Iterative Deep Convolutional Grid Warping Network for Joint Depth Upsampling (반복적인 격자 워핑 기법을 이용한 깊이 영상 초해상화 기술)

  • Depth maps have distance information of objects. They play an important role in organizing 3D information. Color and depth images are often simultaneously obtained. However, depth images have lower resolution than color images due to limitation in hardware technology. Therefore, it is useful to upsample depth maps to have the same resolution as color images. In this paper, we propose a novel method to upsample depth map by shifting the pixel position instead of compensating pixel value. This approach moves the position of the pixel around the edge to the center of the edge, and this process is carried out in several steps to restore blurred depth map. The experimental results show that the proposed method improves both quantitative and visual quality compared to the existing methods.

  • In this paper, adaptive optimizations of precoder codebook to channel conditions is proposed for a multiuser multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system with split linear array and limited feedback. We propose adaptive method for constructing a precoder codebook by coloring the random vector quantization codebook at each link by using limited long-term feedback information on transmit correlation matrix of each link. It is shown that the proposed multiuser MIMO codebook design scheme outperforms existing multiuser MIMO codebook design schemes for various channel conditions in terms of the average sum throughput of multiuser MIMO systems using zero-forcing maximum eigenmode transmission and limited feedback.

  • This paper proposes a simultaneous hardware resource allocation and binding algorithm for VLSI design. The proposed algorithm works on scheduled input graph and simultaneously allocates binds functional units, interconnections and registers by considering interdependency between operations and storage elements in each control step, in order to share registers and interconnections connected to functional units, as much as possible. Also, the register allocation is especially executes the allocation optima us-ing graph coloring techniques. Therefore the overall resource is reduced. This paper shows the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm by comparing experiments to determine number of functional unit in advance or to separate executing allocation and binding of existing system.

  • In this paper, the author analyzed the PCI (Physical Cell Identification) allocation methods in the LTE (Long Term Evolution) SON (Self Organization Network) environment. A variety of techniques have been proposed for how to allocate PCI, and the LTE standard fundamentally explained that collision between a cell and neighbor cells arise while a cell assign the PCI. Therefore, in this paper, the author examined the scenarios of PCI collision, weak collision, and confusion proposed by LTE specification. In addition, the cell central approach and the distributed approach were discussed as solutions for each scenario. In this paper, the author reviewed the approach of graphic coloring technique which was studied recently and explained the strategy of central approach.

  • Kinect sensor version 2 is a kind of camera released by Microsoft as a computer vision and a natural user interface for game consoles like Xbox one. It allows acquiring color images, depth images, audio input and skeletal data with a high frame rate. In this paper, using depth image, we present a surveillance system of a certain area within Kinect's field of view. With computer vision library(Emgu CV), if an object is detected in the target area, it is tracked and kinect camera takes RGB image to send it in database server. Therefore, a mobile application on android platform was developed in order to notify the user that Kinect has sensed strange motion in the target region and display the RGB image of the scene. User gets the notification in real-time to react in the best way in the case of valuable things in monitored area or other cases related to a reserved zone.

  • This paper proposes an efficient remote video evaluation system that is matched well with personalized characteristics of students using information filtering based on user profile. For making a question in forms of video, a key frame extraction method based on coordinate, size and color information is proposed. And Question-mating intervals are extracted using gray-level histogram difference and time window. Also, question-making method that combined category-based system with keyword-based system is used for efficient evaluation. Therefore, students can enhance their study achievement through both supplementing their inferior area and preserving their interest area.

  • This thesis proposes a face detection algorithm using the color and edge informations in color image. The proposed algorithm segments skin color by Cb and Cr in YCbCr coordinates. Then face candidate regions are made after morphological filtering and labeling. For the regions, the Sobel vortical operation and horizontal projection are performed in the Y luminance components. The peak value indicates the eye location. Similarly, the chin location is detected by the Sobel horizontal operation and horizontal projection. The computer simulation shows that the proposed method gains similar detection rates of previous method and prevent facial region from including neck by detection of chin.

  • The mottling in coated paper is one of the most difficult problems to solve in the area of offset printing. The prevention of mottling requires optimization of coating color formation, especially the minimum of binder migration. In this paper, we studied a mottling. Kaolin clay and CaCO3 as pigment, starch and latex as binder of coating color were used in this study. We have measured surface property of 24 coated samples through k value, mottle value and transferred ink. In the equation of Walker and Fesko, the value of k was the highest and that of mottle and the mount of transferred ink were the lowest in kaolin 60 part. And it is more easy to analyze the various surface of coated paper when sample was exposed on IR.

  • 본 논문에서는 동적인 실제 객체로부터 얻어진 깊이 맵으로부터 3차원 메쉬 모델을 생성할 때, 영상의 경계정보를 기반으로 효율적인 비정규 메쉬를 생성하는 기법을 제안한다. 우선 깊이 맵으로부터 소수의 특징점과 경계영역에서의 실루엣 점을 추출한다. Delaunay 삼각화 기법을 적용할 때 경계 피부에 발생하는 불필요한 삼각형들을 효율적으로 제거하기 위해 실루엣점으로 구성된 경계 라인을 제약조건으로 사용한다. 즉 깊이 맵으로부터 경계 영역 정보를 추출하고 이를 기반으로 관심 객체의 비정규 삼각 메쉬에 존재하는 불필요한 외부 삼각형을 제거한다. 최종적으로 생성된 3차원 메쉬에 포함된 형상 노이즈를 제거하기 위해 메쉬 스무딩 기법을 적용하고, 깊이 맵과 동시에 획득된 컬러 영상을 텍스쳐링하여 3차원 메쉬를 생성한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 영상처리 기능을 통해 손 제스처를 인식하는 알고리즘을 개발하고 이를 활용하여 로봇의 움직임을 원격으로 제어하는 시스템을 구현하였다. 전체 시스템은 손 영상을 획득하는 카메라, 영상처리를 수행하는 컴퓨터, 그리고 LEGO Mindstorm 로봇으로 구성되며, 컴퓨터와 로봇 사이의 통신은 Mindstorm에 내장된 블루투스 기능을 사용하였다. 카메라에서 획득한 영상에서 사람의 손에 해당하는 영역만을 추출하기 위해 먼저 컬러 필터링을 수행하였으며 영상의 신뢰성을 향상시키기 위해 잡음을 제거하는 보정 작업을 거친다. 그리고 무게중심 연산을 통해 손의 중심점을 추정하고 이로부터 일정 거리에 있는 손가락 영역을 추출한다. 마지막으로 펼쳐진 손가락 개수를 구하고 그 개수에 따라 미리 설정된 명령을 로봇에 전송한다. 실험을 통해 조명 상태가 양호하고 배경이 복잡하지 않은 대부분의 환경에서 로봇 원격제어가 성공적으로 이루어짐을 확인하였다.
