physical and emotional characteristics may change depending on the characteristics of the material, and the overall silhouette and feeling of the garment can change depending on how sewing is conducted. To examine the completeness of a finished garment depending on different kinds of clothing material, this study fabricated an actual garment and a 3D virtual garment as well using 3D CAD IMAGE SYSTEM (CLO 3D, DC Suite, etc.) for a comparative analysis. These two methods have their own advantages and disadvantages. This study selected five of the most representative clothing materials and conducted a comparative analysis on appearance differences between actual clothing and virtual clothing by material. Additionally, the study verified the similarity between actual clothing and virtual clothing by comparing their physical properties by material, and evaluated the objectivity and accuracy of the reproducibility of material properties of virtual clothing.
