The Proportion of Game Character and Game Image (게임캐릭터의 등신비율과 게임이미지)

  • Since the advent of digital games with hardware development a key component of the game characters are changed to retard the rate at which types of users based on their favorite theory of human proportion. Many popular to gamers in the game according to the change in the retard rate in a unique image of the character. Studies on the head and body proportion are thought that up to now been insufficient. The purpose of this study is to examine a fundamental human proportion that has importance as a molding factor in the game character development, it investigated the characteristics of the game character, and classifying the retard rate of the game character, through the research method of analyzing the results, into the retard rate look for and investigate studying the effect on future game images. Five types of game characters that make up the analysis were analyzed with a unique image, and the more specialized users prefer retard rate, the figurative exaggeration to retard rate than the actual main body. Utilizing a bit exaggerated the difficulties of the character looks relatively small proportion character in the graphic wallpaper increased visibility. The proportion of a game character through the study is considered as a very important factor as the game image in the game development.

  • 컴퓨터 게임속의 새롭고 독특한 주인공을 만들어 내는 게임 제작을 위해 캐릭터의 '유전자 설계'를 해야 한다. 이렇게 탄생하는 캐릭터들은 性을 비롯해, 모양, 크기, 색깔 등 모든 특성을 포함하는 게놈(Genome)을 갖고 있는 것이다. 게임 캐릭터의 유전자 설계를 통해 불가능한 것은 없다. 돌연변이, 수명의 결정, 후천적인 캐릭터 계승, 그리고 학습된 행동까지 지정할 수 있는 것이다. 컴퓨터 게임에서는 좋아하는 어떤 것이다 디자인 할 수 있다.

  • It makes an appearance that multi-media of Avatar, Cyber-Character, Cyber-Pet, Emoticon caused by Web-Environment advancement. Internet-User was fascinated by anonymous name of Web in the past but a desire goes on increasing to express oneself using the multi-media characters. Therefore, this study investigates that the feature of avatar character different from the general characters as making a survey of preference of avatar characters type in the various multi-media characters and presenting an efficient method at the making avatar characters. Consequently, the most efficient avatar characters type have to be concerned about functional factors rather than feature, feeling. exactly, it must be make conspicuous to personality of user and must make suitableness type of personality.

  • As the importance of realistic game character in order to cause the interest of player is increased, it is necessary to develop the character that acts like a man by applying the human characteristics in the step of game character design. Formerly, there is a limit to create the human-like character because there is no set the character's personality in the game developing level. In this paper, therefore, we propose the correlation between Five Factor Model and Ego-state for game character. Five Factor Model and Ego-state are theories about person's characteristic. Five Factor Model is personality description method. Ego-state has an emphasis on internal mental processes directly from observable behaviors. In this regard, these theories could be used to the character defined its personality and designed to act by personality. To do this, it needs to determine the relations between Five Factor Model and Ego-state. Therefore we seek for the relations between two theories using Adjective Check List(ACL) and analysis their results with surveys. In the future, it is expected to construct a personality model using these analysis results, and develop the character based on realistic behavior.

  • 캐릭터의 자동 생성이란 영상처리 기법을 이용하여 사람의 얼굴에서 특징을 추출하고, 이 특징들을 기반으로 독특한 캐릭터를 자동으로 얻어내는 방법을 의미한다. 본 논문에서는 사람마다의 얼굴의 특성에 기반한 캐릭터를 자동으로 생성하기 위하여 얼굴의 각 구성요소들의 특징을 효과적으로 추출하기 위한 방법을 제시한다. 얼굴을 구성하는 각각의 요소들의 특징을 추출하고, 추출된 특징을 바탕으로 각 구성요소에 해당하는 데이터베이스를 검색하여 특징을 잘 표현할 수 있는 그림을 선택한다. 최종적으로 선택된 그림들은 원 이미지의 비율에 맞도록 재구성하여 얼굴 캐릭터를 생성한다.

  • 애니메이션의 사전제작과정에서 캐릭터의 보다 효율적 제작, 분석, 평가을 위해 시각적 모델화및 데이터 베이스 구축이 필요했다. 캐릭터의 체격과 기질 관계를 조명하기 위해 W. 셀던의 체격기질유형 이론으로부터 정형화된 분석 틀을 구축하여 개념을 시각화하고 유형분석 모델을 만들었으며, 또한 케이스 스터디를 위해 세 애니메이션에 나타난 캐릭터의 유형들을 분석함으로써 모델의 적용 가능성과 나아가 애니메이션의 캐릭터에서 표현된 외적 형상과 내적 기질의 상관성을 추론하여 실제 적용이 가능한 기초적 데이터가 되도록 하였다.

  • Recently, there has been growing interest in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, with a particular focus on the advancement of augmented reality (AR) devices. However, there is a shortage of AR content. Augmented reality operates through marker-based and markerless methods. The marker-based approach involves using a camera to capture images that serve as markers, enhancing them through AR principles. To address the scarcity of AR content and improve the quality of character goods, this study proposes integrating AR technology into character goods. The character industry is expanding each year, leading to a diverse range of character goods. Character acrylic stands, among these goods, leverage game, webtoon, and animation character IPs for sales. To enhance the design process, we utilized the character image as a marker, allowing for the creation of content that aligns with the characteristics of the character IP. We selected a webtoon character and developed AR content, incorporating features such as voice, speech bubbles, and an introduction to the webtoon, tailored to the webtoon's characteristics. This study demonstrates the potential of AR to present visual and auditory information, paving the way for a variety of products, including diverse content. We anticipate that utilizing this research will lead to the emergence of products encompassing various contents.

Analysis of Expression Types of Character Animation TV Advertisements (캐릭터애니메이션 TV광고의 표현유형 분석 연구)

  • In the 2000s, character animation technique is used at domestic TV character animation ads of diverse items displaying new character patterns and expression techniques of a high level. This study intends to identify the characteristics of TV character animation ads based ell character aesthetic theory and advertising rhetoric theory, and based on these findings, analyze trend and stream of expression in TV character animation ads by examining and classifying advertisements released in the past four years by items, character patterns and expression techniques. The results showed that TV character animation ads have been concentrated on confectionery, beverages and foods in the past, but the items have been diversified through the years. With reference to character patterns, personal and animal characters had made the main pattern, but recently product, virtual and composite characters are on the increase. In expression techniques, cell animation technique was found to be the most frequently used technique, which was followed by full-3D, cell and live action, cell and 3D and the clay animation technique. A trend like this suggests that TV character animation advertising items will continue to increase in line with the participation level of targets. In the meantime, personal and animal characters will continue to make the leading character pattern, while virtual and composite character patterns emerge in new forms. In expression techniques, live action combined with 30 technique and techniques using new expression materials will appear with cell animation technique as a central figure. As a whole, Korean character animation advertisement is expected to keep on growing to a new dimension in the aspect of items, character patterns and expression technique.

  • 현재 인터넷을 기반으로 일반인들에 많은 인기를 얻고 있는 게임의 대부분은 대규모 클라이언트를 수용하는 게임이다. 이러한 게임에서 개발자들은 클라이언트들에게 더 많은 흥미를 주기 위하여 다양한 형태의 캐릭터를 제공한다. 게임에서 사용되는 캐릭터는 인간을 닮은 것도 있지만, 의인화된 동물이나 사물도 많다. 그리고 게임에서 다양한 캐릭터들의 행동도 캐릭터에 부여되는 특성만큼 다양하다. 이러한 캐릭터들을 소프트웨어적으로 설계하기 위해서는 객체지향적인 언어의 사용이 많은 편리함을 제공해준다. 본 논문에서는 롤플레잉게임(Role-Playing Game)에서 보편적으로 등장하는 몇몇 캐릭터를 분석하여 클래스를 설계하고, 이들 클래스의 상속과 합성 기법을 통하여 게임 소프트웨어 설계에 효율적으로 사용할 수 있는 설계기법과 인터페이스를 이용해 캐릭터 클래스를 한 개의 형(Type)으로 묶을 수 있는 설계 기법을 제안한다.
