Thisstudy presentsthe development of a fast-time airport surface simulator. The simulator usesthe output from a first-come first-served (FCFS) scheduler and has adopted one-dimensional dynamic model to simulate the movement of the aircraft on the surface. Higher collision risks situations in the airport surface traffic are analyzed to classify those situations into six cases. A conflict detection and resolution algorithm is implemented to maintain separation distance and to prevent deadlock. The simulator was tested with a scenario at the Incheon International Airport that contains 72 aircraft. Without the conflict detection and resolution, various conflict situations are identified. When the conflict detection and resolution algorithm is managing the traffic, it is confirmed that the conflicts are removed at the price of additional delays. In the conflict resolution algorithm, three prioritization strategies are implemented, and delayed aircraft count and average additional delays are compared. Prioritization based on remaining time or distance showed smaller total additional delay compared to choosing minimum delay priority for each situation.

At the computer games, we can experience a variety of environments using a virtual object. It is similar to that be trained in War-game simulator of the defense. Actual soldiers and a computer-generated virtual group(Computer Generated Force: CGF) in 3-D virtual battlefield environment are training. However, path finding algorithm, one of the techniques of simulation models, to the current level only considers the shortest time path. So, this current level at the special situation of the army in the battlefield for selecting the optimal path is limited. The focus of this paper is to select the least-cost path using the deadline with several different mission conditions(METT+TC). For the only shortest time path algorithm and the least-cost path algorithm using dealine,($d_t$, one of METT+TC elements), Its usefulness is verifying the change of the move spent time(t) for all possible paths and the fighting power of the combat troops(Troops ability, a) through a comparison of the total cost of moves(c(t)). According to the results, when considering the deadline, the proposed algorithm saves about 62.5% of the maximum cost.

In order to adapt to human's life and perform missions, a humanoid robot needs a height at least similar with children's. In this paper, we proposed a humanoid robot which is like a child who is taller than 1m. We presented showing the humanoid robot's kinematics, designing of a three-dimensional model, developing mechanisms, and the hardware structures using servo motors and compact size PC. Through this process, we designed and manufactured child humanoid robot 'CHARLES(Cognitive Humanoid Autonomous Robot with Learning and Evolutionary Systems)' that is robot is 1m 10cm tall and 8.16kg in weight. For robot's walking, we applied to ZMP-based walking technique and the creation algorithm is applied for walking patterns. Through experiments, we analyzed walking patterns according to the creation and changing parameter values.

In order to design a wave energy generate system, a 6-Degree of freedom motion analysis technique was applied to the three-Dimensional CFD analysis on two floating body and the behavior was interpreted according to the nature of the incoming wave. The waves are generated by the same type of wave in the model of tank using the piston type, but due to the shallow water that is generated from the bottom of the wave energy is attenuated by Ekman boundary layer. According to the wavelength of waves generated by the result of evaluating the behavior of floating body, it is concluded that 0.3m is the maximum amplitude of wavelength of 5m, and 0.15m is the minimum amplitude of wavelength of 1m. 1.06m is the maximum distance between the two floaters of wavelength of 6m.

Unfortunately, the area without economical efficiency, especially the far distance sea, is much lower than that of a urban area-built-up area. It should be promoted the equivalent level to a urban area in the light of future-oriented universal service. Actually, Because propagation environment of mobile communication in the sea is greatly different from that for inland focused on built-up area, a propagation prediction model in the sea should be distinguished from inland-based one. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to suggest the propagation prediction model for the sea service as a method to minimize unnecessary facilities investment and maintenance caused by additional or new building of a base station. If mobile phone service for far distance sea is provided by expanding limited communication zone of narrow band CDMA mobile communication whose spread band FA is 1.2288MHz. Suggested propagation prediction model includes five parameters to minimize facilities investment of a base station and maximize channel capacity: equivalent line of sight, chip delay by PN code, antenna altitude, power of base station and gain of antennas. Finally, suggested propagation prediction model is simulated and, the results are examined for its utility by comparing with loss of free space.
Three-dimensional distributions of longwave radiation flux for the April-September 1998 period are generated from radiative transfer calculations using the GEWEX Asian Monsoon Experiment (GAME) reanalysis temperature and humidity profiles and International Satellite Cloud Climatology Project (ISCCP) cloudiness as inputs to understand the effect of cloud radiative forcing in the monsoon season. By subtracting the heating of the clear atmosphere from the cloudy radiative heating, cloud-induced atmospheric radiative heating has been obtained. Emphasis is placed on the impact of horizontal gradients of the cloud-generated radiative heating on the Asian monsoon. Cloud-induced heating exhibits its maximum heating areas within the Indian Ocean and minimum heating over the Tibetan Plateau, which establishes the north-south oriented differential heating gradient. Considering that the differential heating is a ultimate source generating the atmospheric circulation, the cloud-induced heating gradient established between the Indian Ocean and the Plateau can enhance the strength of the north-south Hadley-type monsoon circulation. Cooling at cloud top and warming at cloud bottom, which are the vertical distributions of cloud-induced heating, can exert on the monsoon circulation by altering the atmospheric stability.
In this paper, we introduce a fuzzy inference systems for nonlinear inference using fuzzy cluster. Typically, the generation of fuzzy rules for nonlinear inference causes the problem that the number of fuzzy rules increases exponentially if the input vectors increase. To handle this problem, the fuzzy rules of fuzzy model are designed by dividing the input vector space in the scatter form using fuzzy clustering algorithm which expresses fuzzy cluster. From this method, complex nonlinear process can be modeled. The premise part of the fuzzy rules is determined by means of FCM clustering algorithm with fuzzy clusters. The consequence part of the fuzzy rules have four kinds of polynomial functions and the coefficient parameters of each rule are estimated by using the standard least-squares method. And we use the data widely used in nonlinear process for the performance and the nonlinear characteristics of the nonlinear process. Experimental results show that the non-linear inference is possible.

In this paper, the several indexes represented by swimming characteristics of aquarcultured red seabream, Dchrysophrys majors in a farming water raft(10L×10W×5H) were measured by ultrasonic telemetry. The fishes tagged by pingers were tracked by the LBL method(Shin etc., 1994). The location of fishes were calculated by the hyperbolic method and the indexes were estimated by the least square method. The similarity was confirmed by the comparision between experiment and simulation on the swimming trajectory of fishes, the mean distance of individual from wall, the mean swimming speed and the mean distance between the nearest individuals. The obtained results are summerized as follows ; 1. The swimming trajectory of fishes tagged by the pingers and the swimming trajectory by the simulation for 120 minutes showed a simularity. 2. The mean swimming speed by the experiment and the simulation showed 39.2 ㎝/sec (1.4BL ㎝/sec) and 44.4 ㎝/sec (1.6BL ㎝/sec), respectively. 3. The mean swimming depth by the experiment and the simulation showed 238㎝ and 248 ㎝, respectively. 4. The mean distance of individuals from wall of the farming water raft by the experiment and the simulation showed 132 cm and 129 cm, respectively. 5. The mean distance between the nearest individuals by the experiment and the simulation showed 83 ㎝ and 61 ㎝, respectively.

Seismic tomography has been widely used as high resolution subsurface imaging techniques in engineering applications. Although most of the techniques have been using travel time inversion, waveform method is being driven forward owing to the progress of computational environments. Although full-waveform inversion method has been known as the best method in terms of model resolving power without high-frequency restriction and weak scattering approximation, it has practical disadvantage that it is apt to get stuck in local minimum if the initial guess is far from the actual model and it consumes so much time to calculate. In this study, 2-D full-waveform inversion algorithm in acoustic medium is developed, which uses result of traveltime tomography as initial model. From the application on synthetic data, it is proved that this approach can efficiently reduce the problem of conventional approaches: our algorithm shows much faster convergence rate and improvement of model resolution. Result of application on physical modeling data also shows much improvement. It is expected that this algorithm can be applicable to real data.

In order to support the development of a cost-effective river bathymetric system, this research has focused on modeling GPS observables, which are obtained by array of five single-frequency receivers (i.e., two references and three rovers) to estimate the high accurate kinematic position, and the surveying vessel altitude. Also, by applying all GPS measurements as multiple-baselines with constraining rover baselines, we derived the socalled ‘kinematic network model.’ From the model, the integer-constrained least-squares (LS) for position estimation and the implicit LS for attitude determination were implemented, while a series of simulation tests with respect to the baseline lengths around 2km performed to demonstrate its accuracy analysis. The on-the-fly (OTF) ambiguity resolution tests revealed that ninety-nine percents of time-to-fix-first ambiguity (TTFF) can be decided in less than two seconds, when the positioning accuracy of ambiguity-fixed solutions was assessed as the greater than or equal to one and two centimeters in horizontal and vertical, respectively. Comparing to the GPS-derived attitudes, the achievable accuracy gradually descended in sequence of yaw, pitch and roll due to the antenna geometric configuration. Furthermore, the RMSE values for the baseline lengths of three to six meters were within ±1′for yaw, and less than ±10′and ±20′for pitch and roll, respectively, but those of between six to fifteen meters were less than ±1′for yaw, ±5′for pitch, and ±10′for roll.
