전시회 - 한국국제사인.디자인전2009 - 친환경 강화 속 다기능화한 제품 눈길 -

  • 제17회 한국국제사인 디자인전(KOSIGN)2009가 지난 11월 12일부터 15일까지 서울 삼성동 코엑스 A,B홀에서 'All of Visual'을 주제로 열렸다. 올해 전시회에는 디지털프린팅 시스템, 미디어 및 잉크, 제작시스템, 후가공 및 장비, LED 모듈 및 조명, 디스플레이 등 다양한 제품들이 나와 IT기술 접목에 따른 디지털 사이니즈까지 사인산업의 변화와 미래를 한눈에 엿볼 수 있는 행사가 되었다. 올해 코사인전은 200개 사, 1000개 부스 규모로 열렸으며 국내외 바이어 및 일반 참관객이 2만여 명에 달했다. 특히 올해 전시회는 친환경 신기술 제품이 집중적으로 소개되었다.

  • Nowadays, environmentally friendly technology is attracting considerable attention because of environmental pollution and the increasing price of raw materials. Korea has a high level of dependence on exports, and therefore it has stressed the development of environmentally friendly technologies. Bicycle manufacturing industry has a bright future because bicycles do not use fossil fuels, and cycling is good for one's health. We develop a management system for the effective development of next-generation environmentally friendly technology for bicycles. The goal is to promote the bicycle industry in Korea while keeping the product in the low to medium price range.

Understanding MZ Generation's Perceptions and Preferences for Eco-Friendly Consumption and Upcycled Souvenirs

  • This study aims to explore the perceptions of MZ's on eco-friendly consumption and their preferences for eco-friendly souvenirs. The top reasons for buying upcycling products include design, price, differentiation, and environmentalism, with design having the most influence on product purchase. Design is also a top consideration when buying upcycling souvenirs. Regarding environmental issues, they were most aware of the seriousness of environmental pollution and thought that recycling of fashion products was necessary. When it comes to eco-friendly fashion purchasing behaviors, the most common choice is to buy clothes that will last longer than those that are in fashion. Upcycling products are more likely to be purchased when there is a concern for the environment or an interest in eco-friendly products. In addition, those who have purchased upcycling products are more likely to be aware of and interested in eco-friendly fashion products and recycling of fashion products. Women are more likely than men to be concerned about environmental issues, and women are also more likely to be aware of upcycling souvenirs. In future research, it would be useful to study the relationship between upcycling products, environmental issues, consumer behavior, and upcycling souvenirs.

  • Environmentally Sound and Sustainable Development (ESSD)" is a key word in recent years. The construction industry, have put a great influence on ergonomic and sustainable environment. Recently, "green building certifications", such as Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and eco-friendly material regulation have been established. With this regard, new construction and aged-housing remodeling projects are required to meet these certification criteria. Apartment residents have great concern on eco-product, since many cases are reported that Sick Building Syndrome is caused by toxic substance from building materials. Aged-housing remodeling construction has a unique characteristic in that the residents are already determined prior to construction execution. Therefore, the analysis of resident's need for building materials in aged-housing remodeling is relatively easy compared to new building construction. As such, it is very important to analyze their preferences for eco-friendly materials prior to project execution. The purpose of this study is to find the needs of residents and priority of their needs. Based on their needs and priority, this paper provides a new strategy in using environment-friendly materials and maximizing their satisfaction level when aged housing remodeling is constructed. In addition, this paper provide new criteria in selecting new developed environmental materials in remodeling projects for the purpose of improving the safety and health level in construction industry.

Effect of Environmental Friendliness on the Purchase of Energy Saving Product (친환경성이 에너지절감 제품 구매에 미치는 영향)

  • In this research, we analyzed the effect of environmental friendliness on consumer's purchase intention with an energy saving product. We found that the economic benefit, easy to use and environmental friendliness have significant positive(+) effects on environmental friendliness of the energy saving product. We also found that the effects of economic benefit and environmental friendliness differ by the level of consumer's environmental consciousness. Consumers with high level of the environmental consciousness are less sensitive on the change of the economic benefit and more sensitive on the change of the environmental friendliness than consumers with low level of the environmental consciousness. The results of this research imply that when planning a marketing strategy for an environmental friendly product it is important to emphasis the economic benefit to consumers with low level of the environmental consciousness while it is important to emphasis the environmental friendliness to consumers with high level of the environmental consciousness.

Application of Life Cycle Assessment to Enhance the Environmental Performance of Process Systems and Products (공정시스템과 제품의 환경성을 향상시키기 위한 전과정평가의 활용)

  • Life cycle assessment (LCA) has become an important tool used to enhance the environmental performance of process systems and products. LCA is an essential element in design for environment (DfE) because LCA can be utilized to evaluate and analyze environmental impacts incurred in the life cycle and supply chain. This review presents methodologies that can be used to integrate LCA into DfE activities and reduce environmental impacts from process systems and products; and introduces case studies for water supply systems and cellular phones. LCA is first used to quantify environmental impacts and identify the principal contributor to high impacts. In the next step, environmental impacts from principal contributors can be reduced by using mathematical optimization tools as an engineering and technological approach and by utilizing the cooperation of professionals from a diverse range of fields. Because the methodologies and case studies can be applied and extended to other fields, this review paper can contribute to helping prevent environmental pollution and enhance the sustainability of our society.

A Model of the Antecedents of Consumers' Green Purchase Behavior (친환경제품구매 결정요인들에 관한 모델)

  • In the growing field of green marketing there are various psychological influences that can lead to green purchase behavior. An understanding of these influences can lead to greater green marketing effectiveness. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the effects of several value types, environmental attitudes, and preference for product attributes on green purchase behavior. To this end, a conceptual model has been proposed and tested for empirical verification with the use of a survey. Data collected from 266 Korean respondents are analyzed using path analysis. Results provide support for the proposed model, demonstrating positive links among universalism, environmental attitudes, preference for environmental attribute, and green buying behavior. It indicates that individuals with universalism as a preferred value type are high in their environmental attitudes and finally, tend to buy green products through their preference for environmental attribute. The mediating role of preference for price is not significant between environmental attitudes and green purchase behavior. The present findings, in addition, contribute the width of understanding of various proenvironmental behaviors by focusing on green purchase behavior and surveying with a Korean sample. The implications for the practices of green marketing are discussed.

  • 본 논문에서는 친환경 전동기기의 에너지 저장장치로 널리 사용되고 있는 Lead-Acid 배터리의 특성을 나타내었고, 급속충전을 하기 위한 충전패턴을 보였다. 기존 정전류-정전압 충전패턴이 적용된 상용 제품과 당사가 개발한 급속충전기의 비교 실험을 통해 충전 시간단축을 확인하였다. 급속충전 시스템의 적용을 통해 친환경 전동기기의 성능이 개선될 수 있음을 확인하였다.
