Pyroshock Isolation Performance Test using Wiremesh Isolators (와이어메쉬 절연계의 파이로 충격 절연 성능 시험)

  • Pyrotechnic shock or pyroshock is characterized as a transient vibration phenomenon which shows large acceleration and high frequency range up to 10kHz during the operation of separation devices where explosives are used. During the flight of a launch vehicle, pyroshock is mainly generated at several events such as satellite separation, fairing separation and stage separation. In this paper, wiremesh isolators are introduced and several types of isolators are manufactured for the performance tests. For the investigation of typical characteristics of wiremesh isolators, compressive loading tests are basically performed and pyroshock tests are accomplished to confirm pyroshock isolation ability of each wiremesh isolator by using 4Kg dummy mass.

Measured Effect of Shock Wave on the Stability Limits of Supersonic Hydrogen-Air Flames (충격파가 초음속 수소-공기 화염의 안정한계에 미치는 영향)

  • Measured shock wave effects were investigated by changing shock strength and position with particular emphasis on the stability limits of hydrogen-air jet flames. For this purpose, a supersonic nonpremixed, jet-like flame was stabilized along the axis of a Mach 2.5 wind tunnel, and wedges were mounted on the sidewall in order to interact oblique shock waves with the flame. This experiment was the first reacting flow experiment interacting with shock waves. Schilieren visualization pictures, wall static pressures, and flame stability limits were measured and compared to corresponding flames without shock-flame interaction. Substantial improvements in the flame stability limits were achieved by properly interacting the shock waves with the flameholding recirculation zone. The reason for the significant improvement in flame stability limits is believed to be the adverse pressure gradient caused by the shock, which can elongate the recirculation zone.

Development of Multi-channel Simultaneous Laser Shock Sensing System for Linear Explosive-induced Pyroshock Propagation Prediction (선형화약 파이로 충격파 전파 예측을 위한 다채널 동시 레이저 충격파 센싱 시스템 개발)

  • Multi-channel DAQ system was developed to predict propagation characteristic of the shock wave generated by linear explosive. The system can generate shock wave from 1000 points per second using a pulsed laser and simultaneously obtain the shock wave signals using 15 chanel contact sensor. The system is expected to pridict the propagation characteristics of various linear explosive-induced pyroshock because it can be used with a user-defined time delay that corresponds to detonation speed of the linear explosive.

  • Some analytical methods to analyze low-velocity impact force history of composite laminated structures used in aerospace vehicles are reviewed. A classical method used at initial research of low-velocity impact problem in 1980s was reviewed on its physical meaning, and the approximate method assuming the shape of impact force history as a sinusoidal wave was reviewed. A parametric study on contact constant and exponent in contact law was performed in order to analyze an effect on impact force history, and finally its was understood that impact force history could be analyzed accurately even though the linearized contact law was used. Also, in this paper it was shown that impact problem could be analyzed simply and easily using a commercial finite element code.

  • 항공기 추락 시 충돌충격단계에서 사상자가 가장 많이 발생하는 것으로 나타나고 있다. 대부분의 경우, 승객들은 두부손상으로 의식을 잃게 되어 비상탈출에 실패하여 사망에 이르게 된다. 이에 대한 대응책으로 항공기 제작사들은 내구성이 강화된 항공기 좌석을 설계 및 제작하여 설치하고 있다. 객실에서는 승객들이 충격방지자세를 취함으로써 부상을 최소화할 수 있다. 승객들에 대한 충격방지자세 안내는 모든 항공사가 시간적 여유가 있는 비상상황에서만 객실승무원이 안내방송과 함께 시범을 보이도록 절차가 수립되어 있다. 그러나 갑작스런 사고의 경우 승객들은 충격방지자세에 대한 정보를 전달받지 못한 상태에서 사상의 위험에 직면하게 된다. 본 논문은 SHEL 모델을 적용하여 승객과 사상자발생 환경, 승객과 충격방지를 위한 안전절차, 승객과 승객안전정보 전달매체, 승객과 객실승무원등의 상호작용에 내재된 위해요소를 체계적으로 규명하고 객실안전에 대한 법규 및 절차 등의 개정을 제시함으써, 항공기사고로 인한 사상자 발생에 대한 근본적인 대안을 제시하여 항공안전 증진에 기여하고자 한다.

Financial Integration in East Asia: Evidence from Stock Prices (주가지수를 통해 살펴본 동아시아의 금융통합에 대한 연구)

  • This paper investigates the extent of global and regional integration in East Asia using stock price index as a measure of economic performance. We employ a structural VAR model to separate the underlying shocks into "global", "regional" and "country-specific" shocks. The estimation results show that country-specific shocks still play a dominant role in East Asia although their role appears to have declined over time, especially after the 1997 financial crisis. Global and regional shocks are responsible for small but increasing shares of stock price fluctuations in all countries. The results indicate that the stock markets in East Asia remain dissimilar and are subject to asymmetric shocks in comparison to European countries.

  • In this study, the applicability of impact-echo method for assessment of residual strength of fire-damaged concrete is investigated. A series of standard fire test is performed to obtain fire-damaged concrete specimens. Impact-echo tests are executed on the specimens and the responses are analyzed. Compressive strengths of the fire-damaged concrete are evaluated and correlated with the ultrasonic wave velocities determined from the impact-echo responses. The effectiveness of impact-echo based ultrasonic wave velocity measurement for assessment of residual strength of fire-damaged concrete is discussed.

토석류 유발 시나리오에 따른 충격력 분포도 작성

  • 최근 기후변화로 인해 국지성 집중호우 및 태풍으로 인한 피해가 빈번하게 발생하고 있으며, 많은 인명피해와 재산피해가 발생하고 있다. 그 중 토석류 피해가 산지뿐만 아니라 도심지에서도 빈번하게 발생하고 있으며 토석류에 대한 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 토석류 연구를 위한 다양한 토석류 모형이 있으며 토석류 거동 분석, 토석류 피해범위 분석 등이 이루어지고 있지만 토석류에 의한 충격력에 관한 연구는 미미한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 토석류의 유속과 유동심을 이용하여 피해범위에 따른 충격력을 산정하고 충격력 분포도를 구축하고자 하였다. 대상지역으로는 2011년 집중호우로 인해 토석류가 발생하였던 서울 우면산, 춘천 마적산 2개소, 용인시 능원리 지역으로 선정하였다. 토석류를 유발시키는 홍수량을 해석하기 위해 분포형 강우-유출모형인 S-RAT모형을 사용하였으며, 토석류 충격력 해석을 위해 토석류 2차원 수치해석모형인 RAMMS모형을 사용하였다. 모의 시나리오는 빈도별 확률강우량(30년, 50년, 100년, 200년)과 토사농도(Cv : 0.4, 0.5)를 이용하여 RAMMS모형에 적용하여 분석을 실시하였으며 각 시나리오에 따른 충격력 분포도를 구축하였다. 분석 결과로 나온 토사재해 충격력 분포도를 통하여 재료별(콘크리트, 철골, 조적식, 목재) 저항력에 따른 시설물 설치 가능 지점을 판단할 수 있을 것으로 예상된다.

Effects of Health Shocks on Employment and Income (건강 충격의 고용과 소득 효과 분석)

  • Using matching and difference-in-differences estimation method, this study estimates causal effects of health shocks on employment and income of full-time workers aged 40-55. Acute hospital admissions lower significantly the employment probability and earnings. The changes in employment and earnings persist up to three years after the health shock. The economic impacts of health shocks vary by socioeconomic status and job characteristics among individuals. Irregular workers are more likely to leave their jobs after health shocks than regular workers. Among irregular workers, the probability of leaving labor market after health shock decreases with the size of the firm.

Translational Control of The Heat Shock Gene Expression in Carrot (당근의 열충격 유전자 발현의 번역과정에서의 조절)

  • Carrot cultured cells are able to respond to a temperature increase by inducing a set of new proteins, heat shock proteins (HSP). Such an induction of the HS gene was known to be achieved mainly at the level of transcription. However there has been an increasing number of evidences showing that a translational control was involved in the regulation of the HS gene expression. A comparison of HSP synthesized in vivo to in vivo (represent for mRNA level since the amount of the proteins produced by in vivo translation system will be proportional to an amount of the corresponding mRNA)showed no correlation between the amount of HS mRNA and the amount of the corresponding HSP at $30^{\circ}C$, It appears that a translational control may exert a major role in the expression of HS gene in carrot callus cells at $30^{\circ}C$.
