The Current State and Activating Strategies of Korea's Maker Movement : Focusing on the Effect of Maker Community Participation (국내 메이커 운동(Maker Movement)의 현황 및 활성화 방안 연구: 메이커 커뮤니티 참여 효과 중심으로)

  • This study investigated the current state of Korean Maker Movement and explored the ways for activating Maker Movement in Korea. To do this purpose, we analyzed the data of 'A survey of the Korea Maker Movement in the second half of 2018', conducted by Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science & Creativity involved 20's~50's Koreans. As a results, first, awareness, interest and behavior intention of Maker Movement was not high in Korea. Second, there were significant different between participants and non-participants of Maker Community in Maker awareness and Maker activities. Third, the positive relation between Maker Community participation and Maker Orientation is parallel multiple mediated by Maker activating motives such as fun, relieving stress, expressing own idea, saving cost, social recognition. Lastly, based upon the results, we presented several ways to activate Maker Movement in Korea.

Effects of Online Community Characteristics on Customer Reaction - Based on the Differences of Customer's Gender and Self-Construal Level (온라인 커뮤니티특징이 소비자 반응에 미치는 영향 - 소비자의 성별과 자기해석 수준차이를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out how the online brand community characteristics affect customer behavior according to self-construal level and gender difference. The characteristics of online community are divided into interaction, objectivity, information provision, and activity reward. First, interactivity and activity compensation among the characteristics of online community have a positive effect on brand community commitment. On the other hand, the effect of purpose and information provision is insufficient. Second, the greater the commitment to the brand community, the higher the WOM effect is. Finally, this study shows that customers with dependent self-construal tendencies have more brand community support than customers with independent self-construal tendencies, and females show more brand community support than males. This study suggests an efficient marketing approach to companies through a brand community commitment by understanding the intrinsic motivation of consumers' self-construal level.

  • Importance of online community has been increased and also online community has been used as an important marketing tool. The purposes of this study are to construct an instrument to evaluate service quality of online community service and have a further discussion of the relationship between service quality dimensions, customer satisfaction, intention to move. According to our findings, among the determinants of service quality, empathy strongly influences both of consumer satisfaction and intention to move. The determinants of service quality which positively influences consumer satisfaction are empathy, tangibles and responsiveness. Empathy and assurance negatively influence intention to move. This means that the service quality of online community affects customer retention. Also, understanding and reflecting customer needs are more important.

  • This study conducts to examine the effect of purchase intention on social shopping by connection density and centrality which is a structural characteristic of social network. Furthermore, this study suggests and analyses the difference of social shopping purchase intention between online community which focuses on a group and SNS(social network service) which focuses on an individual. To examine these reason, this study proposes hypotheses that reflects structural characteristic then analyses them. The result of analysis shows that the purchase intention on social shopping seems to be high when the density of connection is high and the purchase intention seems to be high when the centrality is high as well. Moreover, there is difference in the purchase intention on social shopping between online community and SNS and it is found that both cases where the connection density is high in the online community and the connection centrality is high in SNS have significant impact on the purchase intention. Based on these results, this study provides an implication on the importance on network structure in social network and social shopping and to increase the purchase intention of social shopping, this study suggests the implication on the importance and direction which understands the structure of social network type.

The Preliminary Study for Development of Occupational Therapy Model Focused on Improving Living Functions within the Community Care System (커뮤니티 케어 제도 내 생활기능 향상 중심의 작업치료 모델 개발을 위한 기초 연구)

  • Objective : This study conducted a preliminary study to develop a occupational therapy model focused on improving living functions within the community care system. Methods : From June to July, 2018, the literature on community care was researched, focusing on cases of Japan's Management Tool for Daily Life Performance (MTDLP), Sweden, United Kingdom, Germany and domestic S Elderly Care Centers and I Health Centers. Based on this information, a group of experts developed a occupational therapy model within the community care system. Results : Assessment tools such as occupation-based health promotional table, interest checklist, occupational goals for improving living functions, sheet for evaluation of living functions, survey of daily life time (weekday and weekend), and sheet for transition of living functions were developed to conduct evaluation for occupational therapy. The improving living functions program, analysis of activities based on ICF model, lifestyle redesign program, cognitive exercise therapy, the Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT), hospice, and home modification were also organized interventions already in place by occupational therapists. Conclusion : This study showed specific measures and models for the implementation of occupational therapy within community care systems. Occupational therapy is positioned as a specialized area that is essential to the client, and we look forward to the use of this model.

  • The current e-CRM has been used in various types of e-business. Since the study of e-CRM for the promotion of online community sites are rarely studied, we attempt to analyze the case of broadcasting and suggest the promotion model focusing on the characteristic factors for a successive online community. That is, as a result of analyzing the online community cases for broadcasting, we know that the Internet community site of broadcasting has grown in the order of contents, community and then commerce. According to the case analysis, we have presented an e-CRM promotion model consisting of four phases: customer attraction, customer maintenance, customer enhancement, and customer activation. The e-CRM model suggested in this study may be used as a theoretical basis and practical guideline for further research in relation to e-CRM and e-business.

  • Community revitalization programs in New York State are community centralized projects, and this approach is pretty much general in the united states. However, local communities do not have enough funds, human resources, technical knowledge and useful data. Even though State governments have their own supporting systems, they are not able to support all that communities need and ask. State governments are, on the other hand, trying to develop the most efficient supporting system for the community revitalization programs as a part of community development. US federal government supports funds as well. New York state government makes connections with other states, local governments, universities, and other useful groups, and reorganizes all possible resources for New York state communities. This supporting system helps that local leaders and community residents can tackle regionally specific issues and opportunities. This paper shows how New York state implements community revitalization programs with the community supporting system. This research also shows how to organize and manage the community involvements in the planning process through the case study of the Black River Vision Plan/ City of Watertown that an author had participated in.
