  • Components such as pressure vessel, hydraulic hose assembly, accumulator, hydraulic cylinder, hydraulic valve, pipe, etc., are tested under the impulse-pressure conditions prescribed in ISO and SAE standards. The impulse pressure test machine needs to have a high pressure, a precise control system and a long life. It should satisfy the requirements for fabrication of the impulse tester to generate ultra high pressure in the hydraulic system. In the impulse tester, a servo-valve control system is adopted; although the control application is convenient, it is expensive owing to the cost of developing the system. The type of the control system determines the pressure wave, which affects the components that are tested. In this study, the manufacturing process and the intensifier system design related to the flow, pressure, and the increasing rate of pressure are investigated. The results indicate the ultra high pressure waves in the system.

  • 체외 충격파 쇄석술 (ESWL)은 인체 외부에서 발생된 충격파를 인체 내부의 결석 부위에 집속하여 결석을 분쇄하고 치료 효과를 얻는 혁신적 치료술이다. 충격파의 압력 및 파형은 결석의 분쇄 효과 즉 치료 효과를 좌우한다. 체외에서 충격파의 압력은 고감도 하이드로폰을 이용하여 측정할 수 있지만, 인체 체내에서, 특히, 비침습적으로 충격파를 측정하기는 매우 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 ESWL 충격파에 의해 활성화된 체내의 기포군으로부터 방출된 음향 신호 (CIAE)를 측정하여 비침습적으로 충격파의 압력을 추정하는 방법을 실험하였다. 충격파 압력의 추정은 측정된 CIAE 신호에서 1차 기포군 파열음과 2차 파열음 간의 시간 지연은 충격파의 압력과 선형적인 관련성 가진다는 실험 결과 (Coleman et al 1996)에 근거하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 충격파 압력 측정 시스템을 구성하여 생체 외 실험을 수행하였고, 개발된 시스템의 임상적인 활용 가능성을 확인하였다.

  • In this paper, the low velocity impact characteristics of filament winding CFRP pressure vessel was investigated using numerical and experimental methods. The cylinder part of CFRP vessel was impacted using triangular shape impactor which simulated the sharp edge of dropping tools and impact response behavior of CFRP was reviewed. The mechanical behavior, such as deformation and stress distribution, were also predicted by explicit finite element method and the validity of the model was investigated. For the quantitative evaluation of the residual strength of the pressure vessel after impact, a series of the ring specimens was cut from the impacted vessel and its burst pressure was measured by hydraulic pressure hoop tension test. As the results, the relationship between the residual strength degradation and the impact energy was successively obtained and a useful methodology to evaluate quantitatively the impact damage tolerance of CFRP pressure vessel was established.

  • In this study, the residual strength of CFRP filament winding pressure vessel after low velocity impact was evaluated quantitatively. After impact test, the pressure vessel was sectioned to produce 25 mm-wide ring specimen and the bursting pressure of this specimen was measured. A finite element model was also fabricated to investigate the deformation and stress distribution characteristics of the impacted CFRP vessel. The degradation of the residual strength along with the increase of impact energy was successfully measured and reviewed.

  • 고리 1호기 주요기기들에 대한 수면평가 과정에서 원자로 압력용기의 중성자 조사취화에대한 잔여수명평가를 정량적으로 수행하였다. 그 결과 가압열충격 기준온도(R $T_{PTS}$)가 운전년수 34년경에 심사기준온도를 초과할 것으로 예측되어 연장운전 추진 시 선결되어야 할 과제로 인식되었다. 이에 따라 USNRC 가압열충격 규제지침서에 의한 상세 가압열충격 평가연구를 수행하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 원자로 압력용기 가압열충격 현상에 대해 간략히 설명하고 가압열충격 평가의 목적과 방법에 대하여 소개하였다. 더불어 현재 수행중인 고리 1호기 원자로 압력용기 가압열충격 평가의 일부로 수행한 계통 열수력해석과 확률론적 파괴역학 해석의 결과를 제시하고 가압열충격 위험도를 완화하기 위한 조치사항들에 대하여 검토하였다.다.

An Experimental Study on Slamming Impact Pressure and Flow Characteristics by Free Fall of Rectangular Marine Structure (직사각형 해양구조물의 자유낙하 슬래밍 충격압력 및 유동특성에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • This paper presents an experimental investigation to figure out slamming impact pressure and flow characteristics of a rectangular Marine structure($800{\times}250{\times}50mm^3$) in free fall. The flow field has been obtained by 2-frame grey level cross correlation PIV(Particle Image Velocimetry) method, the impact pressure of the free fall model by a pressure acquisition system(Dewatron). The angles between a model and the free surface are adapted $10^{\circ}$ and $20^{\circ}$ respectively. Velocity field of water exit has higher better than water entry. The highest point, P2 of impact pressure under the bottom of the model has been appeared about 6 % higher values at 20 degrees than 10 degrees.

  • Slamming means that the hull hits the waves and receives impact pressure. This slamming effect may cause harm to people and when you put the hull at risk. so it is very harmful for cargo safety. Therefor slamming impact pressure should be fully considered in ship designing. In this study the model of wedged type structure are produced aimed to simulate a free fall that the experiments were carried out on different weight and free fall height. The flow field has been obtained by 2-frame grey level cross correlation PIV(Particle Image Velocimetry) method and experiment was divided into water entry and water exit. The impact pressure of free fall structure by a pressure acquisition system apply to dewetron system. The angles between a model and the water surface are adapted $15^{\circ}$ respectively. The weight change of models was given as 1.5, 1.8 and 2.0kg. To study slamming phenomenon for free fall height the experiments were carried out by the free fall height of 100, 200 and 300mm. The experimental value of the impact pressure according to the changes in weight was increase impact pressure in proportion to the increase in weight and higher free falling height has also influenced the increase in impact pressures.

  • The twin aims of the paper are to investigate the collapse strength characteristics of ship plating subject to impact pressure loads and to develop a simple structural design formula considering impact load effects. The general purpose nonlinear finite element program STARDYNE together with existing experimental results is used to investigate the collapse behavior of plating under impact pressure loads. The rigid plastic theory taking into account large deflection effects is applied to the development of the design formulation. In the theoretical method, the collapse strength formulation for plating subject to hydrostatic pressure is first derived using the rigid plastic theory. By including the strain rate erects in the formulation it can be applied to impact pressure problems. As illustrative examples, the collapse behavior of steel unstiffened plates and aluminum alloy stiffened panels subject to impact pressure loads is analyzed.

원자로 압력용기 원주방향 용접부의 가압열충격 심사기준온도의 적정성 평가

  • 원자로 압력용기는 원자력발전소의 일차 압력경계를 구성하는 핵심 부품으로 이의 건전성은 원전의 안전성과 수명관리에 결정적인 영향을 미친다. 탄소강으로 구성된 압력용기는 노심에 근접하게 위치하여 운전중 계속되는 고속중성자 조사로 인하여 인성이 감소한다. 운전중 비상노심 냉각수가 주입되어 압력용기가 급격하게 냉각되면서 압력이 높게 유지되거나 재가압이 되는 가압열충격 현상이 발생하는 경우 조사취화된 압력용기가 적절한 안전여유를 가지지 못할 수도 있다. USNRC에서는 이에 대한 종합적인 연구결과를 바탕으로 가압열충격 규정을 제정하여 가압열충격 기준온도(RT$_{PTS}$)의 계산 방법과 심사기준온도를 제시하였다. 가압열충격 심사기준온도의 결정근거가 기술되어 있는 SECY 82-465에 의하면 축방향 용접부에 대한 위험도를 평가하여 270℉를 심사기준온도로 정하고 원주방향 용접부에 대해서는 30℉를 더하여 300℉를 심사기준온도로 제시하였다. 이 연구에서는 이렇게 제정된 원주방향 용접부에 대한 심사기준온도의 적정성을 평가하기 위하여 균열방향에 따른 가압열충격 위험도를 VISA-II 코드로 평가하였다. 우선 가압열충격 기준온도 제정 시 사용된 방법과 결과들을 검토하고 NRC의 계산결과를 재현하였다. 이를 바탕으로 원주방향 용접부에 대한 위험도를 평가한 결과 균열방향의 차이를 고려하기 위해 적용된 기술적 여유도인 30℉는 과도한 보수성을 내포하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 원주방향 용접부가 축방향 용접부와 동일한 수준의 가압열충격 위험도를 가지기 위한 심사기준온도 차이는 50℉ 이상인 것으로 평가되었다.을 수 있었다.ngineering because this field has large uncertainties on predicting the effect of earthquake on structures.   • In the present study, sloshing problem is analyzed by the application of Finite Difference Method. SOLA-SURF scheme is applied to the analysis of fluid motion considering free surface. Especially, the concept of impact buffer zone is introduced for the prediction of more realistic impact pressure on tank. Numerical computation is carried out for the typical three models, and the computed results show good agreement with experimental data. The computation is also performed for 300,000 tons VLCC as a real-ship application. From the present study, it is proved that this numerical technique is quite practical to the prediction of sloshing impact pressure.
