This study aims to provide some rosie material for the libraries to improve its role for supporting the virtual university by recognizing the changing roles to have to support the distance education which is becoming a growing area in the coming new century due to the necessity of continuing renewal and the retaining of the information related workers. Through the study, a few conclusions were derived. (1) To support the virtual university, the library services should be directed toward the operation of the full access - philosophy and should reflect the information needs of the off-campus students. The librarians should be equipped with the ability to make use of networked resources and to provide the document delivery services together with the ability to develop the web-based user training programs. The department of library and Information Science should educate the future librarian for the purpose of supporting the virtual university. (2) A written and agreed guidelines should be established to specify the philosophy, management, facilities, resources and services to support the virtual university. And it is desirable that in the near future the department and a librarian responsible for the supporting the distance education should be established.

According as demand for superannuated building increases recently, much researches about demolition method of construction are going on. This case study executed to center library building located in Dankook University. Explosives demolition method applied Progressive Collapse. Explosives demolition main blasting floors are 2, 4floor, assistance blasting floor is 1 floor. In the nearest distance (150 m), Vibration measurement result were 0.0302 cm/sec (PPV). Change was not in measurement value is crack gauge which install beforehand.

최근 대학도서관들은 정보화 환경에 대한 능동적 대처를 위하여 많은 노력을 기울이고 있다. 교수나 학생의 연구, 교육, 학습에 필요한 각종 전자 정보원을 한 장소에서 검색, 열람이 가능하고 대학의 구성원들에게 새로운 정보기술과 정보의 활용 능력을 교육시키기 위한 다양한 기능을 가진 하나의 복합 공간으로서 전자 정보실 또는 멀티미디어실(이하 멀 티미디어실) 등을 설치, 운영하고 있다 그러나 아직도 대학도서관 내의 멀티미디어실의 역할과 개념이 모호하다는 지적이 나오고 있다. 이러한 가운데 운영면에서도 표준 솔루션의 부재로 관리 전산화가 이루어져 있는 곳이 부족하여 인력 및 시간의 낭비가 초래되고 이용자 관리에 있어서 어려움을 겪고 있는 실정이다. 체계적인 운영이 이루어지지 않고서는 양질의 서비스 제공은 기대하기 어려울 것이다. 따라서 전국 대학 도서관에 적용할 수 있는 표준적인 멀티미디어실 관리 시스템의 개발이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 UML(Unified Modeling Language) 기반의 정보시스템 구축 방법론을 제시하고, 제시된 방법론의 유효성(effectiveness)을 검증하기 위하여, 본 방법론에 입각하여 동국대학교 경주캠퍼스의 멀티미디어실 업무 프로세스를 분석 설계하였다. 시스템 구현을 위해서, 데이터 베이스로는 Oracle RDBMS를, 개발도구로는 Visual Basic 6.0을 사용하였다 본 논문에서 구현된 시스템을 통하여 멀티미디어실의 효과적인 운영관리에 대한 기반정립에 기여하고, 향후 장기적인 발전계획 수립에 하나의 도구로서 사용될 수 있다고 판단된다.

The library is the most frequently utilized building on campus, but, it has been reported to be a facility most vulnerable to crime. However, almost no study has been conducted on crime in the library, which implies a need for research on the subject. The purpose of this study is specifically twofold. First, this study will suggest components of environmental plan to prevent fear over library crime on campus. Second, the study seeks to reveal the correlation between use per library space and fear of crime. This has been analyzed by conducting a survey among current university students, and the survey includes the following three details: first, fear over day/night crime per library space; second, components of environmental plan to prevent fear over crime per library space; third, level of use per library space on campus. The results of study show that fear of crime has low relation with crime occurrence, fear per library space is higher during the night than during the day, and the space where the fear level is usually high is the service facility. There is a difference for each space in terms of important components of environmental plan to prevent crime per library space, and installation of security device is most important. One must consider a plan for a crime safe environment regarding library space where the level of use during the day is low.

The user satisfaction and needs of an academic library were caught through a questionnaire survey in this study. The aim of this study is to draw up the CRM based plan for meeting user needs on the study. The users' demographic information, library resources & their use, homepage, services, and facilities/environment of the library were categorized in the questionnaire and analyzed for this study. The major conclusions of this study are: (1) The library resources use was the highest, and its facilities/environment was the lowest in the user satisfaction study. It also revealed that there are much necessities for the quick acquisition and dissemination of the requested material to the library users, and for the inter-library loan (ILL) services among campuses for the subscription books in the library resources use study, too; (2) There are a lot of necessities for the improvement of OPAC retrieval and the subscription books system, and menu rearrangement in the library homepage; (3) There are a lot of necessities for the plans of more frequent library event, more detailed event guidance, and more reinforcement of public relations such as SMS, push services of SDI etc. in the library user services; and (4) There are a lot of necessities for the improved policies to the complaints of library users such as the lack of common study place and lockers, air conditioning and heating problem, complaints about facilities management of restroom (lack of toilet paper), library accessibility on campus, unauthorized user management etc. in the facilities/environment of the library.

The study aims at constructing adaptation model, CampusQual, to evaluate the services which Tsinghua provides for Korean Students. The study is based on ServQual's "expectation-feeling difference" via conducting a survey on satisfaction on their campus life. We implement a survey including 30 questions in 5 sections: demographic statistics, study & information literacy, campus life, social & culture and regulations. Then through CampusQual model, we analyze the Korean students' adaptation level. CampusQual is a new service model that would enable Korean students to better live and study in universities in China. It also provides feasible suggestions and guidance for administrators on improving campus services for Korean Students.

The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship between the reading circle management with college students and the participation program in the reading camp. The results show that the participation program in reading camp helps the activation on reading circle. The college students'activity on reading camp increases reading activity because students can work with the graduates and get the graduates'reading activity experience. Also, the activity on reading camp encourages reading circle members to work so that they continue their activity after graduation. Students on reading circle usually work hard during semester but during closing of college, they seldom work. The participation program in reading camp, however, can bridge over the gap during the vacation.

강원전문대학신축설계경기의 당선작이 지난 6월21일 발표되었다. 총 9개의 작품이 응모한 이번 설계경기에서는 주.엄앤드이건축사 사무소(이각표)와 주.종합건축사사무소 산(한광호)의 공동안이 당선작으로 선정되었으며 주.건축사사무소 원.시공.형제(정상원)와, 주,건축사종합건축사사무소(공순구)의 안이 각각 우수작으로 선정되었다. 이 설계경기는 강릉시 주문진의 주문진소속고등학교 4만 8천여평 부지의 기존교사동, 실습동 증축과 대학본관, 도서관 등을 비롯 부대시설을 건립하는 것으로, 한국교육개발원의 '강원전문대설립방안 및 중.장기발전계획연구'에 의거 전문대학의 설립이념 및 목적, 설치학과 및 학생정원, 시설확충계획의 반영, 옥외시설 오픈스페이스 등을 충분히 고려하여야하는 것을 기본 설계방향으로 잡았다. 이번 심사는 한봉기(기획관), 이중근(건설교통국장)과 강원대, 관동대, 삼척산업대, 춘천교육대의 건축 및 조경학과 교수 등 총 10명이 맡았다. 당선된 주.엄앤드이건축사사무소와, 주.종합건축사사무소 산의 공동안은 적절한 조닝캠퍼스 내외의 접근성양호와 보차분리와 토지이용계획의 우수 등 여러 부분에서 심사위원들의 높은 점수를 받았다.
