힘 센서를 이용하지 않는 혼합형 햅틱 마스터 시스템의 개발 (Development of a Hybrid Haptic Master System Without Using a Force Sensor)

  • A hybrid type master system is proposed to take the advantage of the link mechanism and magnetic levitation mechanism without using a force sensor. Two different types of electromagnetic actuators, moving coil type and moving magnet types are used to drive the master system which is capable of 4-DOF actuation. It is designed that the rotation motions about x-y axis are decoupled and the whole system is represented by simple dynamic equations. The force reflection is achieved by using the simple relation between the force and applied current and position. The simulation and experimental results are presented to show its performance.

유압밸브 구동용 서보 액추에이터의 신뢰성 향상을 위한 설계 파라미터 도출 (Inducement of Design Parameters for Reliability Improvement of Servo Actuator for Hydraulic Valve Operation)

  • 유압밸브 구동용 서보 액추에이터는 항공기, 자동차의 유압시스템 그리고 산업용 유압시스템의 정밀한 작동에 중요한 장치이다. 서보 액추에이터의 신뢰성 있는 동작은 전체 유압시스템의 정밀한 제어에 큰 영향을 미친다. 서보 액추에이터의 주파수 응답특성, 스텝 응답특성과 같은 응답특성은 액추에이터의 성능을 판단하는 중요한 기준이 된다. 본 논문에서는 신뢰성해석을 통해 신뢰성 있는 동작과 응답특성을 만족시키기 위한 구성 부품에 대한 분석을 실시하였다. 또한 신뢰성 있는 동작과 빠른 응답성을 구현하기 위해 현장의 경험적 지식과 문헌 및 전문가의 전자기 이론을 통해 유압밸브 구동용 서보 액추에이터의 설계 파라미터를 도출하였다. 보빈, 요크, 플런저의 설계값, 그리고 코일의 감긴 수와 같은 서보 액추에이터의 설계값들을 결정하는 설계 파라미터를 제안하고, 설계방정식을 통해 산출한 설계값을 유한요소해석을 통해 타당성을 검증하였다. 또한 서보 액추에이터가 장착된 유압밸브의 성능시험을 통해 제안한 설계 방안의 타당성을 검증하였다.

광디스크 드라이브의 고속 액세스를 위한 광픽업 액추에이터 메커니즘 설계 (Mechanism Design of Optical Pickup Actuator for Fast Access of Optical Disk Drive)

  • In this paper, mechanism design of optical pickup actuator for fast access is proposed. This actuator is composed of moving magnet type actuator and moving coil type actuator for tracking and fine motion, respectively. Moving magnet type tracking actuator is configurated by two permanent magnets and four air-core solenoids. Additional damper by induced current in tracking actuator can reduce the transient vibration between the coarse seeking servo and fine seeking servo. Variable stiffness can be acquired by applying current to air-core solenoid simply. This actuator can achieve fast access by these additional damper and stiffness. Performance of this actuator is predicted through the FEM, simulation and simple experiment. Settling time for transient vibration is reduced to 14.7% according to simulation result.

밸브구동용 보이스 코일 선형 포스모터 설계와 해석 연구 (A Study on the Design and Analysis of a Voice Coil Linear Force Motor for Hydraulic Valve)

  • The voice coil linear force motor is a kind of a direct drive motion device that uses a permanent magnetic field and coil winding to produce force. In order to design a voice coil linear force motor, an exact calculations of the required force, the flux density in air gap and the flux pathway are needed. A conventional method can be used usually to calculate the flux density in air gap, but with this method it is needed to find a magnetic circuit revision constant. In this paper a voice coil linear force motor is designed by conventional design method and analyzed by 3D simulation program "Flux". For the prototype linear force motor, the results of the calculated by conventional design method and the analyzed by 3D simulation program are compared with the test result. Finally it is showed that the magnetic circuit revision constant which is found by comparing of the analyzed and the measured data can be used for the design of the voice coil type linear force motor to minimize the trial and error.

VCM 액추에이터의 전자기력을 이용한 HDD 래치 설계 (A HDD Latch Design Using Electro-magnetic Force of VCM Actuators)

  • Various types of latch designs for hard disk drives using load/unload mechanism have been introduced to protect undesired release motions of a voice coil motor(VCM) actuator from sudden disturbances. Recently, various inertia-type latches have been widely used because locking performance is better than that of other types of latch. However there has been a limit in the inertia type in order to guarantee perfect latch and unlatch operations because of changes in latch/unlatch conditions due to mechanical tolerance and temperature-dependent friction. In this paper, a reliable and robust magnetic latch mechanism is proposed through only simple modifications of coil and yoke shapes in order to overcome the mechanical limit of current inertia-type latches. This new magnetic latch does not have only a simple structure but it also ensures reliable operations and anti-shock performance. The operating mechanism of the proposed latch is theoretically analyzed and optimally designed using an electromagnetic simulation.

  • This paper deals with the dynamic simulations and experiments of moving-coil linear actuator with/without spring. Dynamic simulation algorithm is established from the voltage and motion equation. Finally, for various values of frequency, dynamic simulation results for characteristics of current and displacement of moving-coil linear actuator with and without spring are presented and confirmed through the experiments.
