  • In this study, we have proposed a simple cardiorespiratory monitoring method based on displacements of human body which occurs due to periodic heartbeat and breathing. The proposed system consists of an aircushion, pressure sensing hardware and heartbeat and respiration signals extraction algorithm. The aircushion was used for unconstrained measurement of the respiration and heartbeats without a sensor attached on the subject's skin surface. The displacements of subject sitting on the aircushion cause small pressure variations. These variations are amplified and filtered with the pressure sensing hardware. Finally, heart rate and respiration rate are extracted by signal processing algorithm based on frequency domain filter. To evaluate the performance, extracted respiration and heart rate from proposed system were compared with conventional methods. The average sensitivity of respiration and heart rate are 98.67% and 99.24%, respectively. These results show the proposed method has advantages of installing and processing simplicity so as to be used easily in unconstrained respiration and heart rate monitoring in daily life.

  • The performance assessment is being importantly recognized and enforced in the education evaluation recently. It is not able to analyze learners synthetically because learners are assessed separately in every subjects and the other activities. On the basis of this problem, we designed and implemented the multi-dimensional processing tool. In this tool, the evaluation results of one subject area have an influence on the other related subject areas. In addition, this system helps teachers to establish and process performance assessment plan by providing all subjects database. And all of the information is processed as a whole and can be used in the counseling and school record. This system is based upon windows and can be extend to web based system later. We expect the performance assessment task can be simplified by using this system and students' ability can be assessed by various methods. This system will contribute to ensure the confidence of public education.

  • A sense of oneness between a player and an avatar is more emphasized than role-playing itself in Korean RPG playing. Because of this tendency, the main contents of smart phone-based mobile RPG are mainly focus on combat. As PvP occurs more frequently in mobile RPG, playing experiences are diversified from sensitive control to simple repetition. Also, the auto-combat function offered in game system ingenerates funs from testing a mental model that a player statistically sets before playing. This paper analyzes the process of generating fun in mobile RPG based on Ralph Koster's Game Grammar theory. is selected as subject of this analysis. The pattern of mobile RPG playing is dichotomized : automation of producing materials and concentration on raid and PvP contents.

  • This study focuses on the play aspect of the existing digital games and VR games as part of a basic research for facilitating discussion on VR games. As a method for this research, the play aspect of digital games was classified based on the play theory by Johan Huizinga and Roger Caillois, followed by examination on the play characteristics of VR games according to the established classification. As a result, VR games share a significant portion of play characteristics with digital games. Nevertheless, in VR games the player is allowed unimpeded physical activity while having the HMD on and complete disconnection from the real world via new input/output devices. In the end, the transformation of play environment results in various sensory stimulation, and in turn influences the player's experiences in areas such as presence, immersion, emotional enjoyment and satisfaction. This study is expected to serve as an important indicator for studies on the characteristics of VR contents which is certain to develop in a wide range of directions in the future.

  • The technology of distinguishing human motion states is required in the areas of measuring and analyzing biosignals changing according to physical activities, diagnosing sleep disorder, screening the effect of treatment, examining chronic patients' kinetic state, prescribing exercise therapy, etc. The present study implemented a fuzzy inference system based on fuzzy rules that distinguish human motion states (tying, sitting, walking, and running) by acquiring and processing data of LAA, TAA, L-MAD, and T-MAD using ADXL202AE of Analog Devices embedded in an armband. The membership degree and fuzzy rules in each area of input (LAA, TAA, L-MAD, and T-MAD) and output (tying, sitting, walking, and running) data used here were determined using numeric data obtained from experiment. In the results of analyzing data for simulation generated in order of tying$\rightarrow$walking$\rightarrow$running$\rightarrow$tying, the sorting rate for motion states tying, sitting, walking, and running was 100% for each motion.

  • With the development of smart transportation, people are likely to find their paths by using navigation and map application. However, the existing retrieval system cannot output the correct retrieval result due to the inaccurate query. In order to remedy this problem, set-based POI search algorithm was proposed. Subsequently, additionally a method for measuring POI name similarity and POI search algorithm supporting classifying duplicate characters were proposed. These algorithms tried to compensate the insufficient part of the compensate set-based POI search algorithm. In this paper, accuracy improvement methods for measuring string similarity in POI data retrieval system are proposed. By formulization, similarity measurement scheme is systematized and generalized with the development of transportation. As a result, it improves the accuracy of the retrieval result. From the experimental results, we can observe that our accuracy improvement methods show better performance than the previous algorithms.

  • This paper presents efficient models for bridge structures using CART-ANFIS (classification and regression tree-adaptive neuro fuzzy inference system). A fuzzy decision tree partitions the input space of a data set into mutually exclusive regions, each region is assigned a label, a value, or an action to characterize its data points. Fuzzy decision trees used for classification problems are often called fuzzy classification trees, and each terminal node contains a label that indicates the predicted class of a given feature vector. In the same vein, decision trees used for regression problems are often called fuzzy regression trees, and the terminal node labels may be constants or equations that specify the predicted output value of a given input vector. Note that CART can select relevant inputs and do tree partitioning of the input space, while ANFIS refines the regression and makes it continuous and smooth everywhere. Thus it can be seen that CART and ANFIS are complementary and their combination constitutes a solid approach to fuzzy modeling.

  • This paper suggests a new algorithm to provide low-cost GPS modules with DGPS service, which corrects the error vector in the already-calculated position by projecting range corrections to position domain using the observation matrix calculated from the satellite elevation and azimuth angle in the NMEA GPGSV data. The algorithm reduced the horizontal and vertical RMS error of U-blox LEA-5H module from 1.8m/5.8m to 1.0m/1.4m during the daytime. The algorithm has advantage in improving the performance of low-cost module to that of DGPS receiver by a software update without any correction in hardware, therefore it is expected to contribute to the vitalization of the future high-precision position service infrastructure by reducing the costumer cost and vender risk.

  • A new type of multimicroelectrode array has been developed using integrated circuit technology in order to record action potentials from nervous systems. The size and pattern of the electrode array are determined accurately in a frow $\mu$m range by optical photolithogaphy. The electrical characteristics of the integrated microelectrode array were investigated. The practical applications of this electrode array in recording action potentials from a ventral nerve of a cockroach are shown.

  • Ransomware was a malicious code that active around the US, but now it spreads rapidly all over the world and emerges in korea recently because of exponential computer supply and increase in users. Initially ransomware uses e-mail as an attack medium in such a way that induces to click a file through the spam mail Pam, but it is now circulated through the smart phone message. The current trend is an increase in the number of damage, including attacks such as the domestic large community site by ransomware hangul version. Ransomware outputs a warning message to the user to encrypt the file and leads to monetary damages and demands for payment via bitcoin as virtual currency is difficult to infer the tracking status. This paper presents an analysis and solutions to damage cases caused by ransomware.
