An Analysis of Applicability of Visual Urban Model in Korea (Visual Urban 모형의 적용성 분석)

  • 본 연구에서는 도로 빗물받이의 차집효율을 분석하기 위하여 측구 부분을 대상으로 수리모형을 제작하여 실험을 실시하고, 실측된 결과를 FHWA의 범용프로그램인 Visual Urban 모형의 해석결과와 비교하여 이 모형의 국내 적용성을 분석하였다. 실험에는 국내 표준규격인 40x50cm의 쇠살대 유입구(grater inlet)를 사용하였으며, 측구의 유량은 도로의 차선 및 빗물받이의 간격을 고려하여 $4\~13{\ell}/sec$를 선택하였다. 도로의 종경사는 $2,\;4,\;6\%$를 선택하고, 측구의 횡경사는 $4,\;6,\;8\%$를 선택하여, 총 36회의 실험을 실시하였다. Visual Urban 모형을 적용하여 모의한 결과와 실측값을 비교한 결과 종$\cdot$횡경사가 작은 경우에는 오차의 범위가 $6\%$정도였으며 종경사 $4\%$, 횡경사 $8\%$이상이면 비교적 일치하였다.

  • 도로경계석과 측구는 차도와 인도의 구분에 의해 주행하는 차량으로부터 인도의 보행자를 보호하고 강우 시 노면의 배수를 용이하게 하기 위한 도로시설물로서 그의 시공품질은 보행자의 안전은 물론 도시미관의 측면에서 매우 중요하다. 그러나 기존의 시공법은 콘크리트를 몇 회로 나누어 분할 타설하는 방법을 사용함으로써 시공불량에 의해 도로경계석이 원 위치에서 이탈하거나 기울어지는 사례가 종종 발생하고 있다. 이러한 문제점들을 해결하고 시공품질을 높이기 위하여 도로경계석과 측구의 일체형 시공법으로써 거푸집 레일과 두 가지 형태의 지그를 사용하는 방법이 최근 제안되었으며 본 연구에서는 새로운 표면처리장치의 개발에 의해 콘크리트 측구의 표면처리방법을 개선하고자 한다.

  • For estimating compressive strength of concrete, non-destructive test has conducted generally. It used experimental equation to calculate compressive strength from construction. This study investigated experiment to apply non-destructive test, based on fresh property, compressive strength and ultrasonic pulse velocity of high performance concrete. And it conducted to compare various proposed equation.

  • 국내에 대부분 교량은 빗물이 원활하게 배수되도록 사전에 강우에 대비하여 배수시설을 설계하도록 되어있다. 다수의 교량에서는 점배수와 선배수의 방식을 사용하여 설계 되고 있으나 외부로 노출되어야하는 구조적 문제로 인해 설계시에는 검토되지 않으나 도시미관을 저해하는 요소가 된다. 본 연구에서는 도시미관개선을 위해 교량의 배수시설을 내제한 프리캐스트 교량 방호벽의 개발과 내부에 내제된 배수관의 배수성능을 3차원 모형인 Fluent 모형을 통해 수치해석을 수행하였으며, 교량 측구에서의 흐름 및 횡배수관의 유입에 관해 3차원 흐름을 확인하였다.

Development of Rainfall-runoff Analysis Algorithm on Road Surface (도로 표면 강우 유출 해석 알고리즘 개발)

  • In general, stormwater flows to the road surface, especially in urban areas, and it is discharged through the drainage grate inlets on roads. The appropriate evaluation of the road drainage capacity is essential not only in the design of roads and inlets but also in the design of sewer systems. However, the method of road surface flow analysis that reflects the topographical and hydraulic conditions might not be fully developed. Therefore, the enhanced method of road surface flow analysis should be presented by investigating the existing analysis method such as the flow analysis module (uniform; varied) and the flow travel time (critical; fixed). In this study, the algorithm based on varied and uniform flow analysis was developed to analyze the flow pattern of road surface. The numerical analysis applied the uniform and varied flow analysis module and travel time as parameters were conducted to estimate the characteristics of rainfall-runoff in various road conditions using the developed algorithm. The width of the road (two-lane (6 m)) and the slope of the road (longitudinal slope of road 1 - 10%, transverse slope of road 2%, and transverse slope of gutter 2 - 10%) was considered. In addition, the flow of the road surface is collected from the gutter along the road slope and drained through the gutter in the downstream part, and the width of the gutter was selected to be 0.5 m. The simulation results were revealed that the runoff characteristics were affected by the road slope conditions, and it was found that the varied flow analysis module adequately reflected the gutter flow which is changed along the downstream caused by collecting of road surface flow at the gutter. The varied flow analysis module simulated 11.80% longer flow travel time on average (max. 23.66%) and 4.73% larger total road surface discharge on average (max. 9.50%) than the uniform flow analysis module. In order to accurately estimate the amount of runoff from the road, it was appropriate to perform flow analysis by applying the critical duration and the varied flow analysis module. The developed algorithm was expected to be able to be used in the design of road drainage because it was accurately simulated the runoff characteristics on the road surface.

An analysis of interception capability of storm water grate inlet in road (도로 빗물받이의 차집능력 분석)

  • The interception capabilities of storm water grate inlet were analyzed in this paper. The hydraulic model lot gutter flow was used to estimate the interception capability. With the consideration of width and length of road, gutter discharges were ranged of 4-15l/sec. The transverse slopes of gutter were selected 4, 7 and 10%. The longitudinal slopes were 0, 2, 5 and 7%. The four sizes of storm water grate inlet were used in this experiments ($30\times40cm,\;40\times50cm,\;40\times100cm,\;40\times150cm$). The total number of experimental cases were 240. As the transverse slopes of gutter increased, the interception capability also increased. As the flow width in gutter and the discharge were lower, the interception efficiencies increased and the longitudinal slopes of road increased, the interception efficiencies decreased. The empirical formula with the factors of total inflow discharge, the longitudinal slope and the transverse slope of gutter were derived. These equations could be used to estimate the intercepting discharge of grate inlet. The reasonable construction space of grate inlet for the road widths, the longitudinal slopes, the transverse slopes and the grate inlet sizes were suggested.

Studies on Erosion Amount of the Newly - Constructed Forest Road (신설임도(新設林道)의 초기침식량(初期侵蝕量)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究))

  • This research was carried out to investigate the influences of forest road characteristics and rainfalls on the amount of erosion on the newly - constructed forest road in the Research Forests of Seoul National University located in Mt. Backwoon - san, Kwangyang. Amount of soil erosion on the newly - constructed forest road was measured for 2 years since the forest road construction. Using the stepwise multiple regression method, amount of soil erosion from cut - slopes, fill - slopes, road surfaces, and side - ditches were seperately expressed as a function of statistically significant road design and rainfall factors, and multiple regression models to estimate the amount of soil erosion were significant to explain the variance in erosion by each structures. According to results of this study, amount of erosion from the newly - constructed forest road was estimated as much as 668.51m/km for 2 years. Out of total amount of soil erosion, 21.9%(144.27m/km) from cut - slopes, 39.8%(261.89m/km) from fill - slopes, 8.1%(53.33m/km) from road surfaces, and 30.2%(199.02m/km) from side - ditches were occurred.

Performance Evaluation for All-In-One Construction Method of Curbstone and Gutter Using Formwork Rail and Jig (거푸집 레일과 지그를 이용한 경계석 및 측구의 일체형 시공법에 대한 성능평가)

  • A road curbstone is a structure installed at the boundary of the sidewalk and the street with the objectives of road drainage, drawing attention and such. The current general construction method of curbstones places foundation concrete for the curbstones first, waits until the concrete reaches the strength to support the curbstones, places the curbstones on top, and then places the gutter and rear filling concrete. Such method has the issues of poor compaction and weakened bond strength of concrete due to split placing of concrete, and causes the curbstones to easily separate due to vehicle impact or earth pressure, in turn creating maintenance costs and spoiling the aesthetics. To improve such conventional construction methods, an all-in-one method was developed using formwork rail and jig where both the curbstones and gutter can be worked at the same time, and to evaluate the structural performance, static tests of lateral loading test, pullout test, and bending test were executed, and dynamic tests such as pendulum test and actual vehicle impact test were executed. In all tests, the all-in-one construction method using formwork rail and jig was shown to be superior to the conventional construction method by the increase of construction quality and bond strength of concrete.

An Experimental Study on the Improvement of Freezing-Thawing Resistance of Gutter Concrete (측구 콘크리트의 동결융해 저항성능 개선을 위한 실험적 연구)

  • This paper presents the experimental results of frost durability characteristics including freezing-thawing and de-icing salt scaling of the concrete used for gutter of the road. Mixtures were proportioned with the three level of water-binder ratio (W/B), 0.58, 0.53, and 0.48, and two binder compositions corresponding to Type I cement without any supplementary cementitious materials (OPC) and Type I cement with 30% blast-furnace slag replacement (Slag30). Also, two different solutions of calcium chloride and water that contains 0 and 8g of anhydrous calcium chloride in each 100 mL of solution, respectively, were used to evaluate their effect on the frost durability resistance. Test results showed that the Slag30 mixture exhibited higher durability factor and lower mass loss values than those made with OPC. Among the mixture tested in this work, the mixtures (OPC and Slag30) made with a relatively higher W/B of 0.58 exhibited large amount of the de-icing salt scaling regardless of calcium chloride concentration. Finally, the use of slag can be used effectively in terms of economy and frost durability of the concrete designated for gutter.

Improvement and Supplement of Probability Rainfall in South Korea (한국 확률강우량도 개선 및 보완)

  • 본 연구는 각종 수공구조물의 수문학적 설계기준으로 사용되고 있는 확률강우량을 전국에 걸쳐 산정하고, 그에 따른 확률강우량도를 작성함으로써 이를 토대로 우리나라의 각종 수공구조물 설계시 적합한 계획강우량을 채택할 수 있도록 하고자한다. 현재 일반적으로 제방, 하천횡단구조물 등 하천시설물과 도로의 암거 및 측구, 하수도 등 소형구조물 설계시 한국확률강우량도(건설교통부, 2000)를 활용하고 있다. 최근 기후변화로 인한 집중호우가 빈발함에 따라 증가된 홍수량을 감안하지 않고 기존 확률강우량도 만을 활용하는 경우 과소 설계의 우려가 있다. 본 연구에서는 수집된 강우자료를 이용하여 자료 년에 따른 지속기간별 시계열 자료를 구축한 후, 분석 검토된 강우자료를 바탕으로 확률강우량 산정 지점을 결정하고, 이에 포함된 지점에 대하여 지속기간별 자료연한에 따른 임의시간 시계열 자료를 구축하였다. 수집된 임의시간 강우량 자료를 강우지속기간별로 연최대치 계열을 작성하여 강우량 자료를 검정하고, 지점별로 조사 정리된 사상별 강우자료의 통계적인 특성치를 분석하여 자료의 일관성과 지점간의 동질성 등을 검토하였다. 자료특성에 따라서 빈도 해석을 위한 최적확률분포형을 결정한 후, 지점별 강우지속기간별로 확률강우량을 산정하여 기존의 확률강우량도를 개선 및 보완하였다.
