클레이는 1 나노미터 정도의 두께를 가지는 실리케이트층으로 이루어져 있으며, 이러한 클레이를 고분자 사이에 나노미터 단위로 분산시키는 기술에 대한 연구가 활발하게 이루어져오고 있다. 최근에는 Nylon-6에 유기화된 클레이를 분산시키는 연구에 대한 결과가 발표된 바 있다. 클레이를 사용한 나노복합체의 개발은 제품의 경량화를 위한 노력과 더불어 이루어져왔으며, 특히 최근에 급격히 발전하고 있는 나노기술에 힘입어서 나노복합체의 개발위주로 이루어지고 있다.(중략)

Although claims and disputes may be never avoided in construction industry, until 1998, there are no systematic claims in the public sector in Korea. But, because of IMF, Contractors have been recognized that cost management is essential factor and contractual right can be demanded against the Public Orderer. Many affirmative effect such as, appearance of new professional service, prevention of lower quality construction, restrain of unnecessary budget expenditure, arrangement of duplicated or triplicated liability and revision of unnecessary administrative control may be anticipated through alleging claims, but in site representative manager and construction company may have ambiguous fear, somebody tried to allege claims. Therefore, to activate systematic construction claims, 32 public construction project claims alleged by contractors from 1998 to 2001 were analyzed, inactivated reasons of claims were examined and contractor's action plan to allege claims was suggested in this paper.

As the further development of economic globalization and the continued opening up of international construction markets, many of the countries are faced with more and more severe domestic and international construction market competition. It has been a focus question of all the countries and regions that how to achieve maximal profit in the international construction market, but construction claims are growing into a stumbling block to the project participants to reach their expected goals. Thus, the management of construction claims is considered as the greatest challenge that is facing constructors in today's vacillating business environment. Recently, many of the methodologies have been developed for the construction claims to overcome these current problems, but compared to the developed countries there is still a big gap in some Asian countries, such as China and Korea. This paper attempted to investigate and compare the project claims system in these two countries to figure out the common points and differences.

Claims in the construction industry can have a serious impact on the profitability of the project or can even result in project failure if it fails to take appropriate prevention. In order to properly prevent and respond to the potential claims and legal disputes throughout the project execution, it is necessary to continuously accumulate informations and clearly define the roles and responsibilities of the important activities systematically. Based on these needs, this study develops and verifies the project information management system(PMIS) that can prevent and respond possible claims for construction projects. Developed system includes such management modules as schedule, cost, PM/CM, design, collaboration, and claims. The system was validated by adopting it to the practical projects. The results showed that information systems tailored to the construction claim need to elevate users' familiarity to be more useful. Besides, the system can be more functional when used by both owners and contractors.

The number of claims and disputes among project participants has been steadily increasing last a few years and it creates numerous conflicts and problems in the domestic construction industry. One of the root causes of claims and disputes can be explained by the fact that project objectives of participants are offer different and not aligned. This research is considered as a pre-study of developing a strategy to mitigate conflicts such as claims and disputes in the domestic construction industry by utilizing Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) techniques. This research focused on improving standard contrast documents to establish a systematic dispute resolution process which emphasize the ADR method. To do so, several well-recognized contract documents developed by FIDIC, AIA, ECC were throughly investigated and analyzed using a benchmarking process. Result of the research propose needs of improving the domestic construction document's some clauses and the details will be further Investigated through surveys and expert's opinions.
