블루레이 디스크 픽업용 초정밀 고개구율 플라스틱 대물렌즈 (Ultra-precision High Numerical Aperture Plastic Objective Lens for Blu-ray Disc Pick-up)

  • We develop a plastic object lens for blu-ray disc playing pick-up module as morethan 0.85 numerical aperture in this research. We design plastic object lens for blu-ray disc playing pick-up module's each factor's in balanced and made our designed lens by injection molding. Furthermore, by correction designing in mold-core, we optimization our lens efficiency as world grade; wave front aberration $0.028{\lambda}$. RMS, light axis differential 0.3967arcmin. We can manufacture localized blu-ray disc's pick-up lens's component and by this fact we obtain international competitiveness. The result of this research will be very helpful to develop a single objective lens for 3 different wavelength of laser diodes in playing and recording pick-up module.

난삭재의 초정밀.고능률 연삭가공을 위한 다이아몬드숫돌의 개발 (Development of diamond wheel for ultra precision and high performance grinding of difficult-to-materials)

  • Development of diamond wheel with fine grains and multi-pore structures were newely attempted. Wheels, that are employed for ultra precision and high performance grinding of difficult-to materials such as tungsten carbide alloy using tool and die materials, must have both performances to remove tool marks efficiently and to contact elastically with curved surfaces. Diamond grains were bonded firmly by a melamine resin to prevent the decrease of machining efficiency due to grain sinking within the bond materials. Also, highly foamed structures were developed to increase the flexibility of the wheel, and to induce active self-sharpening by increasing contact pressure between the wheel and work surfaces. In this paper, melamine-bonded diamond wheels are trial manufactured, then the forming method of wheels are suggested, and the grinding characteristics of wheels are also illustrated.

  • This paper is described about the technique of ultra-precision machining for an aerospace aspheric mirror. The reflection mirror system generates parallel beams inside a thermal vacuum chamber. A 200mm diameter aspheric mirror was fabricated by SPDTM. Aluminum alloy as mirror substrates is known to be easily machined, but not polishable due to its ductility. Aspheric large reflector without a polishing process, the surface roughness of 10nm Ra, and the form error of ${\lambda}/2$ (${\lambda}$=632.8nm) for reference curved surface 200mm has been required. The purpose of this research is to find the optimum machining conditions for cutting reflector using Al6061-T651 and apply the SPDTM technique to the manufacturing of ultra precision optical components of Al-alloy aspheric reflector.

Zerodur의 초정밀 연삭 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics on Ultra-Precision Grinding of a Zerodur)

  • We explored a new rough grinding technique on optics materials such as Zerodur. The facility used is a NANOFORM-600 diamond turning machine with a custom grinding module and a range of diamond resin bond wheel. The grinding parameters such as workpiece rotation speed, depth of cut and feed rate were altered while grinding the workpiece surfaces of 20mm in diameter. Surface roughness was measured by Form Talysurf series2. Our target is to define grinding conditions producing the surface roughness smaller than $0.2{\mu}m$ Ra.

초정밀 스테이지용 스토퍼기구의 개발 (Development of Stopper Mechanism for the Precision Stage with Nanometer Accuracy)

  • This paper presents a new stopper mechanism for precision stage by using the Piezoelectric element actuator. The new stage including a new stopper mechanism has the precision positioning mechanism that was been developed for generation displacements with nanometer accuracy and a millimeter dynamic range simulataneouly. The stage is composed not of the mechanical two stopper but of only one Piezoelectric element actuator. The characteristics for the new stage and the stopper have been evaluated experimentally. As the results, we can know that the linearity error characteristics of stage is 30nm in the $20{\mu}m$ measurement range. In addition, the experimental results are confirmed the possibility of the movement in millimeter range.

  • 많은 자동화기기를 사용하는 산업현장에서 모터로부터의 하모닉 발생은 필연적이다. 또한 초정밀 고속제어를 함에 있어서는 더욱더 많은 하모닉이 발생하게 된다. 이러한 하모닉은 내부 코일에 발열을 증가시키며 정상상태 전류정격을 감소시키고 부품의 열화로 제품의 수명을 감소시킨다. 본 논문에서는 고강성 제어기를 사용함으로써 나타나는 하모닉을 주파수 분석을 통하여 연구하였다. 주파수 영역을 분석하는 방법으로 하드웨어 계산능력을 고려하여 FFT기법을 적용하였으며 시스템에 따라 하모닉의 크기와 주파수가 달라지므로 시스템에 따라 적절히 주파수 대역을 바꿀 수 있는 프로그램을 개발하였다. 본 연구실에서 Simulink 모델로 이미 개발되어 있는 고강성 제어기에 대하여 개발된 프로그램을 적용함으로써 고강성 제어기의 하모닉 특성을 Simulink로 분석하였다.

  • Precision stage is essential device for semiconductor equipments, fiber optic assembly systems and micro machines. In this paper, we develop a piezo-electric inchworm type actuator for long stroke ultra precision linear stages, and implement a controller to interface with commercial motion controllers. It provides fast implementation of precise position control system substituting for rotary motor. In the future, using a laser interferometer as a position sensor, we plan to implement a nano meter precision stage.

  • SAW device is widely used as filters, sensors, actuators in various technologies. And capacitive sensor is tremendously used to measure pressure, gap, etc. The application of SAW device as signal conditioner of capacitive sensor reduces noise level and enables high precision measurement. The response increase of SAW based capacitive sensor is produced just before the two capacitive electrode contacts by the existence of parasitic resistance of capacitive electrode. In this paper, we analyze the effects of parasitic resistance and propose the calibrating method using lumped component and execute the high precision gap measurement using calibrated system. And xx nm resolution and yy ${\mu}m$ stroke was attained.

  • This paper is focused on the research of the ultra precision linear motor by using piezo stack actuators. The development of linear motor which can be controlled nano or micro scale is necessary for the precision manufacturing. Self-moving-cell principle is used for the design of linear motor Self-moving-cell linear motor is consisted of three cell structures, and each cell has two shells and one piezo-stack actuator. Each cell can do clamping and moving by two shell structures. The shell structure deformation by piezo stack actuator can move the linear motor by losing the clamping between the shall and guideway. This paper presents the design, manufacturing and test of the motor.

  • In recent years grinding techniques for precision machining of brittle materials used in electric optical and magnetic parts have been improved by using superabrasive wheel and precision grinding machine. The completion of optimum dressing of superabrasibve wheel makes possible the effective precision grinding of brittle materials. But the present dressing system cannot have control of optimum dressing of the superabrasive wheel. This study has proposed a new optimum in-process dressing of superabrasive wheel and give very effective control according to gap increase.
