In blogspace, there are posts that deal with a common topic and bloggers that are interested in these posts. In this paper, we define a blog community as a group of these bloggers and posts. With a blog community, we can establish various business policies for target marketing, sharing high quality data, and mobilizing the activities in the blogspace. Unlike internet cafes, bloggers participate in blog communities without explicit membership. So, it is not easy to identify the members of a community. In this paper, we propose an effective approach for extracting a blog community that is related to a given topic. First, we choose seed posts that is highly related to a given topic, and select bloggers that are related to the topic with the seed posts. Then, we select posts that are related to the topic with the selected bloggers. By repeating this, we find all the posts and bloggers that are members of the community related to a given topic in blogspace. We verify the superiority of the proposed approach by analyzing extracted blog communities.

블로그 월드에는 동일한 주제와 관련된 포스트들에 공통적으로 관심을 보이는 블로거들이 존재한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 블로거들의 집합을 블로그 커뮤니티(blog community)라 정의한다. 블로그 커뮤니티는 타겟 마케팅, 양질의 정보 공유, 블로그 월드의 활성화 등 다양한 블로그 비즈니스 정책을 수립하는데 활용될 수 있다. 그러나 블로그 커뮤니티는 카페 등과 달리 멤버쉽으로 운영되는 집단이 아니기 때문에 커뮤니티에 속하는 멤버를 쉽게 파악할 수 없다. 본 논문에서는 주어진 주제와 관련된 블로그 커뮤니티를 추출하는 효과적인 방법을 제안한다. 먼저, 주어진 주제에 대한 시드 포스트들을 선택하고, 이 시드 포스트들을 통해서 주제와 관련된 블로거들을 선택한다. 다음으로, 선택된 블로거들을 통해서 주제와 관련된 포스트들을 선택한다. 위와 같은 과정을 반복해 나가면서 블로그 월드에 존재하는 주어진 주제와 관련된 모든 블로거들을 선발한다. 실제 블로그 데이터를 이용한 실험을 통하여 제안하는 방법의 우수성을 검증하였다.

커뮤니티 질의응답 시스템(cQA)은 기존에 구축된 '질문-답' 쌍에서 사용자의 질문과 비교하여 유사도 순으로 결과를 보여주는 시스템이다. 본 논문에서는 '국립국어원'의 질의응답 게시판에 적용 가능한 '커뮤니티 질의응답 시스템'을 소개하고, 국립국어원 질의응답 게시판의 질문 특성을 분석하여 cQA의 성능 향상을 위한 자질 추출 방법을 제시한다.

In this paper, an improved community detection algorithm based on the modularity is proposed. The existing algorithm does not consider the information that the nodes have in checking the possible modularity increase, hence the computation may be inefficient. The proposed algorithm computes the node degree (weight) and sorts them in non-increasing order. By checking the possible modularity value increase for the nodes in the nonincreasing order of node weights, the algorithm finds the final solution more quickly than the existing algorithm does. Through the computational experiments, it is shown that the proposed algorithm finds a modularity as good as the existing algorithm obtains.

In this paper, we analyzed IoT patent data using the social network analysis of keyword community network in patents related to Internet of Things technology. To identify the difference of IoT patent trends between Korea and USA, 100 Korea patents and 100 USA patents were collected, respectively. First, we first extracted important keywords from IoT patent abstracts using the TF-IDF weight and their correlation and then constructed the keyword network based on the selected keywords. Second, we constructed a keyword community network based on the keyword community and performed social network analysis. Our experimental results showed while Korea patents focus on the core technologies of IoT (such as security, semiconductors and image process areas), USA patents focus on the applications of IoT (such as the smart home, interactive media and telecommunications).

도시농업 및 커뮤니티에 대한 사회적 관심에 편승하여 근래 도시의 커뮤니티가든(Community Garden)이 주목받고 있다. 북미의 커뮤니티가든은 농작물 생산 위주의 개인텃밭을 포괄한 지역사회의 구성원과 함께 만들어가는 오픈스페이스의 형태로, 화훼 등을 포괄하는 개념으로 간주되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 커뮤니티가든의 발상지인 북미 중에서도 가장 선진적인 사례로 손꼽히고 있는 미국 워싱턴주 시애틀(Seattle)시의 피패치(P-Patch)를 대상으로, 85개의 현장 전수조사를 통하여 공간설계 및 디자인요소를 추출하여 시사점을 도출하였다. 분석결과, 첫째 시애틀 피패치의 일반적인 디자인 구성요소는 기반시설, 지원시설, 휴게시설, 특수시설, 친환경시설 등 다섯 가지 기능으로 대별할 수 있는데, 지원시설로는 공구함(Tool Shed)이나 수전시설(Spigot)이, 친환경시설로는 도마(Cutting Board)나 퇴비함(Compost Bin)이 대부분 설치되어 있다. 둘째, 피패치의 공간구성 및 디자인적 특징으로는 이용자 수요 및 입지적 특성을 반영한 유연한 정원 설계를 들 수 있다. 셋째, 피패치는 다목적형 기능을 겸비한 복합적 공공장소로서 공공의 제도적 지원과 시민운동을 연계하는 기회를 제공하고 있다. 넷째, 지속가능성을 담보하기 위해 다양한 이해관계자(이용자, 코디네이터, 운영진, 전문가, 지역주민, 자원봉사자 등)와의 파트너십 구축, 다양한 재원 조달 방안 모색, 체계적인 모니터링 시스템 구축 및 운영을 지속하고 있다.

최근 Web 2.0 발달과 더불어 블로그나 온라인 카페 등 웹 상의 사용자가 개인적인 정보를 자유롭게 개제할 수 있도록 하는 인터넷서비스가 증가하면서, 이 사용자들 간의 관계에 초점을 맞춘 소셜 네트워크 분양의 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 하지만 많은 소셜 네트워크 서비스가 정보자원을 컴퓨터가 처리할 수 있는 의미적인 정보로 표현하고 있지 않기 때문에 서로 다른 도메인 간에 공유와 재사용이 어렵고, 사회적 개체들 간의 관계가 명확하게 정의되어 있지 않아 소셜 네트워크 분석에 어려움이 있다. 본 논문에서는 가상 커뮤니티 사용자들이 업로드 한 사진 데이터를 이용한 시맨틱 웹 기반의 소셜 네트워크 분석 시스템을 제안한다. 온톨로지를 기반으로 사진에서 추출된 얼굴 개체와의 관계와 이미 인맥 관계를 형성하고 있는 사람들의 정보적 연결성을 명확하게 정의하고 도메인 규칙을 활용하여 의미 있는 사회적 연결 관계를 추론한다. 이를 그래프로 시각화하여 사용자에게 제공함으로써 온라인 상에서 형성된 커뮤니티 내에서 효율적인 소셜 네트워크 분석을 도모하고 이를 기반으로 다양한 응용 분야에 활용하는 방법을 모색한다.

In order to assist user's who are in the process of executing a search, a query expansion method suggests keywords that are related to an input query. Recently, several studies have suggested keywords that are identified by finding domains using a clustering method over the documents that are retrieved. However, the clustering method is not relevant when presenting various domains because the number of clusters should be fixed. This paper proposes a method that suggests keywords by finding various domains related to the input queries by using a community detection algorithm. The proposed method extracts words from the top-30 documents of those that are retrieved and builds communities according to the word graph. Then, keywords representing each community are derived, and the represented keywords are used for the query expansion method. In order to evaluate the proposed method, we compared our results to those of two baseline searches performed by the Google search engine and keyword recommendation using TF-IDF in the search results. The results of the evaluation indicate that the proposed method outperforms the baseline with respect to diversity.

This study examined the type of needs involved in the activities of a virtual community and the impart of gender on online participants' needs and 'perceived control behavior'. In addition, the study tried to figure out how people behave on certain factors. The survey was conducted to 230 local students who have experienced online community activities. The study results showed there were three factors related to a virtual community, 'relational need', 'entertainment need', 'instrumental need'. There was, however, no significant effect between gender and the type of needs, and between gender and 'perceived behavior control'. The results also showed that 'entertainment need' is the most important factor to predict a virtual community participation. This might not Imply the improvement of information technologies helps us return to the communities in which Individuals have a close and affectionate relationship each other.

최근 컴퓨터 게임에 등장하는 NPC(Non-player Character)에 각종 인공지능 기법을 적용하는 연구들이 이루어지고 있다. 하지만 대부분의 연구가 플레이어를 상대하는 적대적 입장의 NPC들의 움직임 조절에 초점을 맞추고 있고 아직까지 게임 상에서 등장하는 모든 NPC는 항상 같은 말과 비슷한 행동을 되풀이하는 모습만을 보여주고 있다. 이는 플레이어가 게임을 비현실적으로 느끼게 만들고 결과적으로 게임의 재미를 저하시키는 요소로 작용한다. 플레이어에게 보다 현실적인 게임 환경을 제공하기 위해서는 NPC가 단순히 게임의 배경을 구성하는 오브젝트가 아니라 다양한 대화를 통해 플레이어에게 많은 영향을 주게 하여 게임의 기여도를 높여주어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 이를 위해 게임 속에서 주어지는 퀘스트를 구성하는 NPC, 몬스터, 보상 등의 속성 정보를 온톨로지로 구성하고, 인터넷에 존재하는 게임 커뮤니티에서 퀘스트 질의/응답 게시판의 글을 추출하여, 플레이어의 관련 질의에 응답하는 NPC를 구현하고자 한다. 이를 위해 온톨로지 정보를 이용한 검색 알고리즘을 구현하였고, 시뮬레이션을 통해 NPC가 커뮤니티 게시글(국문/영문) 정보를 이용하여 유저에게 고정되지 않은 다양한 메시지를 전달하면서 동시에 유저의 게임 진행을 도와주는 모습을 확인하였다.
