Character Detection and Recognition of Steel Materials in Construction Drawings using YOLOv4-based Small Object Detection Techniques (YOLOv4 기반의 소형 물체탐지기법을 이용한 건설도면 내 철강 자재 문자 검출 및 인식기법)

  • As deep learning-based object detection and recognition research have been developed recently, the scope of application to industry and real life is expanding. But deep learning-based systems in the construction system are still much less studied. Calculating materials in the construction system is still manual, so it is a reality that transactions of wrong volumn calculation are generated due to a lot of time required and difficulty in accurate accumulation. A fast and accurate automatic drawing recognition system is required to solve this problem. Therefore, we propose an AI-based automatic drawing recognition accumulation system that detects and recognizes steel materials in construction drawings. To accurately detect steel materials in construction drawings, we propose data augmentation techniques and spatial attention modules for improving small object detection performance based on YOLOv4. The detected steel material area is recognized by text, and the number of steel materials is integrated based on the predicted characters. Experimental results show that the proposed method increases the accuracy and precision by 1.8% and 16%, respectively, compared with the conventional YOLOv4. As for the proposed method, Precision performance was 0.938. The recall was 1. Average Precision AP0.5 was 99.4% and AP0.5:0.95 was 67%. Accuracy for character recognition obtained 99.9.% by configuring and learning a suitable dataset that contains fonts used in construction drawings compared to the 75.6% using the existing dataset. The average time required per image was 0.013 seconds in the detection, 0.65 seconds in character recognition, and 0.16 seconds in the accumulation, resulting in 0.84 seconds.

  • 날이 갈수록 빨라지는 IT분야의 발달로 최근 정보 통신망, 핸드폰, 컴퓨터 등의 발달과 함께 시간과 장소에 상관없이 빠르게 동영상 수요가 급증 하고 있다. 급증하고 있는 동영상 수요에 맞춰 고품질의 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 압축 부호화 기술이 필수적이다. 이와 같은 흐름에 따라 표준화 기관인 ITU-T, ISO/IEC는 2013년 초, 최신 압축 부호화 기술인 HEVC를 제정하였다. HEVC에서는 이전 표준과 비교하여 다양한 부호화 기술이 포함되었는데 그 중 화면 내 예측 기술에서는 35가지 모드 중에서 최적의 모드를 결정하여 예측 블록을 더욱 정밀하게 생성한다. 이때, 색차 성분의 화면 내 예측 모드는 휘도 성분의 예측 모드와는 달리, 고정된 5개의 모드만 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 5개 모드의 번호를 통계적 특성을 이용하여 새롭게 모드 번호를 할당하는 실험을 수행하고 결과를 분석한 후, 향후 연구 방향을 제시한다.

  • The aspherical lenses are used as objective lens of optical pickup. To examine the design factor the sample product is made before manufacturing of injection mould of lens. The optimum cutting condition of PMMA lens sample with ultra precision SPDT, the roam spindle speed, the depth of cut, the feedrate are found. The demanded surface roughness 100m Ra, aspherical form error $0.5{\mu}m$ P-V for aspherical lens of optical data storage device are satisfied.

  • It is necessary to design the anti-vibration system of precision machinery for a quality assurance. However, in general, the allowable vibration limit is not well known. In this paper, the vibration criteria for foundation of sensitive machinery is proposed and anti-vibration system is designed by using vibration measurement results of foundation. Also, the finite element analysis is performed to verify the effectiveness of the designed anti-vibration system and to determine the allowable dynamic loads of precision measuring system. The results of this study will be helpful for the future design of anti-vibration structures with nano scale measuring system.

  • We explored a new rough grinding technique on optics materials such as Zerodur. The facility used is a NANOFORM-600 diamond turning machine with a custom grinding module and range of diamond resin bond wheel. The grinding parameters such as workpiece rotation speed depth of cut and feed rate were altered while grinding the workpiece surfaces of 20m in diameter. Surface roughness is measured by Form Talysurf series2. Our target is to define grinding conditions producing the surface roughness better than 0.02${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ Ra and the form accuracy of around 0.2${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ PV.

  • Recently, according to the development of mechatronics industry that was composed of NT, ST, IT, RT and etc, the 1 necessity of nano-parts was increased. Because of the necessity, this research was started for improving work precision of the parts as fixing UPCU( Ultra Precision Cutting Unit)on lathe. So, in this research we executed the modeling of UPCU (Ultra Precision Cutting Unit) by the application of PZT, the relationship between the displacement of tool in UPCU and the cutting force of it has been in take a triangular position in the case of plane cutting. The modeling of system that is containing the fine displacement was performed. Also, we found like to find the optimal cutting condition through the simulation of relationship between the displacement and the cutting force.

  • Ultra-precision positioning plays a crucial role in emerging technologies such as electronics, bioengineering, optics, and various nanofabrication technologies. As a result, various nanopositioning methods have been presented. In particular, nanopositioning using a flexure mechanism and piezo-electric actuator is one of the most valuable methods because of its friction-free motion and subnanometer-scale motion resolution. In this study, a rotational nanoactuator based on a right-circular flexure mechanism and piezo-electric actuator was developed through a consideration of the kinematics and structural deformation. An experimental setup was constructed to verify the performance expectation. Consequently, it was demonstrated that the developed system had a maximum rotational angle of about 0.01 rad, as well as sufficient linearity with respect to the input voltage.

  • The phase change due to the reflection from target surfaces in a white-light interferometer induces measurement errors when target surfaces are composed of dissimilar materials. We prove that this phase change on reflection as the polarization of the white-light changes causes a shift of both envelope peak position and fringe peak position of several tens of nanometers as the polarization of the white-light changes. In addition, we propose a new equation for white-light interference fringes depending on the polarization of the source.

  • 세계에서 처음으로 건설되는 765kV 2회선 송전선로의 설계 및 사업 개요, 기기개발, 공법개발 및 건설장비 개발에 대하여 간단히 소개하였다. 1970년대 345kV 송전선로 건설때와는 달리 우리 기술로 설계하고 기기개발하여 초기 사업부터 국산화 기기를 사용할 수 있었다는 데에 기술개발의 의의가 있다. 2000년대 초 765kV 송변전 설비를 운용함으로서 전력수급에 원활한 계통운용을 할 수 있으리라 믿는다. 또한 이의 건설을 계기로 우리나라 중전기 사업의 기술향상을 가져왔으며 해외 500kV 및 765 kV 송.변전 사업에 적극적으로 참여할 수 있는 계기가 되리라고 믿는다. 765kV 계통운용등 미진한 분야에 대하여는 지속적으로 연구하여야 하고 기기 제작에는 철저한 개발 시험을 거치고 건설에는 정밀한 시공과 공기준수를 위하여 부단히 노력하여야 되리라고 믿는다.
