Experiment for Various Soils on Economic Duty of Water in Paddy Fields (각종토성별 경제적용수량 결정시험연구)

  • In Korea, the duty of water in paddy fields was measured at the Agricultural Experimental Station in Suwon about 60 years ago. After that time some testing has been made in several places, but the key points in its experiment were the water depth of evapo-transpiration. Improved breeds, progress in cultivation and management techniques as well as development of measuring apparatus in recent years have necessitated the review of the duty of water in paddy fields. The necessity of reviewing the conventional methods has become even more important, as no source of information has been made available through survey of water utilization on a soil use basis which requires data on peculiar features of the water depth of evapo-transpiration. For example, the duty of water in paddy field is largely affected by the water depth of evapo-transpiration in connection with the wetted paddy field, whereas in connection with the normal paddy fields without this characteristic the vertical percolation become the predominant factor in measuring the decreasing depth of water. Therefore, it becomes important. that not only the water depth of evapotranspiration but also the vertical percolation process should also be observed in order to arrive at a realistic conclusion. As the vertical percolation has aclose relationship to the height of the underground water, the change of the latter can be measured. As the conclusion of this experiment, the following subjects are indicated. 1. In order to determine the economic duty of water in paddy fields on a basis of varying soil features, the varying soil features in the benifited area should be investigated thoroughly. The water depths of evapo-transpiration(ET) ratio to evaporation in the evaporator(V) on a basis of the varying soil features are as follows: clay loam ET/V = 1.11, loam ET/V = 1.64, sandy loam ET.V = 1.63 2. The decreasing depth of water consists of the water depth of evapotranspiration, the vertical per colation and the percolation of foot path. Among these three, the percolation of foot path can be utilized again. 3. As the result of this experiment, it shows the decreasing depth of water as follows. clay loam 9.3 mm/day, loam 13.5mm/daty, sandy loam 15.3mm/day 4. On a basis of the varying soil features and the height of the underground water, the vertical percolation varies. 5. The change of the vertical percolation on a basis of the varying soil features shows as follows: clay loam $1{\sim}2$ mm/day, loam $2{\sim}3$mm/day, sandy loam $3{\sim}4$mm/day 6. The level of the underground water changes sensibly by priority of clay loam, loam, sandy loam. When it rains, the level of the underground water rises fast and falls down slowly. 7. The level of the underground water changes within the scope of 25cm 8. The transpiration ratio is given in table 8 and their value are as follows: clay loam 168.8, loam 255.6, sandy loam 272.5

  • This study dealts with the penetration of methyl methacrylate(MMA) monomer-solvent system into five Korean major tree species, especially the Pinus koraiensis S. et Z., Pinus densiflora S. et Z., Larix leptoiepis Gordon, Quercus serrata Thunb. and Betula platyphylla var japonica Hara. In this report I described the results of the interaction between wood and polymer loading by catalyst-heat polymerization. On the other hand the influence of penetration of polymer loading on dimensional stabilization on WPC of Pinus koraiensis by catalyst-heat polymerization was also investigated.

  • 제로트러스트 도입을 검토하고 있는 조직은 제로트러스트를 구성하는 6개 핵심요소에 대한 자신의 성숙도 수준을 측정하여 목표 수준과의 차이를 식별한 후, 목표 성숙도 수준 달성을 위한 제로트러스트 도입계획을 수립하고, 도입 후 목표 성숙도 수준의 달성정도를 정량적으로 확인할 수 있어야 한다. 이를 위한 접근법 또한 제로트러스트의 기본철학(Never Trust, Always Verify)을 준수해야 하므로, 가장 효과적인 방법은 공격자 관점의 침투시험(Penetration Test, 모의해킹)을 도입하는 것이다. 본 연구는 침투시험을 기반으로 제로트러스트 핵심요소별 성숙도를 측정하는 방법과 제로트러스트 도입 전후 보안성 향상 정도를 정량적으로 측정하는 방법을 제시한다.

Field Investigation of Chloride Penetration and Evaluation of Corrosion Characteristics for Deicer (염화물 침투 현장조사 및 제설제에 따른 부식특성)

  • Deicer has been generally used for prevention of a road freezing in winter, and the usage amount is increasing every year. However, deicer may induce the decrease of bond strength, surface scaling, and environmental pollution. In this study, the field test was performed to investigate the deterioration of concrete road structures used for 17 years. And, the corrosion resistance characteristics were compared for the existing deicer and eco-friendly deicer. According to the field test results, the penetration depth of limit chloride amount was about 40mm, and the average concentration of chloride was $3.45kg/m^3$ at the surface of structures. On the contrary, the carbonation depth was slight. The penetration depth of eco-friendly deicer was less than the existing deicer, and the corrosion resistance of eco-friendly deicer was higher.

Preparation and Characteristics of $Al_2O_3/TZP$ Composites Using Liquid Infiltration Technique (액상침투법을 이용한 $Al_2O_3/TZP$ 복합체의 제조 및 특성)

  • Two kinds of $Al_2O_3/TZP$ composites were prepared using the liquid infiltration of 3Y-TZP and 12Ce-TZP precursors into hte sintered porous $Al_2O_3$. Small TZP additions(~11.0wt%) had increased the strength(19~59%) and fracture toughness(14~157%) of the sintered Al2O3 material($1600^{\circ}C$, 2h). The addition of 3Y-TZP was effective on case of the strength. By the way, in case of the fracture toughness that of 12Ce-TZP was effective. Infiltrated TZP was concentrated on the surface where its grain growth was enhanced and $Al_2O_3$ grain growth was effectively inhibit-ed, when compared to the inner region of the composite. The indentation crack was propagated through both intergranular modes and transgranular and the proportion if intergranular fracture was the larger in $Al_2O_3/12Ce-TZP$.

A Experimental Study on the Variation of the Pore-water Pressure in the Soil Slope during the Rainfall (강우시 토사사면내의 간극수압변화에 관한 실험적 고찰)

  • In this research, model tests have been performed for researching the seepage characteristics in the finite soil slope during the rainfall using a manufactured rainfall simulator. On the basis of the results, it has been analyzed how to change the seepage characteristics due to the duration time of rainfall. We are found that the pore-water pressure was gradually increased as increasing the duration time of rainfall. Specially, at the beginning of rainfall, the pore-water pressure in the middle surface of slope was measured larger than any point. As increasing the duration time of rainfall, the pore-water pressure at the inner part of slope was increased greatly at the collapse due to infiltrating the pore-water within the slope. In the research, it was not easy to get various test results because measuring instruments are high sensitivity and difficult to handle. For the future, the model test results are needed for the various slope angle.

도공층의 공극 구조와 인쇄후 잉크의 잔류거동에 관한 연구

  • 종이가 가지는 공극 특성은 종이의 광학적 특성에 지대한 영향을 미칠 뿐만 아니라 인쇄용 지로서 사용될 때 잉크의 다공성 기질로서 잉크의 잔류 특성에도 큰 영향을 미친다. 특히 다공성 기지의 표변에 유동성이 뛰어난 물질이 가해 질 때, 이들의 유동 특성은 기질이 지 니고 있는 공극율과 공극의 분포에 따라 큰 차이를 나타내는 것으로 알려져 있다. 이러한 공극성은 백상지의 경우 사용된 펄프의 혼합 비율과 충전제의 사용량 그리고 펄프의 고해 정도에 따라 종이의 공극울이 달라진다. 종이의 공극성이 광학적 특성과 밀접한 연관성을 지니는 것은 종이의 광산란 계수를 결정하기 때문이다. 잘 알려진 바와 같이 종이의 광산란 계수는 빛의 산란과 관계되어 백색도와 백감도에 영향을 미친다. 그러나 도공지가 인쇄 용 지로 사용 될 경우, 도공지 표면에 도피되는 영크층은 도공지가 가지고 있는 구조적 특성을 변화시킬 수 있는 제3의 요인으로 간주 될 수 있다. 결국, 인쇄가 완료된 종이의 경우 원지층, 도공층 그리고 잉크층으로 구성된다. 따라서 다양 한 공극 구조를 가지는 기질위에 잉크가 도피될 경우 기질의 공극 특성에 따라 잉크 조성분 의 침투 거동에도 많은 차이가 있을 것으로 예측된다. 잉크의 구성 요소를 살펴보면 잉크의 색상을 결정하는 안료, 단일의 각 안료 입자를 도포하여 인쇄판으로부터 종이까지 운송시키 는 기능과 인쇄기에서 잉크의 유동성을 유지하고 종이 또는 기타 피인쇄체에 전이된 후에는 건조막을 형성하는 비히클 그리고 각종 기능성 첨가제로 구성되어 있다. 동일한 성분으로 구성된 잉크를 사용하여 각각 공극성이 다른 피인쇄체 위에 인쇄 될 경우 이들 조성분의 이 동과 표면 잔류 특성에 변화가 있을 것으로 생각된다. 즉 공극성이 풍부한 기질에 도피된 잉크는 반대의 경우와 비교하여 보다 많은 조성분이 종이의 공극 속으로 침투하게 될 것이 다. 이 과정에서 특히 미세한 안료 입자의 경우 피인쇄체의 표면 공극을 채우고, 비히클의 경우 미세한 공극속으로 침투되어 경화됨으로써 피인쇄체가 지니고 있는 공극량을 감소시커 게 될 것이다. 그리고 피인쇄체의 각종 형태의 공극으로 침투된 잉크의 양에 반비례적으로 피인쇄체의 표변에 잉크가 잔류하게 될 것이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 여러가지 안료를 사용하여 각각 다른 공극 특성을 지니는 도공지를 제조한 후 이들이 가지는 공극 특성과 잉크의 잔류 거동에 대해 고찰해 보고자 하였다.

Impacts of Fresh and Saline Groundwater Development in Sungsan Watershed, Jeju Island (제주도 성산유역의 담수와 염수 지하수 개발의 영향)

  • Saline groundwater, in addition to fresh groundwater, is actively developed for inland aqua culture in Jeju Island where groundwater is practically the only source of freshwater. In this work we analyzed impacts of saline and fresh groundwater development on groundwater systems in Sungsan subwatershed in Jeju. A sharp-interface model was used to simulate fresh and saline groundwater flows. Withdrawal of freshwater imparted adverse impacts by lowering groundwater level and inducing saltwater encroachment. Withdrawal of saline water imparted mixed results: on one hand it lowered groundwater level, on the other hand it reduced saltwater encroachments. However, freshwater development lowered groundwater level much more than salinewater development did. Modified Ghyben-Herzberg ratio was developed for a transition zone with finite width. Comparison against observed data resulted in fair agreement.

Hydraulic Characteristic Analysis of Final Closing considering Non-Darcy Flow (Non-Darcy 흐름특성을 고려한 최종체절 수리특성분석)

  • The simulation results of final closing by the developed model considering the flows through tide embankment of non-Darcy and through sluice gate agree well to the observed data which shows the model applicability. In comparative analysis with observed data, the simulation results by Homma(1958) are more accurate than those by Na(1987). The free flow equation with discharge coefficient, regardless of free or submerged flows, by Na based on the submergence ratio is applicable to the engineering practices. Because two simulated discharges are greater than the actual one, the correction of discharge coefficients reflecting the irregular section of actual closing gap situation is necessary. In the hydraulic analysis of final closing, the flow through tide embankment has been generally analysed by Darcy. Hydraulic analysis by the correct discharge through tide embankment of non-Darcy flow is necessary, because the ratio between flows through tide embankment and closing gap is relatively great at final closing.

Demonstration Study of Half-Saturated Bio-filter Wetland with Recirculation Pump for Road Stormwater (반포화 순환 여과식 인공습지에 의한 도로 강우유출수의 실증처리 연구)

  • In this study, field-scale half-saturated bio-filter wetland equipped with recirculation system was operated with stormwater from the paved road, and its operational performance and functions of LID-BMP were analyzed and compared with other facilities. The reduction of TSS, COD, TN, and TP were 92%, 63%, 36%, and 75%, respectively. Comparison of the reduction efficiency were carried out with respect to ratio between surface and catchment areas(SA/CA). In addition, this LID-BMP facility can reduce about 70% of pollutant by treating only 18% of total rainfall runoff. The results show that LID used for this study gave similar efficiency although its ratio was smaller. In addition, comparison study was made between synthetic fiber as a filter media and organic media, which shows that there was not any significant difference between, TSS and TP reduction, but there were large difference in COD and TN removal due to the presence and absence of release of organic carbon. Meanwhile, wetland system in this study equipped with a first-flush capture gave a higher stability in terms of treatment performance.
