Development and Formative Evaluation of Simulation Contents for Scientific Exploration based on NetLogo (NetLogo 기반의 과학탐구용 시뮬레이션 콘텐츠 개발 및 형성평가)

  • This paper aims at implementing experimental devices with which middle school students can explore scientific ideas using GoGo Board and NetLogo that connect real and simulated worlds. Related research literature was reviewed to design a simulation-based learning model using computer simulation and robot-related activities. In order to construct devices for exploratory experiments, GoGo Board was adopted for developing the interface of Micro-Based Laboratory(MBL) devices with several sensors while NetLogo was used for connecting MBL devices (real world) and simulated experiments (virtual world). The simulation contents were developed in the area of heat equilibrium for changing temperature and the conduct-current relationship appeared in the textbook of middle school science class. With the developed device and contents students can visualize the change of temperature cold and hot waters in terms of heat equilibrium. They also can measure the change of conductor representing the relationship between conductor and current. The formative evaluation of the contents carried out with several middle school students indicated the future direction for upgrading simulation contents and interface. The results might be beneficial for science educators who want to apply simulation contents with the use of computers.

  • 정보 교과가 아닌 타 교과에서 교육 도구로써 프로그래밍의 교육적 효과가 증명됨에 따라 프로그래밍을 수업에 도입하기 위한 다양한 연구가 진행되었다. 김성원과 이영준(2017)은 TPACK 이론을 도입하여, 테크놀로지 도구로 프로그래밍 언어를 도입하고, 예비 교사의 수업 전문성 향상을 위한 프로그래밍 기반 TPACK 교육 프로그램을 개발하였다. 개발한 교육 프로그램을 수업에 도입하였지만, 예비 교사는 여러 가지 어려움을 느끼고 있었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 프로그래밍 기반 TPACK 교육 프로그램을 개선하기 위하여 예비 교사에게 선행 연구에서 개발한 교육 프로그램을 적용하고, 프로그래밍 기반 수업 설계를 하는 과정에서 예비 교사가 겪는 어려움을 조사하였다. 연구 결과, 예비 교사는 예비 교사는 프로그래밍 학습, 프로그램의 설계 및 구현, 교과 특성에 맞는 프로그램 개발, 프로그래밍 언어의 한계로 프로그래밍 기반 수업 설계에서 어려움을 겪고 있었다. 향후 연구에서는 이러한 어려움을 해결하기 위한 교육 프로그램 개선을 진행하고, 개선한 교육 프로그램을 예비 교사에게 적용하여 효과를 검증하고자 한다.

A Study on the Improvement of High Performance Computing Education in Computational Science (계산과학분야의 고성능컴퓨팅 교육 개선을 위한 탐색적 연구)

  • In order to utilize HPC in Computational science, It is necessary to learn the knowledge and skills of computer science such as programming, algorithms and data structure. In this paper, we investigate IT education status in Computational science and propose policy directions to improve the HPC education through user survey. To do this, we surveyed the current state of IT subjects among major subjects in physics, chemistry, life sciences, and earth science in domestic universities and surveyed the users' Recognition of HPC education. As a result, the ratio of IT subjects in Computational science was very lower than the ratio of major domain subjects. Despite the high educational needs of universities, the educational level of universities was the lowest. Most users have learned the necessary knowledge and skills through self-study. We recognized the role of the university is the most urgent and important, and the role of professional institutions and online education is also important.

  • Computers are played an important tole of knowledge-information society in 21C. Computer education have made successful progresses since the 7th curricula have one class of ICT per week. However, public schools have instructed computer literacy education teaching only how to use application software. To give useful knowledges students could use for several decades, we need to have them to concentrate on education to information logical thinking power rather than simple manipulation of application softwares. However, teachers don't understand well about the "Understanding of Information Processing". In this paper, we carried out a survey that how much teachers understand about the information processing comprehension among the information and communication technology guide. We also state problems and propose improvement plan.

  • 본 논문에서는 소외계층 영재학생을 위한 온라인 학습 멘토링 운영 방안을 도출하였다. 소외계층 영재학생에게 필요한 맞춤형 과제, 실생활 문제, 학업 관리를 지원하기 위하여 맞춤형 과제와 피드백, 학업 상담으로 이루어진 온라인 학습 멘토링 운영 방안을 도출하였다. 맞춤형 과제에서는 소외계층 영재학생의 수준에 따라 실생활 주제를 활용한 과제를 제시하였으며, 피드백을 통하여 과제의 결과물을 평가받을 수 있도록 구성하였다. 학업 상담에서는 학업 계획 및 관리 능력을 향상시키기 위하여 전문가와 함께 상담을 진행할 수 있도록 하였다. 후속 연구에서는 온라인 학습 멘토링을 소외계층 영재학생에게 운영하고, 온라인 학습 멘토링의 효과를 분석하는 연구가 진행되어야 한다.

  • This paper investigated the effects of cooperative learning and individual learning in computer science education. Most works and projects are accomplished in groups in most IT companies in Korea. Thus, cooperative learning is one of the most important aspects that must be learned in schools. This research studies how students think of individual and cooperative learning. It also researches and analyzes how different learning methods would affect the learning effects with surveys and experiments, which were conducted during two consecutive semesters with students in a department of a computer related major at a university in Seoul. This research compares and analyzes the results after dividing the students in two groups based on the different learning methods.

An Analysis of the Elementary Parent and Students' Perceptions of Value on Computer Science after Creative Computer Science Education (창의적 정보과학교육이 학부모와 초등학생의 정보과학교육에 관한 가치 인식에 미치는 영향 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze variables affecting parents' and elementary school students' value of computer science after creative computer science education, through multiple regression. Many researches on Informatics subject have focused on the effect of the subject contents on students but hardly dealt with parents' recognition. Thereupon, this study pays attention to the value of computer science recognized by parents and analyzes variables substantially affecting value variables of computer science related to parents' support for learning Informatics subjects. This paper did not verify the difference in recognition of parents and students but calculated more concrete influence by conducing multiple regression on the variables affecting the value recognized by each group. This is one of the reasons why this study is meaningful. According to the result of the analysis, variables affecting the value of parents on computer science the most are interest and satisfaction, and in students' case, self-efficacy is the variable affecting the value of computer science the most.

  • 한 개인의 입장에서도 영재성의 발휘는 매우 중요한 일이지만, 민주국가와 인류공영에 크게 이바지하는 입장에서도 영재성의 발휘는 매우 중요한 일이다. 하지만 현재 운영되고 있는 영재교육을 살펴보면 국가에서 영재교육을 해야 한다고 영재교육의 중요성만 이야기했지 실제로 현장에서 활용할 수 있는 교육과정이나 교육내용을 정해주지 않았기 때문에 실제로 영재교육이 이루어지고 있는 것을 보면 그 내용과 방법은 영재교육을 맡은 기관에 따라 매우 다르게 이루어지고 있다. 현재 17개 대학 부설 과학영재교육원에서 영재교육을 담당하고 있다. 하지만 각 대학 부설 과학영재교육원의 교육과정을 보면 대부분 프로그래밍 위주의 교육을 하고 있고, 그 교육과정도 다른 곳에 개방되어 있지 않아서 각 대학 부설 과학영재교육원마다 교육과정 개발에 상당한 어려움을 겪고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 초등학교에서 고등학교 1학년까지의 10학년에 걸쳐 실시되고 있는 정보통신기술교육내용과 방과 후 특기적성 교육에서 이루어지고 있는 컴퓨터 교육내용, 각 대학 부설 과학영재교육원에서 이루어지고 있는 교육내용을 분석하여 실제로 대학 부설 과학영재교육원에서 활용할 수 있는 초등 정보과학영재를 위한 교육 과정을 개발하였다. 단, 현재 과학영재교육원에서 이루어지고 있는 영재교육이 기초반과 심화반으로 나누어서 운영되고 있는 점을 고려하여, 본 논문에서는 기초반과 심화반 중 기초반에 초점을 두고 연구를 진행하였다.

A Study on the Relationships among Students' Perceptions of Computerized Science Learning Environments, Computer-Related Attitudes, and Computer Experiences (컴퓨터실 과학 학습 환경에 대한 인식과 컴퓨터 관련 태도 및 컴퓨터 경험의 관계성 조사)

  • The relationships among students' perceptions of computerized science learning environments, computer-related attitudes. and computer experiences were investigated with a sample of 164 9thgraders (80 boys and 84 girls) from two middle schools. The Computerized Science Learning Environment Inventory (CSLEI) and the Computer-Related Attitudes Scale (CRAS) were administered, and students' computer experiences were examined. Students' perceptions of preferred learning environments were also studied with the preferred form of the CSLEI, and compared with those of actual learning environments. Gender differences in the perceptions of computerized science learning environments, computer-related attitudes, and computer experiences were also studied. Students' perceptions of preferred learning environments were significantly better than those of actual learning environments in all subscales of the CSLEI except gender equity. There was no gender difference in the perceptions of computerized science learning environments. However, boys were found to have more positive computer-related attitudes and more computer experiences than girls. Students' perceptions of computerized science learning environments were significantly correlated with computer-related attitudes in resource adequacy subscale, but not with computer experiences. Significant relationships between computer-related attitudes and computer experiences were also found.
