Effect of Various Superplasticizers on the Hydration of Cement Paste (시멘트페이스트 수화 반응에 미치는 고유동화제의 영향성에 관한 연구)

  • To research effects of various chemical superplasticizers(Lignosulfonic acid, Naphthalene sulfonated formaldehyde condensate, melamine sulfonated formaldehyde condensate, and Polycarboxylate) on the hydration of cement, experiments involving XRD, SEM, and DSC have been analysed with cement paste specimens. Regardless of types and dosages of superplasticizers, hydration reaction of specimen applied superplasticizer was delayed to 3 day, but then it showed similarity to plain which don't add superplasticizer. Moreover, the hydrating rate of cement paste was retarded as dosage of superplasticizer was increased. Also, kinetics related with hydrate of cement paste was slow in order of lignosulfonic acid, polycarboxylate, melamine and naphthalene sulfonated formaldehyde condensate. Nevertheless, when all kinds of chemical admixtures were used, morphologies of these hydrates were denser and more uniform than those of plain.

  • 현재 이용되는 막들은 대부분 유기계 혹은 고분자계로 열적인 안정성이 적고 내약품성이 낮다. 그래서 본 실험에서는 내열, 내약품성이 우수한 무기기와 유기기를 조합하여 복합막을 제조하려 시도하였다. 이때 유-무기 복합상의 반응은 졸-겔 법을 이용하였는데 이 졸-겔 법이란 출발물질인 금속알콕사이드를 용액상에서 가수분해하여 졸을 얻고 축합반응을 통해 겔을 형성하여 무기고분자를 제조하거나 소결하여 필름, 분말, 섬유상, 괴상 등의 다양한 형태로 산화물을 제조하는 공정이다. 이는 분자적 차원에서 혼합하여 반응하므로 산화물간의 반응보다 반응성의 입장에서 훨씬 유리하며 또한 용액상에서 저온반응 하므로 기존에는 유기-무기기를 조합하는데 존재하는 문제를 해결 할 수 있다.

Optimization of Catalytic Reaction for Synthesis of 2-Methyl-4-methoxydiphenylamine (2-Methyl-4-methoxydiphenylamine 합성을 위한 촉매반응의 최적화)

  • Reaction mechanism was elucidated and reaction condition were optimized for the catalytic reaction synthesizing 2-methyl-4-methoxy-diphenylamine (MMDPA) which is an intermediate of Fluoran heat-sensitive dyestuff. Reactants consisted of 2-methyl-4-methoxyaniline (MMA), 3-methyl-4-nitroanisole (MNA), and cyclohexanone, and 5 wt % Pd/C was used as a catalyst. Experiments were run in an open slurry reactor equipped with reflux condenser, and products were analyzed by means of GC/MS and NMR. MMDPA yield of 90 mole % could be obtained after reaction time of 8~10 hours under the optimal reaction conditions comprising the reaction mass composition of MMA : MNA : cyclohexanone = 1 : 2 : 150 based on MMA input of 0.01 gmoles in xylene solvent, reaction temperature of $160^{\circ}C$, and catalyst amount of 0.5 g. It was found that the rate-determining step of overall reaction was dehydrogenation of the intermediate product obtained from condensation of MMA and cyclohexanone. Overall reaction rate and MMDPA yield were enhanced owing to hydrogen transfer reaction by introducing MNA together with MMA in the reaction mass. Excess cyclohexanone in the reaction mass played an important role of promoting the condensation of MMA and cyclohexanone.

Synthesis of UV-Curable Six-Functional Urethane Acrylates Using Pentaerytritol Triacrylate and Their Cured Film Properties (Pentaerytritol Triacrylate를 이용한 광경화용 6관능 우레탄 아크릴레이트 합성과 경화필름 물성에 관한 연구)

  • Pentaerytritol triacrylate (PETA) was synthesized by a condensation reaction between pentaerytritol and acrylic acid. The highest yield of PETA was obtained when heptane was used as a solvent under the 1:4 mole ratio of pentaerytritol and acrylic acid. The 6-functional urethane acrylates(UA) were also synthesized by a condensation reaction between PETA and diisocyanate. Cured films were prepared from the mixtures of UA oligomer, reactive diluents and UV initiator to investigate their physical properties. The thermal stability of the aliphatic urethane acrylate was better than that of the aromatic urethane acrylate. The UA-2 showed good hardness and scratch resistance properties while the UA-l with a high degree of curing density exhibited a better chemical resistance. All the UA oligomers showed fairly good adhesion strengths but the other physical properties of UA-3 were poor due to its low curing density.

  • In this study sol-gel and combustion process was surveyed for the preparation of the red $Y_2O_3$: Eu phosphor, and the properties of phosphor was considered. Chelation and hydrolysis in amorphous citrate sol-gel process were completed in initial reaction stage, and water-forming condensation was superior to organic acid-forming condensation. The mole ratio of citric acid to metal ion had to be above to for the progress of sol-gel process. The dried gel powders are mostly amorphous, and crystallize completely at $700^{\circ}C$, and the crystallinity increases with increasing calcining temperature. The luminescence property of the phosphor was analyzed by measuring the emission spectra. The luminescence intensity increases when the calcination temperature and concentration of metal ions in solution increase.

  • silica의 precursor로 TMOS를 사용하여 autoclave 내에서 supersritical drying으로 투명한 TiO2-SiO2 이성분계 aerogle을 얻을 수 있었다. 반응성이 뛰어난 titanium alkoxide의 중축합반응을 억제할 수 있는 강한 산성 영역에서 투명한 Aerogel을 얻을 수 있었으며, 물을 직접 첨가하지 않고 silicon alkoxide의 축합반응의 부산물인 물을 이용하여 titanium alkoxide의 반응성을 제어했을 때 투명성이 더욱 증진되었다.

  • A convenient procedure for the synthesis of fatty acid diesters was studied. Long chain diesters have been used as biolubricant and transformer oils. The series of octyl, dodecyl, hexadecyl, octadecyl, and octadec-9-enyl glycidyl ether were used to synthesize those diesters. Alkyl glycidyl ethers were reacted with fatty acid such as oleic acid and octanoic acid, and octanoic acid. The one-step / two-step reactions were compared during the condensation reaction. The products were confirmed by $^{1}H-NMR$, FT-IR, and HR/MS spectra. The yield of the product 1-O-acyl-2-O, 3-O-dioctadec-9-enoylglycerol was 55~60%.

Flow and Strength Properties of Cement Mortar mixed with Naphthalene Superplasticizers (나프탈렌계 고성능감수제를 첨가한 시멘트 모르터의 유동성 및 강도특성)

  • In the previous study, naphthalene and /or naphthol were sulfonated wlth sulfuric acid and they were condensated with formaldehyde. The condensates prepared are subjected to the flow and strength tests of cement rnortnr to examine the chemcal effects of cement adrnlxtures. As the results of flow test, the flow of cement mortar mxed wth naphthol condensates(TSC) and naphthol naphthalene cocondensates( NT5) was larger than those mxed with synthetic naphtha lene condensate (NSS). In the experiments of compressive strength after 28 days curing, the hardned cement mortar containing naphthalene naphthol condensates(N1'5) showed a higher compressive strength than those contairung naphthalene condensates(NSS) and naphthol condensates('I'SC). As a results, the synthetic naphthalene condensates(NT5, TSC 1, whlch used i n this study, are greatly expected as good superplasticizers for the concrete.

  • An efficient and simplified protocol for $NaHSO_4/SiO_2$ catalyzed solvent-free synthesis of $\beta$-enaminone and 2-methylquinolin-4(1H)-one derivatives under microwave irradiation is described. A series of functionalized derivatives have been synthesized in shorter reaction times with moderate to good yields. The use of milder catalyst in non-conventional method offers significant advantages over conventional methods, such as higher selectivities, simplicity, solvent-free reaction and non-environmental polluting conditions.
