Preservice Elementary Teachers' Attitudes toward Science and Process Skills (초등 예비교사들의 과학에 대한 태도와 탐구 능력)

  • The purpose of this study is to inquire the properties and relationship of attitudes toward science and process skills of preservice elementary teachers. Two instruments were used to collect the data, SAS(Science Attitude Scales) for checking up attitude toward science and TIPS II(Test of Integrated Process Skill II) for inspecting science process skills. Three main results were revealed. First, preservice elementary teachers' the attitude toward science and science process skills could not show the significant differences by gender. This result is differ from the results of preceding researches which had set up the students of elementary, middle and high school as objects. Second, the properties of preservice elementary teachers' the attitude toward science and science process skills according to the course in high school were also differ from those of preceding researches having students as objects. The preservice elementary teachers who got the literary courses in high school were more confident in science learning and perform that those who have the academic background of science courses in high school. In addition, although they showed better abilities in two sub-scales of science process skills, the preservice teachers with science course didn't show the better science process skills than those who had taken the literary course in total score of science process skill test. Third, there was a significant relationship between attitude toward science and science process skills of preservice elementary teachers but just one sub-scale was related with science process skills. According to these results, it can be said that the preceding results with students as objects can not be applied to and preservice elementary teachers should be guided by the methods which are considering their special properties.

DENTAL TRAUMA MANAGEMENT KNOWLEDGE AMONG A GROUP OF TEACHERS IN GWANG-JU (광주광역시 초중고 교사들의 치아외상에 대한 지식과 태도)

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the level of dental trauma management in elementary, middle and high school teachers using questionnaires. 325 elementary school teachers, 101 middle school teachers, and 232 high school teachers, totally 658(males of 362, females of 296)teachers were provided with the questionnaires. Part I in the questionnaires was composed of their gender, age, experience as teachers and whether they received education about dental trauma or not. Part II included questions about appropriate attitudes in case of specific dental trauma. Part III was composed of questions asking knowledges about states of damaged teeth and possible emergency service. The attitude in managing tooth fracture showed significant difference between male and female teachers. The attitude in managing tooth avulsion showed significant difference among elementary, middle and high school teachers. Although it had difference according to questions, insufficient knowledge and awareness about the management of dental trauma were shown in the majority of teachers. It is recommended that educational program for improvement of awareness about immediate management of traumatized teeth is necessary for teachers.

  • In this paper, we have designed the management System to monitor and control computers running on MS Windows in the PC room using SNMP. The proposed system has controlling capability to control the status of PC and monitoring functions to have real-time monitoring and process control. In the controlling system, it supports update and setting of the configuration information of PC and backup/restore the information when it happens to be some faults. In the monitoring system, it has monitoring the PC of students, controlling the process on PC, and invoking a new job. This system contributes to enhance the effectiveness of teacher's educational activities in PC room by controlling and monitoring the program running on student's computer.

기지개켜는e러닝시장…교육패러다임바꾼다

  • 초중고 등 가장 기본적인 공교육에서부터 기업에서 이뤄지는 직능 교육에 이르기까지 굳이 교육에 대한 중요성을 일일이 열거하지 않더라도 이 미교육은일상생활깊숙이자리잡고있다. 이러상황에서최근몇년간기존오프라인교육에서벗어나새로운온라인교육방식, e러닝에대한관 심과투자가이뤄졌다. 하지만e러닝은거대해보이는시장규모와는달리정작업체들의영세성, 가격경쟁, e러닝에대한사용자인식부족등이 복합적으로어우러져시장성장이더디게이뤄졌다. 최근들어기존의문제점을하나하나풀어나가며새로운중흥기를맞고있는e러닝의시장현 황과표준화동향에대해서살펴본다.

  • 초, 중, 고 정규 교육과정에 피지컬컴퓨팅 단원이 포함 되었고 교구 지향적인 특성을 갖는다. 피지컬 단원을 위해 매우 다양한 교구가 출시 되고 있으나 학생들의 창의적인 아이디어를 모두 수용 가능하며 저렴한 교구는 찾기 힘들다. 저렴하고 막강한 기능을 가진 아두이노가 최적의 보드이지만 어려운 하드웨어 세팅과 텍스트 코딩 기반이라 외면 받고 있다. 또한 블록코딩이 가능하긴 하나 단순한 디지털, 아날로그 센서 제어 명령만 제공하다 보니 다른 보드와 기능적인 차이는 없으면서 하드웨어 세팅만 어렵게 느껴진다. 아두이노가 가진 다양한 입, 출력 모듈을 제한 없이 사용 가능한 장점을 훼손하지 않으며, 코딩이 쉬우려면 센서 제한 없는 블록코딩이 되어야 한다. 만약 아두이노가 하드웨어 세팅이 쉬우면서 거의 모든 입출력장치를 블록명령으로 제어가능하다면 초중고 학생들이 자신의 아이디어를 제한 없이 구현하여 창의적인 작품을 만들 수 있을 것이다. 따라서 블록코딩으로 아두이노의 막강한 기능을 제한 없이 사용하기 위한 방법을 연구하고, 해결책을 찾아 제시한다.

  • Recently, the introduction of the elementary and middle school software education essential courses in 2018, the emergence of educational solutions, and the need for digital content for software education rather than simple coding. In addition, in the case of current coding education, it is necessary to study how to induce interest in elementary, middle and high school students. In this study, we included the interactive (UX / UI) function using MR(Mixed Reality) and induced interest in coding education, and it was possible to cultivate logical thinking by applying storytelling coding rather than injection education. Suggested way. As a result of research, elementary, middle, and high school students easily proposed logical thinking education beyond the existing injection education method using mixed reality(MR) technology, and will break away from the injection coding education which is a problem of the school and school.
