  • 본 논문에서는, 고객의 서비스 품질보장(SLA)에 대한 정보를 바탕으로 고객별로 특화된 분석 마트를 실시간으로 생성하기 위한 구조 및 그 방법을 제공한다. 본 논문의 가입자 맞춤형 실시간 SLA 분석 마트는 SLA 정보를 바탕으로 가입자별 분석 마트를 사용자의 요구에 따라 실시간으로 분석 마트를 생성한다. 사용자가 특정 가입자에 대한 SLA 분석 정보를 요청하면 가입자 프로파일에 요청 정보가 저장되고, SLA 데이터에서 가입자에 대한 SLA정보를 추출하여 가입자 프로파일의 요구사항에 따라서 분석 마트를 실시간으로 생성하는 구조를 가진다.

Regional Image Retrieval by using Color and Texture (색깔과 질감을 이용한 영역별 영상 검색)

  • 많은 정보를 포함하고 있는 영상 자료에서 빠른 검색과 분류를 위해서 색깔이나 질감 등의 특징을 나타내는 기술자가 필요하다. 또한 한 영상 안에서도 각 영역별로 다른 특징을 나타내고 있기 때문에 영역별 검색과 분류를 위한 영역 단위의 특징 추출이 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 색깔 특징으로 영역화된 영상의 각 영역에서 색깔 특징 벡터와 질감 특징 벡터를 추출하고 추출된 특징 벡터를 다른 영역에서 추출된 특징 벡터와의 거리를 이용하여 비슷한 특징을 보이는 영역을 검색한다. 기존의 전체 영상의 색깔이나 질감 어느 하나만을 이용한 검색과 달리 이러한 특징을 공간적 위치와 색깔, 질감을 조합하여 검색함으로써 보다 만족스러운 검색 결과를 얻을 수 있다.

  • 트위터는 최대 140자의 단문을 주고받는 소셜 네트워크 서비스이다. 트위터의 해시 태그는 주로 문장의 핵심 단어나 주요 토픽 등을 링크하게 되는데 본 논문에서는 이러한 정보를 이용하여 키워드 추출에 활용한다. 문장을 Character CNN, Bi-LSTM을 통해 문장 표현을 얻어내고 각 Span에서 이러한 문장 표현을 활용하여 Span 표현을 생성한다. Span 표현을 이용하여 각 Span에 대한 Score를 얻고 높은 점수의 Span을 이용하여 키워드를 추출한다.

  • This study was carried out to search for natural anti-oxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds from 5 medicinal plants (Carthamus tinctorius seed, Cyperus rotundus, Schizonepeta tenuifolia, Polygonatum odoratum var. pluriflorum, and Paeonia lactiflora). These plants were extracted with 70% ethanol. In order to measure total antioxidant activity of flavonoids, polyphenol content was measured. Radical scavenging activities of extracts were examined using a-a-Diphenyl-${\beta}$-picrylhydrazyl ($DPPH{\cdot}$), 2,2-azino-bis 3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid ($ABTS{\cdot}$), ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP) and superoxide anion radical assays. C. tinctorius seed extracts showed the highest polyphenol and flavonoid contents as well as strong $DPPH{\cdot}$, $ABTS{\cdot}$, FRAP, and superoxide anion radical scavenging activity. Also, C. tinctorius seed extracts showed the highest nitric oxide (NO) production inhibitory effect. Theses results indicate that the C. tinctorius seed extracts can be used as a functional material due to their effective anti-oxidative and antiinflammatory activities.

  • As awareness of environmental issues continues to grow, there is an escalating demand for recycling and repurposing byproducts of agricultural and food production processes and their conversion to high-value products. Coffee is the most widely consumed beverage globally; during coffee beverage processing and consumption, byproducts such as coffee silverskin (CS), spent coffee grounds (SCGs), and oil are generated. Despite containing beneficial materials such as cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin, lipids, and bioactive substances, these byproducts are typically discarded in landfills or incinerated. The utilization of CS, SCGs, and oil in the development of packaging materials holds significant potentials toward the realization of a sustainable society. To this end, considerable research efforts have been dedicated to the development of high-value materials derived from coffee byproducts, including functional fillers, polymer composites, and biodegradable polymers. Notably, CS and SCGs have been employed as functional fillers in polymer composites. Additionally, lipids extracted from SCGs have been used as plasticizers for polymers and cultured with microorganisms to produce biodegradable polymers. This review focuses on the research and development of polymer/CS and polymer/SCG composites as well as cellulose extraction and utilization from CS and SCGs and its applications, oil extraction from SCGs, and cultivation with microorganisms using extracted oil for polyhydroxyalkanoates(PHA) production.

Effect of Low Molecular Weight Species on the Interfacial Tension of PC/SAN Blend (PC/SAN 블렌드의 계면장력에 미치는 저분자량 성분의 영향)

  • Low molecular weight species were extracted from PC and SAN by a solvent extraction method in order to investigate the effect of low molecular weight species on interfacial tension and affinity between PC and SAN. From the analysis of molecular weight distribution by the GPC, it was confirmed that the low molecular weight species were effectively eliminated by the solvent extraction. Interfacial tension measurements and morphological observation were carried out with the PC and SAN of which the low molecular weight species were extracted. Interfacial tension was increased and the infinity was decreased for the extracted PC and SAN pair. This result implied that the low molecular weight species play a role as a compatibilizer between two polymers. Among two polymers, low molecular weight SAN contributes more in the compatibilization. Thus, it is favorable to use SAN containing a larger amount of low molecular weight species in fabrication of PC/ABS blend.

Enhanced Boundary Partition Color Descriptor for Deformable Object Retrieval (비정형객체 검색을 위한 향상된 분할영역 색 기술자)

  • The paper presents a new way of visual descriptor for deformable object retrieval on the basis of partition based description. The proposed descriptor technology partitions a given object into boundary area and interior area and extracts a descriptor from each area. The final descriptor combines these descriptors. From a given image, deformable object is segmented. The center position of the deformable object is calculated. The object is partitioned into N × N blocks on the basis of the given center position. Blocks are classified as boundary area and interior area depending on the pixels in the block. The proposed descriptor consists of extracted MPEG-7 dominant descriptors from both the boundary and interior area. The performance of proposed method is tested on a database of 1,973 handbag images constructed with view point changes. ARR (Average Retrieval Rate) is used for the retrieval accuracy of the proposed algorithm, compared with MPEG-7 dominant color descriptor.

  • This paper analyzes techniques that extract objective information from distributed web databases for bioinformatics based on relationship among information. Moreover, we discuss the design and implementation of a method for knowledge enhancement in respect of protein information. Web data extractor can be constructed by using a manual, semi-automatic, or automatic way. Data extractor generally makes use of identifiers in order to search and extract targeting information from a specified web page. This paper presents a design and implementation for the protein databases of an organism by utilizing web data extraction techniques.

FPGA Implementation of SURF-based Feature extraction and Descriptor generation (SURF 기반 특징점 추출 및 서술자 생성의 FPGA 구현)

  • SURF is an algorithm which extracts feature points and generates their descriptors from input images, and it is being used for many applications such as object recognition, tracking, and constructing panorama pictures. Although SURF is known to be robust to changes of scale, rotation, and view points, it is hard to implement it in real time due to its complex and repetitive computations. Using 3.3 GHz Pentium, in our experiment, it takes 240ms to extract feature points and create descriptors in a VGA image containing about 1,000 feature points, which means that software implementation cannot meet the real time requirement, especially in embedded systems. In this paper, we present a hardware architecture that can compute the SURF algorithm very fast while consuming minimum hardware resources. Two key concepts of our architecture are parallelism (for repetitive computations) and efficient line memory usage (obtained by analyzing memory access patterns). As a result of FPGA synthesis using Xilinx Virtex5LX330, it occupies 101,348 LUTs and 1,367 KB on-chip memory, giving performance of 30 frames per second at 100 MHz clock.
