  • A new type of malware that extracts personal and account data over an extended period of time and that apparently is resistant to detection by vaccines has been identified. Generally, a malware is installed on a computer through network-to-network connections by utilizing Web vulnerabilities that contain injection, XSS, broken authentication and session management, or insecure direct-object references, among others. After the malware executes registration of an arbitrary service and an arbitrary process on a computer, it then periodically communicates the collected confidential information to a hacker. This paper is a systematic approach to analyzing a new type of malware called "winweng," a kind of worm that frequently made appearances during the first half of 2011. The research describes how the malware came to be in circulation, how it infects computers, how its operations expose its existence and suggests improvements in responses and countermeasures. Keywords: Malware, Worm, Winweng, SNORT.

  • Current PKI system will confront more dangerous elements in the wireless network. Accordingly, this study suggests a plan to strengthen authentication system plan with using access control and encryption to the location. Locational information collecting devices such as GPS and sensor are utilized to create a new key for authentication and collect locational information. Such a key encodes data and creates an authentication code for are access control. By using the method suggested by this study, it is possible to control access of a military secret from unauthorized place and to protect unauthorized user with unproposed technique. In addition, this technique enables access control by stage with utilizing the existing PKI system more wisely.

  • Personal verification using finger-knuckle-print(FKP) uses lines and creases at the finger-knuckle area, so the orientation information of texture is an important feature. In this paper, we propose an effective FKP verification method which extracts keypoints using SIFT algorithm and matches the keypoints by vector similarity. The vector is defined as a direction vector which connects a keypoint extracted from a query image and a corresponding keypoint extracted from a reference image. Since the direction vector is created by a pair of local keypoints, the direction vector itself represents only a local feature. However, it has an advantage of expanding a local feature to a global feature by comparing the vector similarity among vectors in two images. The experimental results show that the proposed method is superior to the previous methods based on orientation codes.

  • A home network system is made up of subject of cyber attack from a variety factors of threatening, but also have security weakness in cases of hacking, vicious code, worm virus, DoS attack, tapping of communication network, and more. So, the necessity for a security protocol to protect user asset and personal information within a home network is gradually increasing. Thus, this paper designs and suggests a home network security protocol using user authentication and approach-control technology to prevent the threat by unauthorized users towards personal information and user asset in advance by providing the gradual authority to corresponding devices based on authorized information, after authorizing the users with a Public Key Certificate.

  • In satellite communication, which use the satellite, the protection of TT&C channel which controls the position, performance, and operation is required. In this thesis, we analyzed the weakness of authentication algorithm which is used for protection of TT&C generation and operation. Also, we proposed the authentication algorithm which complements key recovery attack structurely without increasing additional computational amount and verified its performance. The proposed authentication algorithm can satisfy Rivest's recommendation by increasing the computational complexity from $2^{55}$ operations to $2^{111}$ operations. In addition, it can be applied to the existing satellite system because the length of TT&C data and message authentication codes used for the input of authentication algorithm are unchanged.

  • The Internet of Things (IoT), in which resource constrained devices communicate with each other, requires a lightweight security protocol. In this paper, we propose a new message authentication scheme using a hash tree for lightweight message authentication in the Datagram Transport Layer Security (DTLS) protocol. The proposed scheme provides lightweight secure operations compared with those of the DTLS protocol. Besides, it provides more suitable performance than the DTLS protocol for an IoT environment, thanks to the reduced use of message authentication code.

  • Today, the great revolution in all financial industrial such as bank have been progressing through the utilization of IT technology actively, it is called the fintech. In this paper, we draw the draft design of NFC-based electronic payment and coupon system using FIDO framework to apply the 2 factor authentication technique for strength security. In detailed, we will study that the terminal device in front-end will be applied the 2 factor authentication and electric signature, and cloud-based payment gateway in back-end will be applied malicious code detection technique of distributed avoidance type.

  • Smartwork is future-oriented work-environment to bring swift business transaction and convenient for users. In domestic and foreign various countries, It's already prompting introduction of smartwork. Users process work to access frequently from the outside in smartwork that's a similar client/server environment to existing Cloud Computing environment. Necessary of user authentication is increasing to be solvable to security vulnerability because there is possibility that malware flows in and leaks company's confidential information by unauthorized users especially in smartwork environment. Therefore we propose User Authentication scheme based face recognition is applicable to smartwork environment to analyze established User Authentication scheme. environment.

  • This paper proposes and analyzes the MAC(Message Authentication Code) algorithm that is used for the transition integrity and the entity authentication of message. The MAC algorithm uses the DES algorithm which has 64-bit block and 56-bit key and we compare the security according to 64-bit and 32-bit length of MAC value. Moreover, we use the SEED algorithm which has 128-bit block and 128-bit key and compare the security according to 128-bit and 64-bit length of MAC value. We analyze the security the forgery attack according to length of message and length of MAC value. this paper, a coarse-to-fine optical flow detection method is proposed. Provided that optical flow gives reliable approximation to two-dimensional image motion, it can be used to recover the three-dimensional motion. but usually to get the reliable optical flows are difficult. The proposed algorithm uses Horn's algorithm (or detecting initial optical flow, then Thin Plate Spline is introduced to warp a image frame of the initial optical flow to the next image frame. The optical flow for the warped image frame is again used iteratively until the mean square error between two image sequence frames is lowered. The proposed method is experimented for the real moving Picture image sequence. The proposed algorithm gives dense optical flow vectors.

  • A fingerprint is unique to each person and can be represented as a digital form. As the fingerprint is the part of human body, fingerprint recognition is much more easy to use and secure rather than using password or resident card for user authentication. In addition, as the newly released smart phones have built-in camera and fingerprint sensors, the demand for biometric authentication is increasing rapidly. But, the drawback is that the fingerprint can be counterfeited easily and if it's exposed to the hacker, it cannot be reused. Thus, the original fingerprint template should be transformed for registration and authentication purposes. Existing transformation functions use passcode to transform the original template to the cancelable form. Additional module is needed to input the passcode, so it requires more cost and lowers the usability. In this paper, we propose biometric authentication scheme that is economic and easy to use. The proposed scheme is consisted of cancelable biometric template creation, registration and user authentication protocols, and can control several security levels by configuring the number of fingerprints and scan times. We also analyzed that our scheme is secure against the brute-force attack and the active attacks.
