In order to suggest ways to enhance service competitiveness in cruise and destination, this study developed a measure of cruise tour service and analyzed the impact and relative importance on customer satisfaction. Specifically, for the service quality analysis, based on the SERVPERF model, the specialty of the industry was reflected through the arguments of tourism and transport logistics, and the three factors of cruise service quality and destination service quality were derived and utilized as measurement tools. As an analysis method, factor and reliability analysis were conducted using data collected via a survey. Next, correlation analysis was conducted to analyze the relationship between variables and regression analysis was performed to check the impact of cruise tour service quality on customer satisfaction. The study found that both cruise service attributes and destination service attributes had a positive effect on customer satisfaction and that the relative importance of service attributes was identified. Accordingly, it was found that the service quality should be formed by reflecting arguments in the tourism and transport logistics sectors and that the service should be further improved and developed according to the importance of the service attributes so as to enhance cruise tour products.

Cruise industry is a continually growing high value industry despite of economic recession. As Chinese cruise tourists increase, the cruise industry in Northeast Asia has been attracting attention. Korean ports have constructed cruise terminals with vision of becoming a cruise home port. Asian leading cruise country, Singapore has cruise industry strategy linked with Singaporean tourism strategy. Based on the Singaporean cruise industry, several strategies for Korean cruise industry development are suggested. Analyzing the economic effect of cruise home port and call-port and Korean cruise industry environment shows that Busan port is fit for home port, Incheon port is fit for sub home port, and Jeju port is fit for call-port. Korean cruise ports are playing a role in call-port in Northeast Asia cruise market, an introduction of Korean cruise company and home port by the company are needed to develop the Korean cruise industry.

It has been known that cruise tourism adds value in the local industry and its impacts on regional economy are tremendous. From this point of view, identifying services provided by a cruise ship port, cruise tourists' satisfaction, and their behavioral intentions are significant issues at cruse destinations. The main purpose of this study was to identify significant service factors at the cruise ship port that have an influence on cruise tourists' satisfaction and loyalty in Jeju Island. To achieve the study purpose, a structured survey questionnaire was developed on the basis of reviewing related literatures. The survey was conducted through personal interviews at the Jeju Cruise Ship Port. In total, 386 useable samples were collected during the period from September 11 to October 29, 2012. According to the factor analysis using 15 attributes related to services at a cruise ship port, three service factors were extracted: (1) infra-services, (2) shore excursion services, and (3) attributes affecting the selection of shore excursions. Regression analyses indicated that two service factors(shore excursion services and attributes affecting the selection of shore excursions) significantly influence cruise tourists' satisfaction and loyalty. Findings in this study may be insightful and useful information to marketers or managers at cruise ship ports.

The cruise industry is a future-oriented convergence industry based on tourism and shipping, and has attracted great attention not only in the global market but also in Korea. The rapid growth of Asian cruise population, especially in China, has had a considerable impact on both the global market as well as the Korean market. With the recent THAAD problem, the need for diversification of the market has been raised as the entry of cruise tourists from China has been greatly reduced. It is also time for a more systematic and comprehensive development strategy ahead of the opening of the new cruise terminal. This study draws out the problems based on the interviews with experts such as prefectures, travel agencies, and related organizations, as well as analyzing literature on domestic and overseas government plans, policy reports, and research data. Then, the SWOT analysis is used to develop the development strategy and explore the policy support direction. The research scope can be extended to sustainable development model through wider linkage of mid to long term strategy and policy.

제주 강정항은 2015년까지 국부와 안보를 지키는 21세기 청해진을 수행하기 위한 해군기지로서의 기능과 세계자연유산을 보유하고 있는 제주도의 관광산업을 활성화고자 15만톤급 초대형 크루즈 선박이 이용 가능한 민군복합 항만으로 건설될 예정이다. 또한 정부 시책에 발맞춰 친환경적인 설계와 공법으로 신재생에너지 기술을 접목한 미래 지향적인 친환경 민군복항으로 추진되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 제주 민군복합항의 건설 개요를 바탕으로 항만시설의 규모와 현행 추진 현황 등에 대하여 설명하고자 한다.

The cruiser trip which can have various experiences in a short time is growing as the best tourism package because there is less leisure time in contrast of the increased income in 21C. in other words, as the demand of the tourist goes up, the number of ships built newly is increasing. The order of the ship keeping first and second rank in Korea has arranged a long-term strategy in order to get into the global market with the cruiser with the high value added. They also set the objective related to the cruiser design and skillful construction work. We need to observe the change and trend of the cruiser with a care at this time when the cruiser industry is launched out. In this study, the cruiser industry is divided by four periods: the spring time, the depressed time, the developing time and the peak time, on the basis of the trend of the development and the change of space structure. In addition, it was analyzed in this study that there were the various trends such as the ratio, the structure and the type of the space as well as the interior plan in the passenger's residential place The aim of this study is to present the fundamental material about the interior plan to prepare for building the domestic cruisers in a foreseeable future.

The tourism industry is considered as the world largest industry and it is assessed as the most effective way to create employment. In particular, the marine tourism industry such as marine leisure sports, cruise can create high added value so that its significance has been more emphasized. Korea has natural tourist attractions such as more than 3,000 islands, about 12,000km lengths coastline, wide wetlands and beautiful seascape. In addition, the establishment of the five-day workweek and the development of means of transportation make the policy demand of the public for marine tourism increase continuously. However, Korea currently lacks policy and system for revitalizing marine tourism industry as the new growth engine and has not made good use of its retained tourist resource. Accordingly, this study explores the current situation and challenges of Korean marine tourism industry and further analyses the limits of the national legal systems for marine tourism. Lastly, it suggests policy recommendation for promoting marine tourism industry.

This study aims to compare Jeju Island, Shanghai, and Yokohama cruise ports and to investigate the relative strengths and weaknesses of Jeju Island. This study conducted comparative evaluation of 8 factors [airport, berth, expenses, distance, access to town, shopping facilities, source market (background market), and tourism] through a cruise network analysis. Comparative evaluation results find that Jeju Island, which secured 2 berths (berthing capacity) by completion of the civil-military complex port, has ascendancy over Shanghai cruise port and will have ascendancy over Yokohama cruise port once construction of the new airport is completed. Therefore, it will qualify as the best cruise port in Northeast Asia in the future. Results obtained from the cruise network analysis provide insights for administrative policy. Study limitations include only eight factors are used for evaluating the cruise-ship harbor area and surrounding hinterlands, and thus cannot sufficiently evaluate the complex conditions of the sites. In the future, it is necessary to reexamine the evaluation factors of the cruise ship harbor in detail. Furthermore, future research will need to consider the economic effects of the cruise ship industry, and its relevance to related industries as a possible fusion or hybrid industry.

제주 강정항은 우리나라 남방해역의 보호라는 안보적인 측면과 대형 크루즈선 유치를 통한 관광산업의 활성화를 위해 해군기지와 민항의 기능을 가진 민 군복항으로 건설되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 제주 강정항 계류시설의 대상선박인 15만톤급 초대형 크루즈선의 입 출항 및 통항 안전성 판별을 위해 실시하는 선박조종시뮬레이션의 일반 수행 절차와 선행 연구 등을 분석한다. 이는 선행 연구에서 제기된 주요 쟁점사항들을 명확하게 분석함으로써 객관적이고 신뢰성 높은 선박조종시뮬레이션 연구를 수행하고자 하는 것으로, 주요 검토 사항은 수역시설인 선회장과 진입항로의 교각, 크루즈선의 풍압면적과 적용 풍속 등을 면밀하게 고찰하여 시뮬레이션에 반영하고자 함이다. 또한 제주 강정한 건설은 사회적 관심이 매우 큰 국책사업임을 감안하여 선박조종시뮬레이션 분석 및 평가 등에 해상교통안전 및 선박운용 분야의 전문가그룹을 자문위원으로 구성했고, 연구 결과의 타당성 확보를 위해 해상교통안전진단제도에 명시된 선박조종시뮬레이션 표준절차와 평가 방법 등을 적용하였다.

Recently, the number of tourists using cruise ships in Korea is increasing. and an big cruise ship with an gross tonnage of 160,000 tons or more has entered the domestic ports. Therefore, the government has been making a lot of efforts to confirm the cruise infrastructure for revitalization of the domestic cruise industry. However, there are no standards for cruise ship specifications and water facilities in the domestic port and fishery design standards. Currently, construction of dedicated cruise facilities is under way in major domestic ports. However, due to lack of specifications and domestic standards for cruise ships, it is difficult to design and license special facilities. Therefore, in this study, PIANC rule and domestic harbor and designing standard of fishing port were compared and analyzed in order to present the standard specification of cruise ships. And analyzed the representative linearity of cruises currently being operated. As a result of the ship characteristics analysis, There was a difference in coastal passenger ship in specifications and ship maneuverability. Therefore, in order to design facilities dedicated to cruising, the specifications of the target ship must be included in the domestic design standard. In addition, in order to calculate the scope of the target ship, I applied the coverage rate of 75% to the average specification value of the cruise ship and presented the standards of the cruise ship and the standard of the water area facilities.
