Component-Based Development (CBD) is a reuse technology Providing enhancement in productivity through using the unit of component which is larger-grained than an object. However, reference model defining the elements and semantics of CBD component is standardized neither internationally nor in industrial. This yields interoperability and portability problem between CBD platforms, and presents burden of choosing appropriate model to developers. In this paper, we define meta-models for representative component reference models, and identify advantages, disadvantages, and features of each model through technical comparison of meta-models. Besides, through a proposal of essential component model containing common and essential elements that all component models must conform and a extended component model containing maximum elements and mechanisms, we can precisely assess candidate component models in practice.
At present, new techniques based on different component reference models for the integration of component and system of different platforms, such as EJB and COM+, are introduced. The operation between the components in the identical component platform is realized by the composition at the source level. In case of the different component platform, however, it is impossible to use combined components in real condition although they are components of similar domain. In this paper we proposed a solution for the composition problem by using component transformation methodology based on model between EJB and COM+ components which are different components. For the composition between EJB and COM+ components, we compared and analyzed each reference model, then proposed the Virtual Component Model which is implementation independent and the Implementation Table for the mutual conversion. Reffering to the Virtual Component Model and the Implementation Table, we can generalize each Implementation model to the Virtual Component Model, make the Virtual Component Model which is implementation independent through the virtual component modeling, transform EJB and COM+ components selectively. Proposing the effective Model Transformation method to the different component platform, we can combine EJB and COM+ components.
Lately CBD methodologies like as CBD96, Catalysis, Fusion, and SCIPIO have been introduced. These methodologies has their own proprietary component reference model. Using proprietary reference model falls interoperability among methodologies. Furthermore it can cause confusion and difficulty for component developers, In this paper, we propose a integrated component meta-model for support consistency and interoperability among component designs. Also, we compare our proposed meta model to existing component reference model by using component's characteristics. We expect that it is easy to add new meta model elements and extends meta-model by using integrated component meta-model.
Component-Based Software Engineering (CBSE) is widely accepted as new paradigms for building applications with reusable assets. Mismatch problems occur while integrating the assets and make a burden in CBSE. Therefore, a larger-grained reuse unit than a component such as a framework is required, and it consists of relevant components, connectors and domain-specific architecture. The benefits of frameworks over components are commonly known, however, the key elements and internal structure of framework has not been clearly defined. We believe most of the framework models proposed in recent works remain at conceptual level. In this paper, we propose a practical-level framework reference model, and define key elements of frameworks. The research goal is to precisely identify concrete elements of a framework, inter-connection of components within a framework, extended notion of connectors, and tailored meaning of architecture In a framework. Hence, the proposed framework can be practically implemented in common object-oriented languages and with middleware such as lava, J2EE, CORBA Component Model (CCM) and NET.

CBD is a software development approach based on reusable component and supports easy modification and evolution of software. For the success of this approach, a component must be developed with high cohesion and low coupling. In this paper, we propose the two types of clustering analysis technique based on affinity between use-cases and classes and propose component identification method applying to this technique. We also propose component reference model and CBD methodology framework and perform a ease study to demonstrate how the affinity-based clustering technique is used in component identification method. Component identification method contains three tasks such as component extraction, component specification and component architecting. This method uses object-oriented concept for identifying component, which improves traceability from analysis to implementation and can automatically extract component. This method reflects the low coupling-high cohesion principle for good modularization about reusable component.

There has been several meaning full efforts to save costs on system development and expand the life-time of a system in changeful IT circumstance. It was a module-based architecture that empower productivity at structured programming era. But it couldn't grow nor evolve, but could raise only calling frequency of module. But OOP or OO-method overcome limit of structured programing by class inheritance and/or overloading and/or over-riding. A component centric architecture, what is mixture of distributed systems, like CORBA or DCOM with OOP, can support not only high reusability or expansion of life-time but also Plug-&-Play between them. To assemble these component to build a new system in easy way, the well-formed specification of a component is highly required. At this study, the enhanced referential component architecture and its UML specification will be suggested.

XKMS(XML Key Management Specification), one of XML Security specification, defines the protocol for distributing and registering public keys for verifying digital signatures and enciphering XML documents of web service applications with various and complicate functions. In this paper, we propose XML Key Information protocol service model and implements reference model of protocol component based on standard specification. Also describes the analysis and security method of Key Information Service(XKIS) for Secure XML Web Service, paying attention to the features of XML based security service. This protocol component supported includes public key location by given identifier information, the binding of such keys to edentifier information. This reference model offers the security construction guideline for future domestric e-Business Frameworks.
