  • 해수로 부터 담수를 얻기 위한 방법으로는 증발법, 역삼 투압법, 전기투석법, 냉동법등을 들 수 있다. 이 중에서 역삼투압법은 상변화가 필요없기 때문에 소요 에너지가 적고 장치가 COMPACT 하여 설치비 및 설치부지가 적게든다는 이점을 가지고 있으며, 특히 최근에는 우수한 분리막의 개발 및 공정 기술의 향상으로 다른 공정들에 비해 경쟁력을 갖게 되었다. 본고는 인도네시아, WEST JAVA의 한 석유 화학 단지를 조성 하는데 있어 각 공장에 필요한 공업 용수를 일괄 공급 하기위한 해수 담수화공장 (8000 m$^3$일, 향후증설 8000 m$^3$일)을 건설하기 위한 것으로서 코오롱 엔지니어링(주)에서 수행한 타당성 조사 및 엔지니어링 결과를 토대로 작성된 것이다.

  • 한국주택협회는 강원도 강촌 리조트에서 '주택시장 발전방안 모색' 이라는 주제로 워크숍을 개최했다. 지난 4월 6일 열린 이 워크숍에서 주택산업연구원 고철 원장이 국민의 주거 수준 향상을 위한 민간부분의 역할, 서울시정개발연구원 장영희 선임연구위원이 무주택 국민의 주거생활 안정을 위한 공공부문의 역할에 대해 차례로 발표했다. 뒤를 이어 KDI 국제정책대학원 김정호 교수의 사회로 강팔문 본부장(건교부 주거복지본부), 김경환 교수(서강대), 남상오 사무총장(주거복지연대), 박환용 교수(경원대), 원현수 부사장(코오롱건설), 최영진 대표(중앙일보 조인스랜드)가 주제에 관한 열띤 토론을 했다.

Business Records and Information Management as Preparation for e-Discovery Risks (전자증거개시상의 위험에 대응한 기업기록정보관리 방안)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the directions for record and information management (RIM) strategies for Korean companies as preparation for e-Discovery risks. It begins with the articulation key concepts and some RIM issues of e-Discovery, which is governed by the U.S. Federal Rules of Civil Procedures. It analyzes three lawsuit cases for which Korean companies were sued by North American companies in order to determine the main reasons behind the defensible disposition failures. Based on the analyses, it suggests the RIM strategic policies for preparing the e-Discovery, including the development of inventories for documents and ESI in their possession, custody, or control; ensuring legal hold programs in good faith; and making defensible retention policies.

  • This study proposed the approaches to business process redesign and business network redesign in e-business environment through the case analysis of e-Transformation performed in Kolon Gloteck, Inc. which has been managed and operated in a traditional mode. The proposed e-Transformation approaches of the traditional firm in this study were as following: 1) Network-focused business process redesign; 2) Introducing ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) as e-Business backbone; 3) Establishing transparence of business functions through using shared database; 4) Understanding customer and constructing IT(Information Technology) infrastructure for customer satisfaction; 5) Performing data and process standardization; 6) Applying the best suitable IT(Information Technology) such as JSP(Java Server Pages) and VPN(Virtual Private Network). The findings of this case study are thought to be useful as a practical guideline in carrying, out e-Transformation of the typical traditional firm and to provide significant basis for constructing the theoretical framework of e-Transformation methodology.

  • Syngas was produced out of pellet refuse derived fuel (RDF) produced from an RDF production facility of W city, Korea. A two-stage gasification system was developed to use the RDF char as an auxiliary heat source for gasification reaction. The composition and heating value of syngas as well as the heating value of residual product (char) were measured at a different residence time to investigate the optimal operating condition of the two-stage gasification system for syngas production. The optimal char residence time to minimize the energy cost due to an external heat source supply was also deduced.

  • The purpose of this research is to introduce the new temporary earth retaining wall system using landslide stabilizing piles. This system is a self-supported retaining wall (SSR) without installing supports such as tiebacks, struts and rakers. The SSR is a kind of gravity structures consisting of twin parallel lines of piles driven below excavation level, tied together at head of soldier piles and landslide stabilizing piles by beams. In order to investigate applicability and safety of this system, a series of experimental model tests were carried out and the obtained results are presented and discussed. Furthermore, the measured data from seven different sites on which the SSR was used for excavation were collected and analyzed to investigate the characteristic behavior lateral wall movements associated with urban excavations in Korea. It is observed that lateral wall movements obtained from the experimental model is in good agreement with the general trend observed by in site measurements.

  • 원자재 가격상승과 유가 폭등으로 인해 국내 폴리에스터 업계는 중국 제품에 가격 경쟁력이 밀리는 범용 제품 비중을 줄이고 부가가치가 높은 광학 및 특수용도 제품 비중을 높여나가는 등의 노력에 주력하고 있다. 유가 인상과 단가 하락 압력, 경쟁 격화 등으로 포장재 등에 쓰이는 범용 PET 필름은 물론 확산필름 등 일반 LCD용 광학필름의 수익성이 낮아지면서 수익성이 좋은 분야의 비중을 확대하려는 움직임에 따라 올해 폴리에스터(PET) 필름 업계의 화두는 광학 및 태양전지에의 PET 필름의 적용 및 응용이었다. SKC가 먼저 광학필름의 원자재로 쓰이는 고순도 후막 베이스필름이나 태양전지나 하이브리드 자동차 부품용 필름 분야로 진출을 계획중이며 코오롱도 후막 필름 라인을 1기 증설하고 기존 포장재 라인도 전환키로 했다. 또한 도레이새한도 후막 필름을 주력제품으로 끌어올릴 계획을 갖고 있다. 본 고에서는 PET 필름 및 나일론 필름 수급동향을 살펴보고, 업체별 상황 및 전망을 살펴보도록 한다.

  • Recently, as the tripolis where the construction of the high-rising building is actively advanced domestic, it will be able to resist in the various horizontal load with the resistance system against hereupon to arrange R.C wall in Core Portion in order, like this building the core construction must preceding from the steel structure and it will reduce using of steel frame amount and it will be able to reduce a whole construction cost with a horizontal resistance ability from the report which provides a reference data to the similar project after to analyze the application of the mivan formwork system which relates in Tripolis.

  • In this paper, field application of mass concrete using setting time difference of super retarding agent is reported to reduce hydration heat of concrete placed at newly constructed apartment house in Daejeon. Horizontal placing lift is applied. According to test results,: slump and air content meets the requirement of target values. For compressive strength, it exceeds the nominal strength ordered by the costumer. For temperature history, maximum temperature of center at top section shows $25.6^{\circ}C$, and at bottom section, $35.4^{\circ}C$. According to naked eye's investigation, no hydration heat crack is observed at the surface of concrete.
