A Study on Platform Design Factors to Raise Public Awareness of the Horse Industry (말 산업의 대중인식 제고를 위한 플랫폼 설계요인에 관한 연구)

  • This study examines which factors will act as important factors for the public in designing a platform in the future to raise public awareness of the horse industry, and through this, a study on platform design factors of the horse industry to present insights on optimal platform design. For this study, structured questionnaires were distributed to 300 domestic adults who were interested in the horse industry to collect data, and the research questions set by using the statistical processing program SPSS 22.0 Ver were verified. As a result of the study, the usefulness of information in the central route and the playfulness of the information source among the peripheral routes were the most influential factors for consumer attitudes, and the up-to-dateness of information in the central route on consumer behavioral intentions. It was found that the attractiveness of the information source among the surrounding routes was the most influential factor. In addition, it was found that the positive attitude of consumers toward the horse industry platform is a factor that has a positive effect on the purchase intention and positive word of mouth intention for the horse industry in the future. Based on these results, this researcher needs to design content that can unravel useful information related to the horse industry in an interesting way to raise public awareness of the horse industry, and to provide the latest trends related to the horse industry at all times to draw real demand It should be possible and suggested that a design configuration that can make the platform feel more attractive is needed.

The Relationship between Weather and Meal choices: A Case Study of Restaurants and Cafés on Korean University Campus (날씨와 식사 선택의 관계: 한국대학 캠퍼스 내 식당과 카페의 사례연구)

  • The food service industry is a major driver of global sustainable food consumption. By understanding food consumption behavior, restaurant managers can forecast demands and reduce pre-consumer food waste. This study investigates the relationship between influencing factors and the number of customers at restaurants and cafés. These factors are weather-related factors, including rain and temperature, and school-related factors, including exams and the day of the week. Based on these four factors, 24 possible combinations were created. Three representtive days were chosen for each weekday combination. Besides, one representative day was chosen for each weekend combination. In total, 48 days were sampled throughout the year. Customer data were collected from six restaurants and cafes on a Korean university campus. Conjoint analysis was used to determine the relative importance of each variable to customer numbers. Following that, utility scores were standardized and mapped to determine the best condition when the number of customers was at its peak. In addition, each store's sales were compared using Pearson's Correlation Coefficient. The findings support that temperature and rain influences are correlated with the number of customers. Furthermore, we discovered that temperature was far more significant than rain in determining the number of customers. The paper discusses the implications of weather to forecast food and beverage demand and predict meal choices.

Sensitivity Assessment of Spiral RF Surface Coils for MR Microscopic Imaging and Spectroscopy (자기공명미세영상 및 분광법을 위한 나선형 RF 표면코일의 감는 횟수에 따른 민감도 평가)

  • The purpose of this study was to improve the technique so as to develop an advanced sensitive RF surface coil for investigating the sensitivities of the multi-spiral surface coils, and we eventually wanted to achieve high resolution of the microscopic MR images and MR spectra. The magnetic field inhomogeneity and shape of a surface coil were statistically estimated by simulation of the magnetic field distribution. On the basis of the experimental results with single, 3 and S-turned spiral RF surface coils, we found that the 3-turned coil had the highest sensitivity. The present study showed that the sensitivity of the RF surface coil was improved by increasing the number of spiral coil turns, and also the SNR of the RF surface coil was dependent upon the number of spiral coil turns. However, we found, rather strikingly, that the sensitivity of excessive turns of the coils was decreased due to the rise of the coil's Impedance. Thus, the present results demonstrated that the sensitivity was not proportional to the number of a spiral RF coil's turns, and the number of spiral coil turns should be optimized for obtaining the highest sensitivity and SNR.

Methodology of Shape Design for Component Using Optimal Design System (최적설계 시스템을 이용한 부품에 대한 형상설계 방법론)

  • This paper describes a methodology for shape design using an optimal design system, whereas generally a three dimensional analysis is required for such designs. An automatic finite element mesh generation technique, which is based on fuzzy knowledge processing and computational geometry techniques, is incorporated into the system, together with a commercial FE analysis code and a commercial solid modeler. Also, with the aid of multilayer neural networks, the present system allows us to automatically obtain a design window, in which a number of satisfactory design solutions exist in a multi-dimensional design parameter space. The developed optimal design system is successfully applied to evaluate the structures that are used. This study used a stress gauge to measure the maximum stress affecting the parts of the side housing bracket which are most vulnerable to cracking. Thereafter, we used a tool to interpret the maximum stress value, while maintaining the same stress as that exerted on the spot. Furthermore, a stress analysis was performed with the typical shape maintained intact, SM490 used for the material and the minimizing weight safety coefficient set to 3, while keeping the maximum stress the same as or smaller than the allowable stress. In this paper, a side housing bracket with a comparably simple structure for 36 tons was optimized, however if the method developed in this study were applied to side housing brackets of different classes (tons), their quality would be greatly improved.

Optimal Composition of Sex Attractant for Monitoring Adults of Spodoptera litura (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) in Korea (담배거세미나방(Spodoptera litura) 성충의 예찰을 위한 최적 성유인제 조성)

  • This study was conducted to determine the optimal composition of sex attractant for monitoring adults of the tobacco cutworm, Spodoptera litura, in Korea. Lures of different compositions from the two sex pheromone components the female, (Z,E)-9,11-tetradecadienyl acetate (Z9E11-14:Ac) and (Z,E)-9,12-tetradecadienyl acetate (Z9E12-14:Ac), were compared for male attraction using synthetic chemicals, rubber septa, and funnel traps in soybean and peanut fields. After sequential tests were conducted using three sets of the two components different ranges from 5:5 to 10:1, from 9:1 to 99:1, and from 9:1 to 39:1, the 19:1 ratio was identified as the most efficient composition. However, S. litura males were barely caught in the trap of the Z9E11-14Ac single component lure. The results show that both the sex attractant compounds are necessary for monitoring adults S. litura males. The higher the pheromone amount in the dispenser in the range from 0.1 to 10 mg, the more males were attracted. Furthermore, the trap height of 1.5 m was optimal for male capture.

Optimization of micro structure of solid oxide fuel cell electrode (고체산화물 연료전지 변수 조사 및 전극미세구조 최적화)

  • 고체산화물연료전지는 청정에너지원으로써 기존의 발전방식을 대신할 차세대 에너지원으로 각광 받고 있다. 고체산화물 연료전지는 고온에서 작동하는 특성상 실험을 통하여 전극미세구조 및 구동조건을 최적화하는 것은 매우 어렵다. 본 연구는 전기화학식을 이용한 전산모사를 통해서 고체산화물 연료전지의 구동조건에 따른 성능 평가 및 전극의 미세구조 최적화 과정을 수행하였다. 전극 내 전달현상을 무시하고 오직 전기화학반응만을 고려한 전산모사는 단전지의 전극미세구조 및 구동조건에 따른 전지성능을 빠르게 예측할 수 있으며, 이를 기반으로 다양한 조건에서 얻은 전지 성능 데이터를 통해 전극미세구조를 최적화하였다. 개회로전압, 활성화분극, 저항분극, 물질수송손실을 표현하기 위하여 Nernst 식, Butler-Voler 식, 옴의 법칙, dusty-gas 모델을 각각 사용하였으며, 전극미세구조 및 구동조건의 변화는 물질확산계수 및 교환전류밀도를 통하여 그 영향이 전지성능에 반영된다. 온도, 압력, 주입 연료의 조성에 대한 성능평가가 수행되었으며, 1023K, 1 bar의 조건하에서 최적의 단전지 성능을 위한 기공도와 기공크기를 조사하였다. 더 향상된 단전지 성능 확보를 위해서 실험에서 쓰이는 기능층(functional layer)과 유사하게 넓은 반응 면적과 원활한 반응물 및 생성물의 이동을 보장하도록 기공도 및 기공크기를 그레이딩한 전극구조(graded-electrode)를 디자인하고 성능을 평가하였다. 그 결과 기존의 전지구조 대신에 그레이딩된 전극을 사용할 경우 50%이상 향상된 전지성능을 예측할 수 있었다.

  • 다상 고정층 촉매반응기(Multiphase catalytic fixed-bed reactor)에서 기체 유동과 관련, 반응기 내부 구조 디자인에 따른 feed 가스의 분산성 변화를 분석하였다. 다상 촉매반응기의 경우 feed gas의 투입방법이 전체 공정의 반응효율을 크게 결정하는바 본 연구에서는 산업현장에서 활용도가 높은 환형 가스 주입부로 구성된 다상 고정층 촉매반응기를 대상으로 다양한 조건하에서 촉매 반응기 내부에서의 feed가스 분산성 변화를 분석하였다. 다상 촉매반응기의 feed gas 주입과 관련하여 다양한 방안이 제시되고 있는데 그 중 환형 가스 주입방식을 활용하는 방법은 타 기술대비 상대적으로 저렴한 투자비와 좁은 작업공간하에서 기체의 분산성을 향상 시킬수 있는 특징이 있어 실제 상업 공정에서의 활용성이 매우 높다. 본 논문에서는 특히 기-고 촉매 반응기 내부 반응기체의 분산성 향상을 위해 환형 가스 주입장치 내부에 설치된 가스 주입홀 구성방법에 따른 반응기 내부 유동을 분석하였다. 분석결과 주입홀의 위치가 가스 투입라인의 접선방향에 위치하는 것은 전체 분산성에 큰 영향을 주지 못하며 대부분 가스투입 입구와 맞은편 부분에 위치하는 경우 분산성이 향상되는 것으로 분석되었다. 결과적으로 환형 가스주입장치의 최적 설계는 feed 가스의 분산성에 큰 영향을 미치므로 초기단계에서 이러한 점을 고려한 설계 및 분석연구가 선행되어야 할 것으로 사료된다.

A Comparison of Scheduling Optimization Algorithm for the Efficient Satellite Mission Scheduling Operation (효율적인 위성 임무 스케줄링 운영을 위한 스케줄링 최적화 알고리즘 비교 연구)

  • A comparison of two kinds of scheduling optimization algorithms is presented in this paper. As satellite control and operation techniques have been developed, satellite missions became more complicated and overall quantity of missions also increased. These changes require more specific consideration and a huge amount of computation for the satellite mission scheduling. Therefore, it is a good strategy to make a scheduling optimization algorithm for the efficient satellite mission scheduling operation. In this paper, two kinds of scheduling optimization algorithms are designed with tabu-search algorithm and genetic algorithm respectively. These algorithms are applied for the same mission scenario and the results of each algorithm are compared and analyzed.

An Operation Scheme of Local Sink in Geographic Routing for Wireless Sensor Networks (무선 센서 네트워크를 위한 위치 기반 라우팅에서 로컬 싱크 운영 기법)

  • This paper addresses issues to efficiently collect and aggregate data of sources within a local and adjacent region in geographic routing for wireless sensor networks. We first introduce the concept of a local sink which collects and aggregates data form source nodes in the region and delivers the aggregated data to a global sink. We also design a model to determine an optimal location of the local sink and propose a mechanism to collect data through the local sink. Simulation results show that the proposed mechanism with the local sink is more efficient in terms of the energy and the data delivery ratio than the existing mechanism without the local sink in a geographic routing.

Formation of Fine Pitch Solder Bumps on Polytetrafluoroethylene Printed Circuit Board using Dry Film Photoresist (Dry Film Photoresist를 이용한 테프론 PCB 위 미세 피치 솔더 범프 형성)

  • We have demonstrated the applicability of dry film photoresist (DFR) in photolithography process for fine pitch solder bumping on the polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE/Teflon ) printed circuit board (PCB). The copper lines were formed with 100$\mu\textrm{m}$ width and 18$\mu\textrm{m}$ thickness on the PTFE test board, and varying the gaps between two copper lines in a range of 100-200$\mu\textrm{m}$. The DFRs of 15$\mu\textrm{m}$ thickness were laminated by hot roll laminator, by varying laminating temperature from $100{\circ}C$ to 15$0^{\circ}C$ and laminating speed from 0.28-0.98cm/s. We have found the optimum process of DFR lamination on PTFE PCB and accomplished the formation of indium solder bumps. The optimum lamination condition was temperature of $150^{\circ}C$ and speed of about 0.63cm/s. And the smallest size of indium solder bump was diameter of 50$\mu\textrm{m}$ with pitch of 100$\mu\textrm{m}$.
